Best striker duo in history

Mine are -

Kenny Dalglish and Ian Rush(Liverpool as much as it pains me)
Emilio Butragueño and Hugo Sánchez(Real Madrid 80s)
Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke(ManU)
Alfredo di Stefano and Ferenc Puskas(Real Madrid)
Nándor Hidegkuti and Ferenc Puskas(Hungary)
Alan Shearer and Les Ferdinand  50 goals in 1 season
Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp
Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton

can't believe I will say this one -
Kevin Phillips and Niall Quinn

Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke > any other strikeforce

Rooney and Tevez had its moments

Rooney and Hernandez is starting to be at the moment...

Spot the pattern... ;)

Slightly off topic - but Hernandez's last 22 shots have led to 15 goals.

Maybe he and Rooney should go on this list :p

Form is temporary - class is permanent. ;)

Has to be Dalglish and Rush for me.

Totally agree with this.

Henry and Bergkamp also probably one of my favourites as well.

Yorke - Cole
Di Stefano - Puskas
Henry - Bergkamp

These spring to mind straight away, I'd list Rooney - Hernandez, but the sheer awesome and untouchable quality of this partnership (In my absolute, completely unbiased view) would just be of disrespect to these phenomenal partnerships.

It's all about Emile Heskey and Michael Owen.

Come on now, everyone knows Torres and Drogba always screams goals and brilliant plays.

Raul - Morientes
Owen - Fowler
Henry - Bergkamp
Rush - Dalglish
Rooney - Berbatov (Kills me to say that, but when they both play together, and play well, they're fantastic to watch. Especially Berbatov)

Juninho & Ravanelli

Beck and Ricard

Hasselbaink/Yakubu and Viduka...

Boyd and McDonald :(

Ade Akinbiyi & Anyone who had the honour of playing up top with him.

Brazil never lost a match while Pelé and Garrincha were playing together. Also, Romário - Bebeto made history.

Totti - Batistuta

Marco van Basten - Dennis Bergkamp

Marco van Basten - Johann Cruyff(old)

who is the best striker currently in all major soccer leagues.

How comes no one mentioned Inzaghi - Shevchenko? They were key components of Ancelotti's Milan side.

Raul - Morientes is the best I've seen in my lifetime.

Other notable partnerships that i remember:

RVN - Solksjaer

Shevchenko - Inzaghi

Trezeguet - Del Piero

Henry - Bergkamp

Raul - Ronaldo (They had nothing on Raul - Morientes though)

Gudjonsson - Hasselbaink (seriously, they were one of the most fearsome strike duos in the premier league before Roman took over and the arrival of Mutu, Drogba, etc.)

Kluivert - Rivaldo

The ones that stand out that I can remember:

Owen-Fowler
Sherringham - OGS
Yorke - Cole
Shearer - Sherringham
Henry - Bergkamp
