Good stuff this, changed the CF to a F9 seems to be scoring more goals and getting a better rating.
 
So far so good just finished all friendlies won them easily playing some good footy in the process. Strikers and IF scoring for fun and winger is assist machine. Hope works well now in the league :)
 
Chapman i love this tactic will you be making more like 4-2-3-1 ?

I just found Robin Van Persie was more consistent in the Complete Forward role. I had planned to play Rooney in the Complete Forward role and Van Persie in the Poacher role but Rooney was under-performing in any roles so I opted to using Hernandez in the Poacher role and Van Persie in the Complete Forward role. Hernandez thrived in his playing time and won the golden boot in the league.

It should work a treat after a while you'll be free scoring in the competitive matches once they have gelled to the tactic.

I am starting to work on one, will be a little while before I can post it up though hopefully in the next week I should have it up for you guys :).

Used this tactic with Newcastle and it was amazing the first 10 games or son then all ov a sudden a dip in form has been dramatic! Have you had any similar problems or is it just me?

Which tactic the two strikers or the 4-2-3-1? I haven't myself had any similar problems like yours though.
 
Quick update, things going great so far! Am in jan using 4231 after starting off using 424, am top of the league by 11 points and have goal difference of plus 63 already only conceding 12. Playing some great footy and solid in defence, got knocked out of COC by City on peno using 424 tac but now am mainly using 4231 tac as feel its more balanced in all areas I occasionally switch to the 424 tac for really easy games just to keep the AI on its toes. Oh am am using UTD by the way, Only sold Buttner and Young and bought Shaqiri,Clyne,Rodrigeuz,Doria,Correa and Romero. I had my match training before season started on team cohesion very high with slider all way to the left on tactics, then when tactic was fluid changed it to balanced average and left everything else the same. I hired Norbert Ziegler and Egon Coordes as scouts and set them to scout next opposition and always use there advice for match training! I hired Bernhard Peters as my *** manager and have him do attend press conf and set opposition instructions for all players! Also very important to rotate players at home games to keep your better players fresh for big games and away games! These tactics really should get more attention. Just to finish have just had 4 players in world team of the year :-)
 
I will try your tactic mate and thank you for sharing but just wanted to say that i cant stop laughing (frustrated) AGAIN by CCC/shots ratio AI teams no matter their quality have. Congrats to SI that pirates having more fun with the game (14.1.3 patches and previous) than us who buy the game every f** year.

Hmm I ain't sure man, I've only used it with one team who I created it for maybe if you adjust the roles and instructions might make a difference.

Sweet, glad to hear it. I only signed one scout for scouting opposition as they'll give you the same feedback half the time anyway. I only signed Rodriguez as left back is a dying part of the team when you start and Tim Wiese for back up for free as Lindegaard is bollox and plus the squad is good enough apart from those positions. I find Steve Round is a decent Assistant Manager for the time being anyway I may promote one of my coaches to be my Assistant Manager at the end of the season though. I recommend signing Balanta from River for Vidic's replacement him and Jones are tanks at the back for me. I made Van Persie my captain also as Ferdinand does have the higher influence but is injury prone and his fitness is never there hardly so kept Evra as the Vice Captain and made Van Persie the captain and has been ace in performances since. I also upgraded my coaches in terms of signing better ones with letting the more or less dead wood ones contracts expire at the end of the first season and has my training stars at 4.5/5 on every category now since I signed them. Can put my transfer history if you want for the second season.

I tend to sign young players or youngish in early 20's I try to keep it at if possible, signed a 21 year old AMC playmaker and retraining him to CM for Carrick's replacement and has had some good performances scoring two goals already.

Cheers man, means alot and yeah they do tend to get a fair few which is a pity.

Gonna loose Vidic,Ferdienand,Evra,Carrick,Fletcher at end of season gonna buy decent back up for Rodriguez and Javi Martinez or Gundogan to replace Carrick and Fletcher. I retrained Welbeck as AML and is a beast in that role, also retrained Rooney to CM in the AP role and has most assists in team so far. Just reached 100 gl mark with 8 games to go :-) Got knocked out of CL and FA Cup due to having 11 injuries end of Feb early March. Great tac!

Why you letting Evra and Carrick, they're quality still even if they are in their 30's. Ferdinand and Fletcher are good for rotation. Ah unlucky I guess for you to have 11 injuries.

I stuck to Attacking and Balanced when I beat them in the final, you could play Control and Fluid and change team instructions to shorter passing, keep possession, pass into space, slow tempo and be more expressive. That could work.

Ah sorry to hear that man least you can have a shot again at it next season, I play him how the tactic has the AMC in the Shadow Striker role he assists mainly but scores some goals also.
