im on my 5th season. started of in the vanarama south now league 1. every season my team concedes most fouls, penalties, yellow cards and red cards. we also concede a fair amount from free kicks because we give away so many fouls. in game i click ease off tackles if a player is booked or sub player or team talk calm down. although this season in league 1 we are having best season fouls wise. i do think quality of player helps. i dont sign players who have competitive streak in scout report. they get sent off all the time

I also think it's related to the quality of the players. Tactic is solid in defense but that's the price you pay for managing a small club. It's my first season in Brazilian Serie A and I seldom get less than 5 yellow cards every match. Red cards every other match which forces me to rotate the squad a lot. Next season I'm trying to sign players with better tackling and marking attributes in order to fix this.

You are exactly right. Tactics like this one really does require a certain quality of the players. ESPECIALLY Full backs and Central defenders/midfielders will get a lot of cards unless they have good decision making, tackling and sportsmanship. These are essential in order to keep 11 players every game. In my title winning season I did indeed get a lot of yellows (3rd most in the league w Newcastle) but only ONE red card. Why? Because my players had good decision making and a fairly low aggression stat and if you have your DM on a yellow in the 75th minute - take him off.
 
anyone tried this tactic with Liverpool? how to use Coutinho and Firmino in this system?
 
I am about to start an FM Classic save with my friends online, which tactic do you think works best for this?

I'm not sure, but I don't think OI's are in FM Classic? will that matter? :(

I would probably play Coutinho as left mid but he is also good as CM in this tactic. Firmino would be good as both left mid and striker but it's a challenge to incorporate both in the same starting XI. Maybe rotate them on LM or sell Firmino because Lpool have very good CMs and STs.

You can try the instant result version then. But I think you can set OI's in FMC too (you just need to set them before every game).

But we're not gonna use instnat result, we will still play every game.. will the instant result tactic still be better?

Hi, using v2 and have godd results but still early. Could you give us some hints about shouts mentality change etc when in need of a goal or need to defend a 2-1 lead?

I have used sunfire and conqueror(no man marking). currently using conqueror (no man marking v3). just been promoted to championship and have a 6th round fa cup replay against boro. if i win its a semi against arsenal. also in the Johnston paint final. not quite back to back promotions. spent 2 seasons in league 2. its a little easier with ebbsfleet. chairman has a few quid

Still v. impressive mate.Actually tried the man marking version (not instant) with Forest. Promising start, insane number of injuries but gradually started to concede a ridiculous number of goals to crosses. Would dominate games, then two crosses come in, both connect, lose 2-1 or 2-0 and totally lost patience. Any issues with you conceding to crosses? Seems to be an issue with FM16 from what I see.

Then try the regular version with man marking. I personally do not care about OI's and let my assistant manager do them for me and the tactic still works.
