no, he said he wants to leave, who said the club will let him go, its not like they havent got the money to make him sit in the reserves and buy a replacement, not that im fussed either way

Yes, but no one wants a disruptive influence around their club do they, I think they will have to let him go at some point to avoid clashes in the dressing room and the executives he mentioned with whom his relationship has broken down will also not be eager for him to remain at the club, i think that since he has made up his mind on retirement, City should let him go and ask him to pay some compensation I guess

wonder what sheikh monsour will do now, should he sack the "certain executives and inderviduals" to keep tevez happy or let tevez go. Signing Tevez was the moment they showed they meant business and with him wanting to leave then they are going back to square one

A lot of decisions to be made on both sides, something has to give though

Like I said, money has nothing to do with it clearly. January is just around the corner too, so will be interesting to see how much (if at all) he takes part up until then and then we can see what will happen from there on.

Mancini out to keep Tevez happy ?

If Tevez does go i think they will sign Torres as a replacement.

tbh it may be better form him to leave, his heart is not in England and if he leaves, I think Man City will start to realise that they cant depend on Tevez for goals anymore and play more like a team

He can't do that-if you do that it'll be a case of inmates running the asylum. Once you give tha signal any credibilty they have as a club is gone. If he's going to do that it needs to be for performance reasons. sitting equal 1st and doing well in Europe reinforces that the staff aren't incompetent and know what they're doing.

Tevez said he had no problem with Mancini.

I wonder who these individuals he has a problem with are...

i still think its mancini and probably a few off the players. I think the way he reacts to getting subbed shows he has a problem with mancini and he was never going to come out and say he hates his own manager when he's the captain

The way he left when he got subbed in the last game means he has a few problems with Mancini, in my point of view

If they don't let him leave he will just retire.

Even if thy can do that what kind of message does that send to transfer targets and free agents? Tevez is pretty much a legend AFAIK for City. Rotation/Squad players might think twice.

Wow is it me or has Carlos's English rapidly improved... ^^^

I love the lads honesty in all fairness, he should be respected for that.

As Im not really bothered what happens with him, except i don't want another class act leaving the premiership

all the best Carlos ;)

Hopefully this means he won't be playing against Newcastle on boxing day... It's an awkward situation, maybe if they replaced his current contract with one on vastly reduced wages (or none) expiring in the summer it would suit both parties? City lose out on less money and still have the player for their star player rest of the season, Tevez gets away without buying out contract.

McNulty raises some decent points, as do the comments below the article.

We are all forgetting that Tevez and Joorabchin are essentially money grabbers, as demonstrated by the way they went about engineering the move away from Old Trafford, coupled with (and i use Mascherano as another example) Joorabchins clients almost clockwork desire to sign a new and improved lucrative deal every 2 years or demand a move away for whatever (probably made up) reason.

i'd forgotten about that with tevez he always leaves a club pretty much after 2 years

all of this bullshit spoils the game...

it's supposed to be fun, a spectator sport, where everybody enjoys the spectacle...

it's not supposed to be about who can make the most money in the shortest space of time (and I include owners as well as agents and players in that)..

We have an allegedly corrupt world body in FIFA, corruption within the game at all levels - prove me wrong - and money-grabbing prima-donna's who aren't worthy to shine the boots of players like Sir Stanley Matthews, Sir Bobby Charlton, Jack Charlton, Frank Worthington, Bobby Moore and their contemparies...

It's time that football as a whole took the game by the scruff of the neck and returned it to the fans instead of letting these overpaid, jumped-up b*****ds spoil the ******* game for ever!

If he wishes to leave for his family, he cannot be abused at all, yet respected.

Most major sports are tuled or influenced by money, Football has just followed the trend.
