Napoli 5-3 Cesena

Sakho (1), Lavezzi (6, 20, 25), Maxi Rodriguez (90+1)

Tonucci (4), Nava (13), Carlitos (84)

787e06564c2181f6

What a game! Sakho scored in the first minute with a carbon copy of his goal against Aston Villa. It looked as if Napoli would win this one easily, but Cesena shocked the hosts when they grabbed the equaliser 4 minutes into the game, shocking the Napoli defence. But Napoli were not shell shocked for long, as they attacked Cesena again, this time Lavezzi scoring with a header. It was 2-1 in the first six minutes. But 7 minutes later, Cesena equalised again, with Nava scoring a brilliant volley. 2-2. But the scoring wasn't over, Lavezzi grabbing his second with a well placed shot on 20 minutes. And five minutes later, it was 4-2, with Lavezzi grabbing his hat trick.
There were more chances but no team could add to their tally. It was Cesena who gave them selves a chance, when Carlitos scored to make it 4-3. Cesena were ruthless, almost scoring two minutes later, but at the death, Rodriguez put the game beyond Cesena, lobbing the goal keeper to make it 5-3. A Very entertaining game

Napoli had a good two goal lead, and went out to defend it. This opened up space for Villa, and Napoli struggled to deal with Young and Agbonlahor, with Villa scoring their first after Young slipped through the defence and blasted the ball into the net. Villa were 1 goal to the good.

This was it, if Napoli could win, they would have won the title, it would be their first since 1990.
Adam Hlousek gave them the lead on 13 minutes, with a well taken penalty. But Bari wanted to put the title party on hold, scoring an equaliser on 20 minutes, and then taking the lead when Coda scored on 29 minutes.Things got worse as Rekish put the hosts 3-1 on 39 minutes, the Champaign had to be put back on ice.
How ever, Cavani's header on 41 minutes gave Napoli some hope. And then returning Wolfswinkel scored his first goal in seven months for the club, volleying home a wonder strike on the stroke of half time.
The game stayed tied but it was Sosa who sent the fans into raptures, scoring the winner, making it 4-3, and Napoli were champions

Napoli 3-0 Fiorentina

Hamsik (29), Tevez (50), Griffiths (70)

Seria A- Match day 1

Tevez (29), Caruzzo (79)

European Super Cup

Manchester United 2-2 Napolia

Tevez (20), Wolfswinkel (80)

End of Month summary

Mr Drezzy wasn't happy, they had only had one pre season game. The tour of Iraq and Afghanistan was due to take place, but every one at Napoli refused to go. Then UEFA tried to arrange a friendly competition between the past UEFA Europa League winners, Napoli, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid and Dynamo Kyiv, but a deal couldn't be reached.
But it was a good month, Napoli looked good against Fiorentina and lifted the super cup. They put in a good show against Inter Milan, who in all honesty should have won the match.
Then Napoli played Manchester United in the European Super Cup, again, playing well and lifting the trophy.
The New players had blended well but Mr Drezzy still wasn't 100% happy, they needed to build their fitness up
