I got lucky and managed to get Michael Nardiello on Free Transfer at Kings Lynn. :D

I have him at Chelmsford City. Got 3 goals in his first two games and has stopped scoring since :(

I've made him my target man to flick on the ball to for my other striker to run on to, it's worked so far.

Also, I managed to get Damon Lathrope on loan from Norwich, only player who would come on loan to my team. I also got Zlatko Yankov on a Free Transfer, suprisingly, he still gets called up to the Bulgaria Squad for me. Most of my team are free transfers.

hey all, im just trying to sign a few people, just curious, alot of the people mentioned i am getting no results searchin!!!

i am on a large database so im not sure if im missing something....anyone know?

Just signed ex Coventry youngster Reis Ashraf, a 19 year old Striker, on a free transfer, will partner Nardiello up front, with my other striker, who is top scorer if you add cup goals to league goals, going to right wing.

In order to get alot of these players you must load the players from their country. For example Hudek is Polish so you need to load the players from Poland when you decide what leagues to choose from.

The best players I have found for the BSN/BSS mostly French players from the small island called Reunion. There are some brilliant players available on free transfers such as Jim Ablancourt (DC), Didier Caro (DL), Guichard (AMR) and Farro (AML) to name just a few. Load all of the players from France and Reunion and click on the Domestic tab when looking at the Reunion national team. There are about 10 or so teams all with brilliant players for you to take your pick from as virtually all will go to you.

dammit it should be more clear, im quite new to the game so when im setting it up im thinkin....i just want to manage english teams so i only picked the english leagues....

is there any way i can amend this now? i really dont want to start again, ive spent 5 hours sorting this team out!!! but iv only played 2 matchs haha

Unfortunately not, the only way to select them is in the new game set-up screen. Its up to you but i would highly reccommend u start again as i have struggled to find players anywhere near as good as the ones i have suggested. U don't need to add countries to manage to get the players, on the game set up screen, exit the wizard and and at the bottom there should be an option to Load All Players From... and you choose the nation.(this is where you can select to Use Real Players and whether you want to turn off Attribute Masking). I hope this helps you but just to let you know how good these players are i just won the BSN, Conference Cup and FA Trophy in my first season with Harrogate Town, scoring over 100 goals and conceeding only 21 in the league, losing just two matches in the whole season (and one of those defeats was to Sheff Wed in the FA Cup!).

hmm ok thanks for that im tempted to do so!!! ive played 6hours...4 friendlys won 3 lost 1 but i think ill have a much easier/realistic season if i start again and have a wider variety of nations to pick from!!

just setting a new one up now actually....and its letting me pick ALOT of nations!!! should i put a limit on it? will it slow FM down alot? what are the downsides to picking alot of nations!

oh and sorry for all the questions (total fm noob ere!) are their any best/fav nations people usually go for?

The more nations you select, the slower your game becomes.I hate the slowness so i just select about 3/4 nations, usually France, Holland, Poland and Romania as they have a lot of players who will go to you on a free transfers. Selecting too many nations slows the processing fixtures down alot. Hope this helps.

If you load in Dutch players, you could get ex Wigan centre back Arjan de Zeeuw on a free transfer, I did, lucky me, he's captain now.

Well, you could follow my advice and get de Zeeuw, but I'll warn you that on his league debut he got injured for 6 months with a hip injury, sent him to a specialist and he'll be back in 2.

well ive just started with kings lynn in confernce north danny bloomfield hes good player scores a far few goals and hes starts off listed

For me, Owen Price, hes pretty good for my histon side.. also try pierre alexandre pluchino galuppo (no permit needed), and chris joyce..

great attacking setup. :)

i have compiled a shorlist of players for the league, some will come others wont.. but most are good/exceptional buys, maybe ill post up the shortlist sometime. good luck :)
