ENGLISH PREMIER DIVISION

Stoke have made an unbeaten start to the campaign in defence of their title and top the table! Impressive starts for Norwich and Swansea see them in the top 10 after the opening 8 games as well, whilst Leeds find themselves in the bottom 3 early on!

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP

Blackburn have started strongly and the lead the way early on, with QPR occupying a playoff spot at these early stages. Millwall are in the top 10, whilst Luton just about sit in the top half. A poor start for Portsmouth sees them 2nd bottom!

CARABAO CUP

There are some all chairman ties in the 4th round including Villa vs Leeds, Middlesbrough vs Norwich and Stoke vs Brentford!

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Stoke have won both their opening games in a pretty tough group, including a 4-0 thrashing of Juventus!

Middlesbrough also have a tough draw, but have managed to chalk up a win already against Real San Sebastian. They will do well to get past Monaco and Milan though!

EUROPA LEAGUE

Aston Villa are in Europe this year after winning the Carabao Cup last season and have made a perfect start to their group stage with wins over Dortmund and HJK.

MANAGER MOVEMENTS

Sunderland - Xabi Alonso sacked - Replaced with Massimiliano Allegri
Leeds - Pep Guardiola sacked - Replaced with Luis Enrique

Chairmen with sacked manager, please let me know what you'd like me to do...

1) I can either reinstate your manager again for free (even if this manager has gone to another club, you will have 1st choice to keep him, even if he has gone to another chairman club)
2) You can replace them with someone else (you'll only have to pay compensation to your new manager's club if they have one, unless it's a chairman club in which case you can have them back for free).
3) Keep the manager who has taken over your club on the game for which there will be no fee as the game will have already worked out and taken any compensation from your balance (unless it's another chairman's manager and they want them back, in which case you'll have to revert to option 1 or 2 above).

If your manager was not sacked and left the club, then you cannot re-appoint him for free! You can either stick with the manager who has taken over, or you can appoint a new one of your own but if they have a club then you'll have to pay compensation!

ENGLISH PREMIER DIVISION

Stoke have now opened up a 5 point gap at the top of the table as they bid to retain their title. Middlesbrough, Norwich and Aston Villa are all in the top 10, but falling away from the top 6 at this point. Sunderland, Brentford and Leeds are all heavily involved in the relegation battle!

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP

Blackburn and QPR are the top 2 at half way as they both look to book their places back in the Premier League! Millwall are chasing down a playoff spot, whilst Luton have an outsiders chance of making the top 6! Portsmouth continue to struggle, although a good run will lift them out of the bottom 3 to safety!

FA CUP

The third round has been played early this year and the 4th round draw has not yet taken place.

CARABAO CUP

Leeds are the only chairman club that remain at the semi final stage!

Both Middlesbrough and Stoke have made the knockout stages of the competition. Boro have a mountain to climb as they take on Real Madrid in their tie, whilst Stoke will play Leipzig.

Aston Villa got through their group in the Europa League and will now take on Dynamo Kyiv in the 1st knockout round!
