It never stops working - your team just becomes complacent. You gotta keep morale up and keep them motivated. Do you do all the press conferences pre and post game? Those are important for morale. Have every possible older player tutoring a younger player - that helps a lot with morale and cohesion.

Other than that - it's FM16. They make you have bad streaks no matter what team you are. It's a stupid match engine, I think we can all agree on that :P
 
Man, i take a lot of counterattacks with you tactic, what can i do?

I was thinking... so you have to lose to be less complacent?

The fact that before a match you can tell your players: don't follow the hype about you in the meda, just play your own game just sums it up.. apparently your players in fm 16 cant handle winning and getting compliments all the time..

Maybe they all read to many 50 shades of gray and want to be spanked once in a while

Haha it's so true. Sometimes in the second half of a season and we're on a long winning streak, after we win, if it's only by 1 goal, I'll start telling them "I'm very disappointed". Rather than get down, it boosts everyone's morale. It's completely unrealistic and stupid but...that's FM16 :P

I'm guessing it depends on personalities in the squad, for example if you've got a team of Raheem Sterlings...

I would suggest trying the following:

a) Buy faster and/or better defenders
b) Drop the defence line a little deeper
c) Change to exploit the middle (this has been suggested by a few to cut down counter attacks but might make the attack a little worse)
d) Maybe drop the DLP to the defensive midfield position to protect the back 4
e) If all else fails try a different tactic

I agree that those would all cut back counterattacks. Would probably change the tactic quite a bit though, so I'd say survive and loan or sign faster defenders next transfer window ;)
 
Your corner setup improved on GFK GobBluthJD, didn't get a number as great, as I did when I tested your tactic, but better than before. Still getting more cards than I would like, but at least the overall result surprised me positively. 120 matches played and it ended 86/17/17 o.o - now to test with a real save, where I simulate the matches, where i'm the one pulling all the strings (6) - just need to find a team to test with.

Just if the stats interests you, after all i'm comparing to your tactic, and using your corner setup ;)

After 3 years in Bursa just got the offer from fenerbache so just couldn't say "no"... Will bring some SS tomorrow;) from my 4th year in Turkey

This tactic will definitely get you headhunted - I just turned down an offer from Barcelona...that was a tough one :P

It certainly does, gonna do a real save with it, before messing more with it, deciedeing on a team to play with is the hard part, excludeing top teams, still leaves too much to choose from xD

I like Real Sociedad. They have good players (if they stay healthy) but for some reason they never achieve much. Same with Liverpool lately.

Thanks for your kind offer, but i prefer to run at least one test, before i'll let it loose in the world, just to make sure that it does as I want it to :)

Sociedad is a good suggestion for the reasons you mentioned, Liverpool could be a possible second test, as they seems stronger... on paper that is ;)
