Cod4 is the best game ever imo, but since then they have just been copies without ever changing anything and anything they have added has just made the game take less skill. Death streaks, why should you get rewarded for being killed. unlimited ammo, the list is never ending.

Not true, they changed a lot of things in CoD: WaW, which was my favourite CoD, but since then I agree. All they do now is make it the same thing every year, really boring. But the wort thing is that people just accept it and still play it over and over even though it's just the same thing and not that fun. So, then Activision think "oh people still buy it and they play it 24/7, do let's bring a new one out with slightly improved graphics, some new killstreaks (which wreck the game) and a couple of new guns, and give it a different name." Looks like this one will be the same. I may buy it, but atm I don't plan to.

Agree, but I would say there hasn't even been a graphical update since Modern Warfare 2.

It all feel solazy, but then activision has no real incentive to change it financially, and i dont think the creators care enough, or have the imagination to push it. I mean, they cant even get a decent ******* story together. The planet descending into total war should be a brilliant platform for a story,

The guns are pretty much always the same, just reskinned with new sounds.

The graphics change a little but not really enough to shout about.

Maps have slowly gotten worse over time.

Perk system went from being helpfull to just being stupidly broken.

Killstreaks are fun but tend to wreck it half the time due to certain perks making them easy to get. Atleast you can't farm them anymore though (get a heli, die, use heli, hide, get another heli)

Single player half the time is a joke, random stuff blowing up, firefight, more stuff blowing up. Random stealth/sniper mission which makes no sense, then more stuff blowing up before final showdown with someone you guessed it would be 8 hours ago.

If sales drop, and Battlefield over-takes it, that's when i'd expect change from Activision.

I won't be buying either, but that's because my PS3's broke, not out of choice. I'd buy both though, just for variation. Single player for Battlefield, and online for COD.

Sad yet true, "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Problem is they don't realise it is broke

I wont be buying it, took me two months to get bored of blacks ops and sell it.
I'll be getting BF3 for PC and PS3

Well not broke as in the conventional sense no.


They're not pushing forward and trying new things, they're just milking away at what they have and it's just ruining FPS games because they're so dominante. It's just spawning rip offs that have no imagination and want to be a part of what CoD is.


I really really hope BF3 beats CoD but sadly it wont.

Don't see how WaW is poor. Been playing it repeadetdly. Granted there's annoying campers online, but thoroughly enjoyed the WW2 storyline (being one of those history buffs et al). Much preferred it to Modern Warfare. Plus the free Zombie addons are quality aswell giving the game plenty of variety.

MP40 jug is only really used in core and I play HC, so it didn't affect me, did find it annoying when I played it though. But, I don't see how it makes the game poor.

Football manager attempts to push itself each iteration, COD used to, now it doesnt. People are allowed to be fussed at something they feel is stagnating. Battlefield has actually gone a long way in revamping itself

You just can't know that for sure. It's only 90 employees who have to make a new game in two years, they just have no time to start making new engines and to try to radically change the series and they don't need to. I don't really see the difference between CoD and FM.
