Cheers man, appreciate it. I've stuck with the same tactic since the beginning. It's simple but one I revert to on many saves.
4-4-1-1. The two full-backs on support. Two central defenders on defend. Two wingers on attack. One ball winning midfielder on defend and one box to box on support. An attacking playmaker/advanced midfielder on attack and a target man on support.
I like to keep my team instructions simple so that the actual attributes of the players shine through (at least that's what I tell myself happens). Short passing, retain possession and high tempo.
It's a tactic that I think is well balanced and nothing more. FM 2014 for me is very unstable and the slightest tweak can spell disaster. For this reason, I keep it simple.
Hope this helps! Cheers again for the reply!
