There's nothing worse than a couple of injuries at once :/ You create quite a lot of CCCs. TOP 4 is easily within reach.

Wow ! You're doing great,but Barca's UNREAL !
I'd like to see a Liga BBVA players stats :)

Barbosa is doing so good! I expected no less

Yeah I know, so scared he will pick up and injury though!

Yeah we do, when the other team gets one though they usually score.

What a great season,Barbosa is smashing the ground :)
Keep it up !

Yeah he is haha, which league player stats do you want to see? The summary or something in particular?

Great results - shame about Real Madrid.

Good to see Barbosa knocking them in.

Yeah, we are over-reliant on him atm though. We weren't cautious enough at Madrid.

Who is the guy with 5 goals from Real, Lucas Pratto? Can u give a shot?

Hes a real poacher, from Velez,i saw plenty of saves with him,hes doing great, even in the Follia thread,Satorox recommended it...

Mineiro on here ;)

I didn't think he would be a good signing to be honest, didn't think he would get much game time. He has played in every game so far though I think.

Suarez is crazy :O

Yeah he's been unreal, outperforming Messi! Look at how many goals he is scoring :o

01/10/15 - Zenit v Celta

View attachment 286039

View attachment 286030

A tough game in Russia against the favourites in our group Zenit. We started a weakened team, as I am prioritising the league over the Europa League. We took the lead, but they fought back and deserved to win. We pick up 1 point from our first 2 games in Europe.

04/10/15 - Elche v Celta

View attachment 286038

View attachment 286028

Elche have struggled so far this season, but this was always going to be a tough game. We did briliantly to pick up the win away from home. I feel this is the type of game we would not have won last year. Orellana was brilliant picking up a goal and an assist.

16/10/15 - Celta v Getafe

View attachment 286037

View attachment 286026

A great home performance again in the league, we cannot be stopped at home it seems! Jese could've had a hat-trick but missed a penalty. Everyone was top class in this game.

22/10/15 - Malmo FF v Celta

View attachment 286023

View attachment 286022

We really needed to win this game to have a chance of qualifying. I started a weakened line-up, Barbosa, Jese and Rafinhawere all dropped. We still got the job done in Sweden, meaning we lie 2nd in the group.

25/10/15 - Deportivo v Celta

View attachment 286036

View attachment 286025

Huge derby game against our great rivals. A dissapointing result in the end, we did everything but put the ball in the net. Jese had a few chances and Barbosa hit the post. Guess you can't win them all.

29/10/15 - Celta v Malaga

View attachment 286034

View attachment 286027

A great win at home to Malaga. I have been trying to get the team to focus on defending more, and we didn't even allow them 1 shot on target. A great performance again at home!

Liga BBVA

View attachment 286019

If we win our game in hand we go only 1 point behind both Barca and Real! I can't believe we are going to compete for the title, but its really nice to see that at least for the first few months of the season we are challenging the big boys. Atletico and Athletic have been really poor to start the season. Where Real Sociedad look a lot more competitive, despite selling Carlos Vela.

Europa League / Group C

View attachment 286002

I dont think we will catch Zenit from here, but I'm not too dissappointed with how the group looks half way through. Trabzonspor dropped points at home to Malmo, which helped us a lot. If we can beat Trabzonspor away then I'm sure we will qualify. I haven't really fielded our best squad in the Europa League yet, but I may do for that game. Due to a lack of depth, when we rest our best players we are fielding a much weaker team than usual.

Fixtures

View attachment 285986

We had a nice run of easier games last month, I think this month will be harder though. Teneriffe and Real Betis are both newly promoted, but I think they will be up for it at home. Real Sociedad is a big game, and although Athletic have been struggling I think that we will be in for a tough game in Bilbao. I am hoping to win both Europa League games as that will mean we have qualified for the next round.

Managers Notes

I cannot believe how well we have done to start the season, as we pick up 10 points from a possible 12 in the league in October. We are right at the top of the table, with big clubs like Atletico really struggling at the start of the year. We need to keep winning games so that we can pull further away from the big teams, as I am sure sooner or later they will pick up form and chase us down. 4th spot could be in reach! One other point we have almost picked up half the points we did all last season!

The board are so generous haha

Nicely done mate !
I hope you continue your current form, you're doing great till now...
Pretty boards :P

Results

01/11/15 - Teneriffe v Celta

View attachment 285793

A solid performance away at Teneriffe. We destroyed them in the first half and the game was over at half time. Barcelona youngster Dongou grabbed one back, but it was nothing more than a consolation. A great away performance.

05/11/15 - Celta v Malmo FF

View attachment 285792

Only won by 1 goal, but we did field a team of reserves again in Europe, with an important game in Seville against Betis just a few days from now. Jese played up top and he grabbed the first and only goal. They never really threatened our goal. This result meant that we needed only a draw in Turkey against Trabzonspor to guarantee qualification with one game remaining.

08/11/15 - Real Betis v Celta

View attachment 285791

A tough game against the in form Real Betis. We went 1-0 up however they were the better team for most of the game, and when they went 3-1 up it seemed the game was over. 17 year old Kevin Tello came on to score his first ever goal for Celta, however it wasn't enough as we lost 3-2. Not a bad performance from us, but Betis played very well. Maksimovic got himself sent off which was disappointing, and would keep him out the next game against Sociedad. Nono MOTM for Betis.

22/11/15 - Celta v Real Sociedad

View attachment 285790

Sociedad have improved so far this season, and are looking like they will challenge for a place in Europe. I thought this would be a tough home game, but we completely blew them away! Rafinha scored a worldie in his way to bagging a brace, along with centre back David Costas who was brilliant for us. Barbosa couldn't get on the scoresheet perhaps a slight disappointment, along with Nemandja Radoja picking up an injury..

26/11/15 - Trabzonspor v Celta

View attachment 285789

We knew that we only needed a draw in Turkey to qualify, with the possibility of topping the group now pretty much out of reach. I did field the reserves again though. We went 2-1 up just before half time and seemed to be cruising to qualification, but Cabral who hasn't had a look in got himself sent off. We set up defensively, they pulled one back, but we hung on to qualify for the knockout-rounds in 2nd place.

29/11/15 - Athletic v Celta

View attachment 285788

Although Athletic are struggling, I identified this as our hardest game of the month, But we turned in a top-class performance! Barbosa won and scored a penalty in the first half. They pushed for an equaliser, however we were brilliant defensively, and they hardly had a chance. A huge win for us, it is already looking unlikely that Athletic will challenge us for a place in Europe this season.

Liga BBVA

View attachment 285797

We are still 3rd, now 4 points off of 1st Barcelona. More importantly though, we are now 9 points above 5th place, meaning we have built up a nice buffer into the Champions League places. Although I can't really see Sociedad, Getafe, Rayo or Betis challenging for a top 4 spot. Our rivals are Sevilla (9th), Atletico (12th) and Athletic Bilbao (13th). They have all struggled so far this season, Atletico lost Simeone in the off-season and their new manager Miguel Angel Portugal has already been sackef. We have built a gap of 13 points to Sevilla, 17 to Atletico and 19 points to Bilbao. Surely another good month, and none of these teams will be able to catch us for a place in the Champions League?..

Fixtures

View attachment 285796

A fairly quiet month coming up in December. We finish our Europa League group at home to Zenit, however that game is pointless as we have finished 2nd and they have finished 1st no matter what. We kick-off our Copa Del Rey campaign against lower league Huesca. We only have two league games, both at home, so I am aiming to win both.

Injury News

Bruno Zuculini - Sprained Ankle

View attachment 285774

Bruno Zuculini picked up an injury right at the beginning of the month, which kept him out for the entire month. He has been key for us, so this is a blow.

Nemandja Radoja

View attachment 285772

Nemandja wasn't a key player for us last year, but this season he is starting as our anchor man this season and has turned into a key man for us. He will now not be back until mid-March, a huge blow for the team, especially as he doesn't have a direct replacement. He has also been progressing well, which will now be halted by the injury.

Transfer News

Again like last year, quite a few clubs are interested in our players, and it is unsettling them:

-Nicola Maksimovic who was only bought last January, is wanted by Benfica, Lyon and Ajax.

-Fabian Orellana is wanted be Atletico and Porto.

-Jonny is wanted by Liverpool and Arsenal.

-Hugo Mallo is wanted by Valencia and Dynamo Kiev.

We have done well to hold on to these players so far, hopefully we can keep hold of them in January. However if any of these clubs put in a ridiculous offer, I am sure I will consider it.

Roberto Mancini takes over as Atletico Boss

View attachment 285709

Will Roberto Mancini be the man to turn things around at Atletico? After Diego Simeone left for Bayern, Atletico have been struggling and are currently in 12th position in La Liga.

5/12/15 - Huesca v Celta

View attachment 285705

We battered Huesca away from home, the tie should be settled even though we still have to play them at Balaidos. Orellana was brilliant, he assisted 3 goals.

10/12/15 - Celta v Zenit

View attachment 285706

Not much to talk about here. I fielded a youth side, who drew against Zenit who also fielded a weakened side. We drew the game 1-1.

We will face OM in the Round of 42 in the Europa League. OM finished 3rd in Ligue 1 last season, however are having an awful year and are currently 16th. I will now be fielding a strong side in this competition, as I feel we are good enough to compete.

13/12/15 - Celta v Rayo

View attachment 285707

Absolute scenes!! Rayo have been outperforming expectations this season and find themselves sitting in the top half of the table. However I did think that at home we would have another fairly comfortable game. How wrong was I! Nikola Maksmimovic who has been poor recently, was sent off after only 22 minutes. Rayo had most of the play, and finally broke the deadlock mid-way through the second half after Ruben Blanco made some excellent saves. We went attacking, and just as I thought the game was over and we were going to lose, Gabriel Barbosa was fouled in the box. He stepped up himself and slotted away the penalty! 1-1, I set up defensively, while they went attacking for the last few minutes. We got a corner in the 94th minute, Rayo half cleared the ball, but Barbosa somehow found himself free in the box. Jese found him, and Barbosa fired into the roof of the net! 2-1, the last kick of the game.

16/12/15 - Celta v Huesca

View attachment 285688

After the thrilling clash with Rayo, we faced Huesca in the 2nd leg of the cup. We did the job away in the first leg, so we fielded another team of youngsters, trying to give them as much first team experience as possible. Kevin Tello got on the scoresheet again, we win 4-1 on aggregate.

We will face great rivals Deportivo in the next round of the cup. They are yet to win a game this season in the league, and we were only able to draw 0-0 against them earlier in the season. This is a chance to put that right!

View attachment 285702

19/12/15 - Celta v Villarreal

View attachment 285689

Villarreal are usually a threat in La Liga, however are struggling this season in the bottom half of the table. We were all over them the whole game, they had 1 shot whereas we had 20. We had a few real chances but we couldnt take them. 2 points dropped rather than 1 point won. This is actually the first home game in the league we haven't won this season!

Liga BBVA

View attachment 285674

The league table looks prettier for Celta fans after every update! We are still in 3rd tied on points with Barca in 2nd, however they have a few games in hand. Sociedad have moved into 4th and above Valencia who had a tough month. Atletico and Athletic Bilbao still struggling. The Champions League looks more and more achievable as time goes on!

A really tough month of January coming up for us. We will face Barcelona, Atletico and Sevilla away from home, as well as playing our Copa Del Rey tie against Deportivo, which is a must-win.

Managers Notes

Kevin Tello has been making superb progress, he has scored 2 senior goals as well. He looks like he could be a real star for us!

View attachment 285669

I have been given little money to spend in January, however I have a few youngsters I am on the lookout for. I really want to build a great youth system at Celta, with top players coming through every year. There maybe some transfer movement among the first team due to interest from big clubs, but I don't want to sell/

I like the new layout. Tough month ahead of you. I'd like to see you crush Atletico and Sevilla!

Good results,congrats for Europa League 16 :))
But,the injuries,really bad news...
This lad looks ptomising, but u still have Rafi and Jese...
