Best finisher ever?

My top five would be:

Ronaldo
Van Nistelrooy
Thierry Henry
Raul
Shearer

Marco van Basten.
Dennis Bergkamp.
Marc Overmars.
Ruud van Nistelrooy.

Gotta love the Dutch

Ruud van Nistelrooy! He's the only striker I hardly ever watched missing a one-on-one. Even Inzaghi and Henry had their occasional terrible misses.

I can't judge players I've never watched live so I can't mention names like Di Stefano or Romario, but Ronaldo and Miroslav Klose surely have their places in my list as well.

2 words for ya guys: Just Fontaine
200 career league games---165 goals
21 Apps for France----30 goals
13 goals in one world cup.
scored in every game of a world cup.

True legend whose career ended early.

Also the usual suspects.
Ronaldo
Romario
Puskas
Shearer
Batistuta

van Nistelrooy, Inzaghi and Ronaldo.

Steve Bull deserves a mention as well from my club, ultimate predator!!

Dont think he would be the 'best' but Darren Bent is a good finisher I think!

I'd have to say Romario or Ronaldo, with honarable mention to Rush, Law, Di Stefano, Batistuta & Muller

Edit: Fontaine & Papin were awesome finishers too

Thread was over after about 3 posts.

Actually post 28 has the best of them all and nobody else mentioned him.
Guess nobody is old enough to have seen him.
Pure legend though

Pelé, probably.

Honorable mentions for Brazillian Ronaldo, Ian Rush, Ferenc Puskas and Marco Van Basten, although I never saw the latter two play, or seen any videos so it's based on what I've read about them.

oh, and Jardel too. Was an incredible finisher in his absolute prime. Shame he was overlooked so much, though.

Eduardo! (Ex Arsenal, Now Shakhtar) As little as we seen of Eduardo he was still up there with the best....(H)

These really. Puskas, Henry and Eusebio certainly deserve a mention aswell.
