Liverpool Vs. Arsenal

liverpool-vs-arsenal.jpg

So with 5 games to go, Arsenal lead the race to win the Premiership title. 5 points clear, but Liverpool do have a game in hand, and with eachother left to play Arsene Wenger has admitted whoever wins the tie is likely to become Premier League champions.

Steven Gerrard is said to be the key man in the encounter with many pundits believing if he performs, Liverpool perform.

Liverpool 1-0 Arsenal

Liverpool today showed how much the retaining the Premier League title meant to them as they tought the Gunners a footballing lesson. Iconic midfielder Steven Gerrard scored as he and Torres played a neat 1-2 on 19 minutes, Liverpool celebrated as if they had won the League, as many pundits think will happen. But with their next game being Chelsea nothing can be guaranteed.

FA Cup Final: Liverpool 1-0 Arsenal

Welcome to Wembley where Liverpool look to defend their FA Cup title. Arsenal, who have just been beaten to the Premier League title by todays enemies Liverpool. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has publically said Josh Malin is one of the all time greats in English football. Liverpool looking for the quadruple once again field a full strength side with El Nino and Stevie G spearheading the Reds attack. Fabregas is the key man for Arsenal. You could see neither side wanted to lose but it took a moment of magic from Spain and Liverpool talisman Fernando Torres as he once again was the hero, scoring what was the eventual winner.

cristian zapata, great defender and will usually be looking to leave Udinese, but unless Liverpool has no debt, dont spend, £35M in loan repayments a season

cheers mate haha XD

Transfers:

sissoko-tfc.jpg

Moussa Sissoko joins as the eventual replacement of Javier Mascherano for a fee of around £16.5m

camoranesi4.jpg

Camoranesi will provide good back up for the right wing spot and will also add valuable experience to the squad, joined on a free transfer

Germany legend Bastian Schweinsteiger joined for around £6m. He and Sissoko should create a wonderful partnership in the middle of midfield.

TREZ.jpg

Trezeguet was another to sign on a free transfer once again signed for the experience he will bring - and hopefully a few goals along the way

Miroslav_Klose_Bayern.jpg

The German international still has goals in him. The free agent signed for us on a 2 year deal and is currently tutoring young striker Daniel Pacheco

The young and talented centre half joined from near rivals Everton for around £8m. He will add youth to the back 4 with Gallas Abidal and Carragher getting on in age

With David James retiring I needed a back up 'keeper and when he was available on a free I grasped the chance with both arms signing him on a 5 year deal

ruben-de-la-red-gutierrez-bio.jpg

Another free transfer but he was going to be in the central midfield starting 11 until the arrival of Sissoko

The hefty striker will add another dimension to Liverpool with his size. Joining on a free once again.

Silva-Training.jpg

Following his shock release from Arsenal I was keen to snap him up. And Wellington Silva joined us on a 5 year contract

Out:

Dirk Kuyt - £4.5m
Joe Cole - £7m
Pedro Botelho - £1.7m
Juan Arango - £2.5m
Alberto Aquilani - £10.2m

How did you manage to sign Bastian Schweinsteiger, every time I try he never wants to leave Bayern despite once offering him 160k a week. Looks like your building a good Squad there.

I dunno mate, he was worth £2.5m so I tabled an offer of £6m, I'm still paying £130k a week for him though :S

Great Story Mate
Great Results Too
Is There Anyone Else You've Signed ?

Cheers mate, update after the Man Utd game, and yeah but only a few regens ;)

Liverpool 0-0 Arsenal (Arsenal Win 5-4 On Pens) (Community Shield)

After a lot of signings in the summer I had expected to lose this game in normal time, so to take it to pens was a good result for me. Once again missing out on silverware but there you go, looking forward to the season :)

Liverpool 1-0 Sunderland

Sunderland, definately the overachievers of last year finishing an impressive 5th looked to kick off their season but against a good Liverpool team it wasn't going to be easy. Sunderland kept us quiet for 82 minutes but English player of the year Steven Gerrard popped up with the goods to seal the win.

Liverpool 0-0 Stoke

A game in which we just couldn't hit the back of the net, I thought we had it won in the 92nd minute when Trezeguet finished well but it was to be disallowed for a foul.

Liverpool 3-0 Wolves

Good performance which I was especially happy with the 3 goals. Gerrard got yet another with Adriano bagging his first for the club as he got a brace and setting up the other, also claiming man of the match.

Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd

This could be the most pleasing victory of the whole season, there's nothing like getting one up on your rivals especially at Old Trafford it's self. Schweinsteiger changed his position today and rewarded us with a goal, along with Sissoko getting his first and Gerrard adding yet another to his tally.
