***** had a decent season at Barcelona, getting his first few outings for the senior team, however he is still to score a goal. ***** had better fortunes in the Under 18s team, scoring 16 times in 23 games, as well as getting 10 assists. ***** is currently being tutored by David Villa, who he will hope to learn a lot from. However, ***** once again showed his injury prone nature, picking up 10 weeks worth of injuries this season.

Nathan Burbidge (Nathan)
Middlesbrough (on loan from Arsenal)

Burbidge was loaned out to Championship side Middlesbrough this season, which proved to be a valuable experience. Burbidge was a regular starter and helped Middlesbrough win the Championship! Burbidge was played primarily as an attacking midfielder. Burbidge also managed to score his first goal for his country, albeit in the youth team.

The summer transfer window saw billionaires Man City buying Cubitt from Norwich for £3.2m, but Cubitt was unable to make an immediate impact at Man City, so was loaned out to Brighton, where he featured as part of a rotation system. Cubitt featured both on the right wing and in attack, showing his versatility, but performed better on the wing.

De Ferdinho managed to get a few first team appearances on top of all of his Under 18s games. Having finished being tutored by Joe Cole, De Ferdinho is now being tutored by Lucas, much more suitable for his position. However, the standout achievements for De Ferdinho this season were his first 2 caps for Scotland, making his debut against Lithuania. Sadly though, Scotland were unable to qualify for the Europen Championships.

De Souza once again featured heavily for Fenerbahce on the wings and played a key role in the team, but it was a poor season for the Turkish club, only managing to finish 5th in the league. However, De Souza had more success with Turkey, scoring his first goal, albeit for the Under 21s. De Souza looks set to stay with Fenerbahce in the near future, with no interest being shown from other clubs.

Elder started the season positively at Crewe as the clubs top goalscorer, which resulted in Liverpool noticing the young Scot. In January, Liverpool bought Elder from Crewe in a deal worth £600k. However, Elder was unable to make an impact for Liverpool, making only one appearance which was from the bench. Elder is yet to receive his first youth cap.

God got plenty of matches under his belt for Leeds in their first season in the Premier League, but was unable to make any real contribution, apart from being sent off twice! A poor season for Leeds and God saw them relegated straight back down to the Championship, finishing bottom of the league. God also earned his first 2 youth caps for England.

Hughes was sent out on loan to Genoa as he wasn’t in Everton’s plans this season, and managed to get a few appearances for the Italian side. Genoa finished mid-table, whilst his own side Everton finished 7th in the Premiership. Hughes has continued to feature heavily for the Uruguay youth team, having just played in his 20th match for them. Everton were knocked out by Barcelona in the First Knockout Round of the Champions League.

Status had a good start to the season, including 4 MOTM awards for Darlington. His displays got him noticed by several teams, 3 of which bid for Status in January. Status was injured for a total of 2 months this season, but was still able to perform when called upon. Like Elder, Status is yet to receive any type of international cap.

Todorovic got the major move that everyone was expecting in the summer, but it was to Ajax, not Bayern, in a move worth £425k. Todorovic adapted quickly, getting a few appearances in the league helping Ajax finish 3rd, as well as being a regular in Ajax’s quarter final run in the Europa League. Ajax chose to play Todorovic as a striker, but the Sweden Under 21s opted to play him in the centre like at Crewe.

Trivâo had a much better season, with Sunderland seeing the potential in the youngster, resulting in a £700k swoop. However, as Trivâo wasn’t yet ready for first team action, he was shipped out on loan to Notts County where he featured heavily. Trivâo once again fell victim to some injuries, including a sports hernia, a broken shoulder and a twisted ankle, resulting in 13 weeks missed. He did manage to score his first youth goal for Portugal though!
