Premier League -
10th Placed Finish
Europa League - Final (Lost to Bayern 1-0)
FA Cup - Semi Final (Lost to Man Utd 3-2)
Carabao Cup - Quarter Finals (Lost to Everton 3-1)

A very poor season for Arsenal fans had them seeing the back of Jimmy Clark after just two years in charge. Simone Inzaghi has been brought in to replace him. After a series of shocking transfer decisions from the manager and some poor results, the Arsenal board finally bit the bullet and got rid of the boss.

Robbie Lyle was quoted as saying, "It was an embarrassing season for the players, backroom staff, board and all of the fans and we can only apologise. We'd hoped that Europa League or FA Cup glory could help ease to blow of the Premier Leaguee but we weren't quite able to get over the line. We hope Simone Inzaghi is able to get the job done next year and give the fans what they deserve, a trophy."

SPECIAL MENTION TO CAPTAIN/KEY MAN - NATHAN AKE

An ever present appearing in 56 games last year for club and country. He has been a rock in our side and managed to get into the Euro Cup SQuad of the Season and won Euro Cup Player of the Season. A brilliant year for him, a shining light in an otherwise awful season.

November Update-

Prem League.png

01_-_PL_Table.jpg

Liverpool take a commanding lead at the top and look in incredible form once again as they have won 5 on the trot. The usual suspects make up the top 4 but we have not been accustomed to Manchester City being only in 4th place so far behind the title chase, especially after big money signing Kylian Mbappe! Arsenal have fared a better start then last season, As has Tottenham, Burnley are the surprise package so far with Everton making a bid for Europe 2 seasons on the trot. Rest of the table is relatively where you would expect clubs to be, maybe the surprise that Watford seem to be edging towards a relegation Dogfight.

01_-_Premier_League_Stats.jpg

Greenwood.jpg

Greenwood has struck 11 times in the league so far this season making him the surprise top scorer so far this season, Haaland is second which shows Manchester Uniteds strength up front and the different options they have at their disposal.

Ronaldo.jpg

Aging but not finished- Ronaldo has been one of the players of the season so far for Everton!

November Update-

Championship.jpg

02_-_Championship_Table.jpg

Championship is very tight with the Top 4 dominated by chairman clubs, This will be a very fascinating race this season and one to watch! Not so good news for Crystal Paace who's fall towards the 3rd tier just keeps getting closer and closer

English Domestic Cup Updates -

Caraboa cup.png

03_-_Carabao_Cup_QF.jpg

We have 7 chairman clubs that have made the Quarter Finals, Cup specialist Arsenal have arguably the easiest tie but the favorites would have to be Manchester United to get through and win this cup!

FA cup.jpg

03_-_FA_Cup (1).jpg

Too Early to call this one, The big talking point will be Manchester City being Knocked out at home to Norwich to continue their unimpressive start to the season. Brighton come out on top in a close all chairman tie with an old classic Mourinho 1-0 While Villa beat Newcastle in the other all chairman tie.

4 chairman teams make it through to the ast 16 of the champions league, Manchester united with arguably the easiest draw, the rest of our chairman teams have test ties ahead.

Everton make it through and have a big test against Shalke, A shock as Tottenham do not feature in the last 32 of the Europa League draw.

Jan Update -

Prem League.png

01_-_PL_Table jan.jpg

Manchester United take the lead and look like they could really upset the apple cart and stop the Man city and Liverpool dominance! Chelsea are in with a shout too with Manchester City still languishing in 4th spot for their standards! Tottenham Fairing a better season but still sit outside the top 4 while Evertons Europe dream looks real again. Norwich and Brighton seem to have consolidated their spots in the top 10 in recent seasons, while Arsenal still seem to not be able to find the formula they need. Current bottom 3 are in real trouble, as well as wolves and Bournemouth being dropped into the relegation dogfight.

Haaland.jpg

Erling Haaland seems to continue to be the stand out performer, what a buy he seems to be at 66milion (Everton will be angry!)

01_-_Championship_Table Jan.jpg

Newcastle continue their charge to the championship with 17 year old Cabrera leading the charge for them! Villa and Blackburn are hot on their tail, it looks very likely we will have 2 chairman teams back to the prem soon! Palace continue their demise, surely only a small amount of time before they are sold..!

April Update -

Prem League.png

01_-_PL_Table.jpg

Well well well.. We have a 4 way race for the league title, United are in front at the moment but Liverpool have a game in hand, 4 points seperates it at the top with the final leg of games in sight, extremely exciting. Tottenham lead the best of the rest race, with 6 teams fighting it out for European places, unbelievable stuff! As we scan to the bottom of the table there is a shock! Leicester find themselves rooted into a relegation dogfight, remembering it was not long ago since they Won the league! 6 points seperates 18th and 12th, there is tight battles going on all over the eague this season, very few teams seasons are 'dead! Arsenal have had a mini revival, But do we now deem them as a top 8 team instead of a top 4 team? Everton are fighting for Europe too.

293 million aquisition for Manchester city has paid off as Mbappe leads the Prem scoring charts!

Caraboa cup.png

03_-_Carabao_Cup_QF.jpg

Quarter Finals saw some good games, Arsenal crusing past Charlton, Sheff united shocking Chelsea away! Watford also producing a shock at home to United while Brighton Crush West Ham to progress to the semi finals.

03_-_Carabao_Cup_SF.jpg

Semi finals saw Watford produce a penalty taking win over Sheffield united, a close game at the Tottenham stadium. In the other game at wembley Brighton upset the Arsenal apple cart again to shock them 2-3!

03_-_Carabao_Cup_Final.jpg

The final looks like a typical Jose Mourinho team performance, a boring 1-0 win, ugly but effective means Brighton win the Carabao cup! Pretty good work for a team with 0 budget.

02_-_Championship_Table.jpg

This little clip is all that is needed for the championship update, Villa, Blackburn and Newcastle are all fighting it out for automatic, While the surprise package now is Crystal Palace who have flown up the table and are now in contention for a play off spot to return to the Premier League!!

An all chairmen Semi final, but in truth Liverpool should cruise this one now..... (Hopes for commentators curse)

Champions league.jpg

05_-_Champions_League_QF.jpg

Champions League sees 3 chairman teams involved, all 3 with very tough games to make it through, and all away in the first leg!

Europa League.jpg

06_-_Europa_League_QF.jpg

Europa League sees Tottenham face Lazio, They will be hoping to go far in this competition this season

Might retire from Arsenal if we fail to get into Europe AGAIN. Its becoming so frustrating having my best players sold, the only reason we haven't this window is because we haven't got anyone decent to sell LOL. Hoping we can turn it around. Norwich doing well, well established mid-table side now.

Frustrating to get knocked out to Brighon in the Carabao Cup.

END OF SEASON UPDATE

PL Logo.png

01 - PL Table.JPG

Well the season is over and once again, Man City have been crown Premier League Champions winning 9 of their last 10 games to win by 5 points from Chelsea. Not sure what happened with Man Utd as they collapse and only pick up 7 points from their final 9 games after leading going into the final quarter of the season.

Tottenham finish 5th and Everton 6th but not sure if that is enough to get those teams into Europe with Brighton winning the Carabao cup and earning a spot in europe. Burnley and Norwich both finish above Arsenal with Brighton finishing 10th (sure there is a divide between the top and bottom 10 teams.).

Now to the relegation battle and it went down to the last game. And to everyone's surprise, former premier league champions Leicester City join Bristol City and Cardiff, who were losing ground on the rest of the league already, in the championship next season. It went down to the final game between Leicester and Southampton with both teams winning their final games and confirming Leicester's relegation.

01 - PL Player Stats.JPG

Mbappe makes his presence felt in his first year scoring nearly 30 goals this season. Man Utd have definitely found that having 2 quality strikers definitely get you goals but still is not enough at present to win the title. It looks as though Fabio Silva may have saved Southampton this season with 17 goals and 5th top scorer in the league.

02 - Championship Table.JPG

Well all chairman clubs made at least the playoffs this year. The title went down to the wire once again in this one and it was Newcastle who come out on top as Aston Villa falter in the final 2 games and throw away a 3 point lead to lose the league by 1 point. 3 other chairman clubs (Huddersfield still need to find a chairman) made the playoffs but it was the non-chairman club who make it through to the premier league as they defeat Crystal Palace in the final. It shows that having the form towards the end of the season does help when going into the playoffs.

02 - Playoff Final.JPG

02 - Championship Player Stats.JPG

The top 3 goalscorers were all on loan from premier league clubs but although Delap was unable to help his team make the promotion race (he is some player in the championship!). Esposito was the best player in the league this year with the most goals, higher average rating and most player of the matches. Will Liverpool decide to stick with him this year and give him Premiership experience?

NEXT....FA CUP AND EUROPEAN CUPS
