Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Monaco and Sevilla... no easy games at the top!
Good, it's where we intend to stay.

Quite dispondant about this draw. We'd not conceded a league goal yet and
to ship two to an average Levante side was disappointing.

This game might as well have been advertised as the Messi show. Scoring two and creating two, he
had a hand in all the action tonight.

0-2 up within 5 minute, the game was over long before half time. The Boys were a class apart!

I decided to trust Gumbau ahead of Rakitic in midfield and he repaid my faith by scoring a goal!
I think we could have a future star on our hands here. His movement off the ball is impressive,
he links up with Suarez well and finds himself coming into the box late and getting chances!

Great work in the first half of the season, looks like another league title is on the way, and hopefully a CL too!

View attachment 189156View attachment 189155 With the Transfer ban being lifted, Alan Turan has become available to 1st team action which means
that I have 6 players to fit into 3 forward positions. I play with a varied front three

Bottom of the pecking order is Munir so I offered him out to get some first team football to continue his development. To be honest, I haven't been impressed with his performances in the games he's played.
He might not be at the club next year.

Sergi Roberto is a player I have a lot of hopes for. He's played pretty well in his games but the emergence of
Gerrard Gumbau has relegated Reberto to a rotation role. Gumbau has even made me consider who should get
dropped in favor of his place in the team; between Mascherano and Busquests.

Still, knowing the ability the kid has, I wanted his to be playing at the top level so a move to Bundesliga is
a fantastic opportunity for him to develop and be a valuable first team member.

With Macherano and Busquets both being Key members of the first team, Sergi Samper is finding his
first team opportunists restricted and he's too good for the 'B' team so I shipped him out to Liga BBVA side
SD Eibar. Samper has played well but when compared to the mammoth skill Mascharano and Busquets
display on a daily basis in training, he's never being picked ahead of them. T His loan is the best for both parties.

A great first half of the season at Barcelona which is to be expected but lets hope the second will bring much of the same! hopefully you don't get too many injuries like the Suarez one otherwise you may have regretted sending out Munir ;)

He just wasn't getting games. I have Mascherano being picked ahead him as a backup CB. Better of
sold than sitting on our bench.

Excellent Midfielder, top class and no complaints about him. He's come up big in a lot of our games
but he's a foreign influx. We're looking to return Barcelona back to it's local roots and this was always
going to be a tough decision. We got a good fee for him and we wish him all the best in England.

We also look forward to facing Rakitic and his new club in the First knockout round
of the UEFA Champions League.

Cheers mate. Aye, top 2 is the minimum expectation with Barcelona so to have opened a comfortable gap at the top so early int he campaign is nice. Our loss to Madrid still stings though. I'm aiming for the classic Treble as you'd expect and we're looking good for part 1: the league.

1-0 down without an away goal is a tough situation to be in for any club. We needed to
put in a professional display to ensure our path to the final.

Huge win. We needed a 2 goal margin wen Alcácer had the scores at 1-2 on aggregated; with an away goal.
I had my head in my hands when Neymar's penalty was saved but Javi Martinez's first goal for the club
gave us the lead in for the first time in the tie. And like the legend that is Lionel Messi, his 68 minutes
goal sent us to the final!!

So yeah... I've a bit of an injury crisis right now. Messi is only out short term but
we lost him mid way through the Champions League tie away at Manchester United.

******* called it! :p

Was a bit shocked with the Javi Martinez deal though, surely there were better localish options or people to bring up through the youth
