Carlo Ancelotti 4-4-2 by Passion4FM

We enjoyed even greater success in season 2 of the tactic, despite (IMO) a weakened squad. Having been forced to sell Ayew due to his ******** and moaning about wanting to join up with Dortmund, and Doria to Real Madrid, I had to bring in Gustavo Henrique and Yannick D'Jeng. Also used some of the money from the sales to bring in Enner Valencia as an immediate upgrade to Lozano (I still like him, but his age and his stamina make him more of a rotation guy at this point).

We proceeded to win the Ligue 1 title by a comfortable 6 point margin over PSG. We also managed to advance past the group stage of the Champions' League where we unfortunately came up against a vastly superior Bayern side, who I actually thought we performed admirably against. We were unable to bag a goal in either leg, but we did hold them to two 1-0 losses. Speaks volumes to the defensive strength of the tactic.

Despite winning the league we've been given absolute **** for a transfer budget going into season 3 and N'koulou has forced me into selling him as well, so it should be interesting to see how we get on from here.

sometimes it's fun to manage a club like this, where you're often forced to sell your players to the very best clubs, while finding good enough replacements to be able to compete congrats on winning the league, not easy in France.

btw that thumping of PSG is extreme :D

Yes, it's fun, but at the same time frustrating cause I have to be super careful about who I get attached to. Thauvin has a 28m valuation right now and he's wanted, so if he starts making noise about wanting to leave I don't know what I'll do. I do have solid homegrown talent coming back as well. Lemina and Clemente have both developed well enough to stick with the squad rather than go out on loan.

I've already sold Nkoulou now for 16m, and I sold high on Giovinco as well at 10m, clearing the way for Clemente. I hate selling both guys, but Nkoulou wanted out and Giovinco's valuation at age 29 was as high as it ever will be coming off a monster season, so the time was right.

Anyway, yeah, the PSG win was a fun one. It makes it a little bit less impressive that it was more a byproduct of them having had two men sent off, but 7-0 is 7-0.

edit: Case in point with Thauvin. Man City enquired. I threw out a ridiculous # (50m) and they accepted so off he goes as well. Sigh.

holy **** those are some sick results! 5-1 vs Barcelona and over a 100 pts in the PL ? great job!

Yeah!!!! that was an insane game. Into season 4 now. Not signing anybody despite given 140mil. Going to push my youngsters into 1st team.

Success continues through season three at Marseille. First unbeaten season I've ever had in any iteration of FM. In addition, we won the Coupe de la Ligue and made it to the quarterfinals of the Champions' League where we succumbed to a humiliating thrashing 5-0 at Stamford Bridge to lose 6-2 on aggregate. A bit of a hint of good fortune for Chelsea as Popastopholous was ineligible to play and Juan Jesus was serving a suspension, so I had to send out a center back pairing of Paletta and Raggi. Not particularly inspiring.

Ryan Gauld beasting it i see :P great results, and unfortunate about Chelsea. but at least it's a progress

Just popping in again here. Gave it a go with a weak side in the BPL to see how the tactic fares with a bit of an underdog. Went with QPR. Went the whole season with the bog standard squad except for the additions of Antunes, Ciaran Clark, and Leigh Griffiths in January. Managed to secure a Europa League spot. As one would expect out of a QPR squad, the team was pretty inconsistent and the defense poor, but a 6th place finish is quite impressive. So, once again, well done sir.

Too lazy to do screens tonight, but the top goal scorer was Charlie Austin with 18 with Vargas at 15 (and 9 assists). Niko Krancjar was the best rated player on the season, turning in a 7.62 avg rating in 32 apps, 5 goals and 6 assists. Matt Phillips was behind him with a 7.39, 4 goals and 6 assists.

Notable results: 4-1 win @ Arsenal, 2-1 win vs. Chelsea, 4-0 win vs. Arsenal.

Wound up with an 11-6-2 record at Loftus Road scoring 33 and conceding only 14. Away from Loftus 9 wins, 10 losses, 0 draws. 35 for 41 against.

considering how tough away games are this year, especially at big sides, it's still a great result. now you can use more of that transfer money to build a better team

Indeed. Spent big on 3 in the summer window: £30m for Oxlade-Chamberlain, £13.5m for Harry Kane, and £4.8m for Efe Ambrose. Also brought in Micah Richards on a free and kept Vargas around on a free as well. Extended Kranjcar's loan for another year as well. Heading into the season with this squad:

GK: McCarthy
LB: Antunes
CB: Caulker
CB: Ambrose
RB: Richards
ML: Kranjcar
DLP: Sandro
RPM: Fer
AMR: Oxlade-Chamberlain
DLF: Kane
CF: Austin

Subs: Green, Onuoha, Traore, Phillips, Hoilett, Vargas, Mutch

How do I import this into the save - I have been trying to import the file but it isn't showing in my folder where i saved them to, if anyone can help with this issue I will be very grateful.

i'm not sure, but maybe it's like with tactics ? importing them in game? did you save it to 'filter' folder? if you didn't have one before try making your own filter for anything and then the folder should automatically appear so then you can paste those filters here into that one because you'll know it's the correct.
