I think Memo could've done better than Ajaccio. Just hope he becomes first choice and can prove himself at a new level.

It really is getting embarrassing now, Steven Caldwell... the amount of really decent players on free transfers that are out there that should be interested in us, and were going for the likes of this. Fed up is an understatement. I have faith in you Hughton, however going to need convincing seeing as our entire first team will have probably left by this time next month. Not much he can do about that tbh.

If he can keep a core group of players to stay, I think he could do with you what he did with us, completely rape the league. He is a good manager, and is very good at getting the best out of average players.

I am surprised you lost Gardener though, thought he would have stayed to try and pull the club back up. Sometimes players need to take responsibility for what has happened, we were lucky we could keep 85% of our 1st team squad when we got relegated, it meant we could go into the new season really strong and positive as we only had players that actually wanted to be there, as all the players that thought they were 'too good' for the CC had left.

Hopefully, you will managed to do a similar thing.

That is the positive way of looking at it ye, Hughton has undoubted quality as a manager and a motivator! But it just seems with the players that are seemingly on borrowed time at St Andrews and are destined for the door, we are signing a group of players that are nowhere near the level we are letting go, which is understandable in some ways but in terms of attempting to return immediately it isnt. What will be the joke is if we do get rid of many of our first team and Hughton gets blamed for our woeful fail to return within a season, the man is no magician. If Dann, Johnson, Jerome, Ferguson, Ridgewell leave that will be our season defined without it starting.

All blues fans were gobsmacked and hurt by Gardner just up and leaving, you have put it EXACTLY right, players should take responsibility!! Its amazing how quiet the likes of Johnson, Gardner, Jerome all went as soon as we were relegated, all before we went down they wouldnt shut up about team spirit and fan power blah blah etc. Its a Joke, there is no other way to sum it up. Losing my drive to support my team as vigorously as i do of late due to the lack of loyalty and passion by our entire club. Hughton has been the only positive to come out the club since May, oh and the kit looks half decent lol

Good to see Govou back at Ligue 1. Hope his abilities will be enough to keep the newly promoted Evian Thonon Gaillard for at least 1 season in the French Ligue 1.

The former England and Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler has joined Thai club Muangthong United and will be formally unveiled on Sunday, the club said in a statement on Friday.

Fowler will have his medical on Saturday before completing his surprise move to the Thai club, having quit A-League team Perth Glory in June saying he did not want to uproot his family for another season in Australia.

The club's deputy chairman, Wiluck Lohtong, was quoted on the club's website saying that Fowler would be officially unveiled as a Muangthong player at the club's stadium on Sunday.

Club officials could not be reached for further details about Fowler's contract but according to a local media report Fowler would be the sixth foreign recruit of the side, who won back-to-back league titles in 2009 and 2010.

John Arne Riise has pretty much signed for Fulham. Was at our friendly vs AFC Wimbledon today. Glad we got him because I don't think we've ever had a left back of his quality.

Oh good 'ol John. Was a legend with us, last two years zeered off quite a bit, lost almost all pace, now he's older, I'd imagine it's depreciated more.
His shots either hit the top cornor, or clear the ground <3.

Yeah, his shots on target record wasn't the greatest when he was at Liverpool but still, he's scored 49 goals in 552 appearances which is pretty astonishing for a left back. Only 30 so still a couple more years in him, hoping for a few belters (or deflections) from him next season :)

Lennon against Riise will be...interesting...

Was wonderful the season before last for Roma. Still got it I reckon, so we'll see.

Journeyman or what? Still, a massive legend so I wish him all the best in Thailand. Surely his family aren't going to move again, are they?

Yeah, he's a great player and a good profession, the only problem is that he can be a bit too ambitious sometimes. He's probably only left Roma because they want some 'world class' players with their new owners (and their money).

Gervinho has signed for Arsenal - confirmed now.
Lichsteiner has signed for Juventus.
Jonathan Woodgate has signed for Stoke (one-year deal).
