The wages are over the top but he is one of the best players in his position so £25 mil isnt bad. People are just making an issue cause its City that bought him. I mean look at the Berbatov transfer?

Do you think you know what people are arguing about?

I dont think we will make a profit but we can make the books look like we have made a profit getting round this rule. All the shiek has to do is get one of his rich mates to sponser Man City 300 mil a season to have his company name on the hordings then the shiek can pay him back his money through one of his companys or a nice birthday present. This way Man City would be making enough to spend 100mil on wages a year and 100mil on transfers a year and make 100mil. I dont think it will be a problem.

yea we did over pay, but thats what is ment by the over-inflated market, brought up by city and madrid. i have it on reasonable information, man united nearly had the deal tied up for round about 25 million pounds with campbell going on as a loan, until city offered more in their deadline day transfer blitz

you think uefa hasnt thought about that??

TBH UEFA cant do anything if sheik does that. It will be a source of income for city. Who is to say that no other sheik will buy anything from city for stupid money just to balance books..

I don't see the big issue about this. As far as I'm concerned if you have the money you may as well use it to your advantage. I am sure City are aware of any possibility of future rule changes and have plans to deal with it. Great signing for City.

Thats if the story about the wages is true. Which is doubtful. But yea, no one would bat an eyelid if Chelsea or United had bought him for that much.
and again you keep side stepping the point and making it about something its not. no one question the fee specifically. im not saying dont have ambitii

it is good for city end of the day, and ill admit the fee doesnt bother me too much, as u lot have enough money to pay that for a player

but real winners with the inflated wages at city are the government, at least we'll be out of the national debt quicker than was projected, all these 100+ 200+ wages that are getting thrown out, just extra tax payments

WTF you lot on about.

City have the cash to do this, so why cant they? Where is it written in stone that they will spend this much every summer until 2015?
When Roman 1st brought chelsea they spent heavily for 2-3 season, then calmed down on it. maybe City will do the same. City have a bigger and better stadium then the Bridge, so they can afford higher wages.

If toure has a streamer of a season and they finish 2nd, surely thats him earning his wages, cause then better players are likely to come on lower wages, due to them being deemed a big wealthy club.

So get off your morale high ground on spending

Do you have a go at everyone in life who spends money they own.

Some guy who lives 2 miles down the road from me, just brought a horse for 150k. wanna tell him off aswell?

It is there owners money, they can spend it how they like, basically, your either worried about this, or jealous over it.

dont be a ****, cos clearly thats not what im talking about
if you wanna carry on the dicussion PM me

hoole = hole, clearly a spelling error.

as for spending 100m+ every year, youve pretty much done that so far, youre already upto 60 million this window

again you miss the point, no one is saying city shouldnt have ambition, we are talking about the uncontrollable, inflationary, unsustainable spending that city, and madrid, which makes a mockery of those who do try to be prudent.

City aren't being uncontrolled or unsustainable, if they were doing all this on loaned money, yes, it wouldn't being controlled or sustainable but they the money is there and there is no debt so they do not have to worry about it. Those who are trying to be 'prudent' as you put it just don't have any money to invest. Surely any other club in City's financial position would be doing the same, City are under pressure from the owners to make the club the best in the world within the next few years so they've got to sign the best players available to them so if there is players like Toure and Silva on the market, City are going to buy.

Toure is a great player and City are looking like a great team with the new players.
