Of course you are, but they look awfully out of place. Hard rock and then some whiny rock?
 
I think its awesome that the bands I consider best bands of all time are still active, and their latest album rocking
A few Examples

ACDC - Black Ice (2008) - There best album since 1990
Kiss - Sonic Boom (2009) - there best album since 1992
Megadeth - Endgame (2009) - there best album since 1986
Metallica - Death Magnetic - (2008) - best album since 1988

i'm sure there are more, but I love the way these bands rock on

Si senor it is all about opinion.

But Hard-Fi (just an example as it was the last ridiculous answer I read) cannot possibly be the best band of all time. It is just common sense.

Just like WBA will not win the PL next season, but someone may think they do, they get deservedly mocked for it. The same applies here. All in my opinion of course.

There are many different ways you could come to the conclusion of 'best band' and many different answers. i.e. Critical acclaim, Influence on music, Record sales, technical ablility but some answers are plainly ridiculous.

Yet there's still a lightyears between these records and their heyday. E.g., Black ice vs Highway to ****, Sonic Boom vs Destroyer, Endgame vs Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, and Ride the Lightning vs Death Magnetic.

And there's always Guns N' Roses (Snigger) - Chinese Democracy vs Appetite For Destruction? Slayer's World Painted Blood vs Show No Mercy (Or Reign in Blood if you're of that inclination). Mind, Nazareth's new album's fairly decent.
 
Muse or Kings Of Leon for me, can't beat the album Resistance and the songs *** on fire, use somebody & cold desert by KOL, just awesomeness!

I think endgame is near equal to peace sells, and the last awesome ACDC album was the razors edge, easy as good as Back in Black, Highway to ****, Powerage etc.
Dont really take any notice of slayer, I liked Reign in Blood, and Christ Ilusion other than that I dont like them, I prefer anthrax, Megadeth and Metallica over them

I haven't read the previous posts, but recently found a band named Enigma or something, the songs are very nice.

well said, there is opinion yes, but I hate it when people moan when there opinion is challenged or mocked.
Like someone had Nickleback in their list ???
