Quick update - Danny Newton and Brad Wilkinson are both impressing for their clubs, both winning and coming runner-up once in the Young Player of the Month, especially with Newton aiding Doncaster Rovers to the League cup Semi-finals, defeating such teams as Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City. Stefan Cubitt is also impressing at Crystal Palace, scoring 9 times in 20 appearances. However, it is Ben Copland who has progressed the most, making 8 first team appearances already at Chelsea, establishing himself as their first-choice attacking midfielder, and impressing current England manager Stuart Pearce.

And just a quick comiserations to Danny Newton, almost the first player to win a major tournament (and yes, Doncaster did get to the Carling Cup final!):

End of Season Update: 2014-15

An eventful season saw Danny Newton's Doncaster Rovers overachieve massively, coming runners up in the Carling Cup, getting to the 6th round of the FA Cup and being promoted to the Premier League through the play-offs, defeating Peterborough and Preston North End. Brad Wilkinson appeared 41 times for Newcastle United during his loan deal, playing mainly as a CM alongside Frank Lampard, John Francis finally got some continuous first team action at Barnsley, and Ben Copland, who will spend next season on loan at his beloved Wigan Athletic, broke into the Chelsea first team, making 11 appearances in the league.
