at the moment, engelaar and shelvey, you'd be surprised how much shelvey influences a game!

Liverpool 4-1 Porto (UEFA Champions League 1st Knockout Round 1st Leg)

The only major trophy I haven't won with the club, but now we're one step closer. I can't see us losing after 4 away goals, plus a 3 goal margin at home. Torres was sensational and I'm full of praise for the young lad Pacheco who had 30 minutes and impressed me. Good result!

Liverpool 6-1 Birmingham

Nice to knock a few goals in, bringing our season tally up to 72 in just 24 games. Mainly all down to Gerrard, Torres and Babel who have all chipped in suffieciently. We dominated a game which I was tentative about before kick off. Birmingham are certainly no pushovers but we made them out to be fools today. Amazing result.

Liverpool 1-2 Sunderland

Very dissapointing after 2 amazing results. To be fair the team was a little depleted, with players such as Ayala, Pacheco and Arango playing against a team which were flying high in 4th place. Gerrard once again scoring out only goal and we need to improve if we are to regain the Premiership.

Just thought I'd show you all a screenshot of Gerrard, as he's been key to our success this season:

Welcome to Wembley in what should be an enthralling clash between two of the giants of English football. These two sides met last year with Liverpool coming out on top. Liverpool will be keen to add to their 1 trophy this year whilst Man City will want revenge and would love nothing less than to take the League Cup away from The Reds.

Here is how both sides line up today:

Both sides play the same formation with Man City's being a little more defensive.

The media have highlighted James Milner and Steven Gerrard the key men for their sides. Milner will look to attack Abidal in what should be an amazing battle and Gerrard will look to find space where possible and provide goals for his club.

The game is just about to get underway as Gerrard and Barry have their picture done with the League Cup trophy.

Once again Liverpool have won the League Cup defeating Manchester City in the final. In what was a tight game, Fernando Torres played with real fire in his belly netting a hat-trick within 28 minutes. Zabaleta pulled one back for City in the second half but Liverpool held on to claim their 2nd trophy of the season, adding to the European Super Cup acquired earlier on in the season.

Well Done Mate, Sick Result Against Man City. Torres Merked It!
4 Away Goals Against Porto, Was There Any Doubt On The Scoreline, Especially On The Form Your On!
Unlucky Against Sunderland!
Can We Have A Screen Shot Of The League Table Please :) Thanks.

Liverpool 1-0 Man City (FA Cup 5th Round Replay)

After winning the League Cup just a few days earlier Man City wanted revenge. Gerrard however wasn't going to let such a good oppurtunity slip and unleashed a 25 yard piledriver on 23 minutes. After the goal Man City knocked and knocked but just couldn't find a way past Reina. Liverpool meet Chelsea in the 6th round.

Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea (FA Cup 6th Round)

Just days after qualifying for the 6th round Liverpool were playing it. Without Torres or Pacheco Kuyt took the lead role but once again Gerrard was the man who took the tie back to Anfield where Liverpool will be more optimistic having Torres back.

Liverpool 2-5 Porto (UEFA Champions League 1st Knockout Round 2nd Leg) (6-6 On Aggregate, Porto Win On Away Goals)

In one of the most shocking games I have ever seen on Football Manager we managed to throw away 4 away goals and crash out of the Champions League. Porto were up for it and my side we complacent, going to have to recover from such a heavy loss.

Going great mate some terrific results. Well done on the league cup an am sure you will add a few more trophies before the season is over :D

cheers mate :D still in the fa cup and very much in premier league title race :) ;)

Liverpool 2-0 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough are a poor team, bottom of the league with just 12 points, we should have won by more but I'm not going to complain, a win's a win and getting the 3 points is all that matters at this stage.

Liverpool 4-0 Portsmouth

Torres and Gerrard were up to old tricks once again as they both bagged a brace to earn us the win. Gerrard claimed the man of the match after scoring 2 and assisting the others, Torres completed the rout on 90 minutes with a powerful 30 yard effort.

Liverpool 2-2 Man City

Okay, so this may sound silly but this result is one I'm most pleased with throughout the whole season. With virtually every first team regular away on international duty, Ayala, Spearing, Hallam, Kohlert, Kelly and Baptiste all made appearances. Ayala and Kohlert got us the point with Kohlerts being in the 91st minute on his senior debut, fair play!

Liverpool 3-0 Chelsea (FA Cup 6th Round Replay)

Liverpool 4-2 West Ham

Liverpool 5-1 Newcastle

Liverpool 0-2 Stoke

Liverpool 1-1 Man Utd

Liverpool 3-1 Tottenham (FA Cup Semi Final)

League table with 5 to go:

So with Arsenal up next, which will be done in an individual update, they're 5 points ahead of us with us having a game in hand. Will it go down to the last day? Hoping to finish the season tonight. XD
