So I decided to give this tactic a go in my 2nd season with Atletico after a poor start to the season. I switched to this tactic after the 5-2 loss and the results were great. We retained our la liga title, won the champions league and only went out on away goals in the spanish cup against Real Madrid. Carrasco also won the ballon d'or I honestly can't recommend him enough for that left mid spot. I'll post a screenshot of my line up as well if anyone is interested. I think I'll probably step down and go to another team now and see how the tactic does there.

1st half of the 2nd season finished:
I'm still in both cups.
I'm currently on the 1st place of the league (13W-0D-2L).
Tevez is awesome as the main striker (19APPS-25G-11A)

I'm using the Instant Result version, and i'm holidaying through most of the matches. :)

Ive been playing FM since it first started and I really believe TFF is one of the great tactics creators of all times. However, he does have an unnatural disdain for the real lower leagues and seems to think little of his tactics at these levels. This really surprises me. Quite obviously the quality of players is not going to make the difference. It will be the tactics that do so and this can be evidence by their reliability. I was unhappy with Sunrise. I had had six straight promotions to League 2 with TFF tactics but Sunrise didn't cut it. I was told on here that it was because League 2 is so much harder than Vanarama, for example..... I was told that tactics validity was un reliable at these 'lower leagues'. So, with Sunrise in 2022, Jan 18th, in my first season in League 2 I was 15th, slightly lower than my board's expectations of a top half finish. Then Conqueror came. My record since then..... 11 winds, one draw, two defeats and the second placed goal difference for the league. Middlesbro have romped the division (as Bolton sink into the Vanarama) but with three games left I could still get automatic promotion. If not the play offs and even if I don't go up next year will be a stroll.... with Conqueror.

My message... don't underestimate the lower leagues and the feedback you get from them and yes, TFF is a great tactic creator still. All hail the Conqueror!!!! ;)

what database are you using for lower league

i was gutted my lower league save didn't work out. my laptop couldn't handle the extra data for all the new players and leagues. processing speed was long. it was going really well to. so i just loaded up save with ebbsfleet. in league 2 now.

Mate, everything that you need to know can be found at the OP :) and if there was something special that you need to know about the strikers then I would let you know and if you don't see any recommendations then it doesn't matter and you shouldn't worry about it. :)

i dont know if this was already answered but how can we train the wingers to inside forwards without having to train them for the aml/ amr positions? thanks :)

I just train them as aml/amr I assume that's how it's supposed to be done. As long as they get some sort of green in the position they can play there. My player won the ballon d'or from left mid and he can barely play there.

At the current moment in FM16 there's some issue about position training and I hope I'll be fixed in the latest patch.

Right now it's almost impossible to improve the position's rating further than "Competent" level by tanning the position.

So you need to buy players for ML/MR positions that already have "Accomplished/Natural" rating for ML/MR positions and you really may not bother with further rating improvement for these positions because anyway you can't improve it due to some issue that persists in the game right now.

So you can just choose the individual training focus from any position you like and I find that "Inside Forward" individual training focus fits the best for ML/MR positions.

P.S. if in the latest path it becomes possible again to improve a new position rating further than "Competent" rating then I'll reconsider the Individual Training focus for ML/MR positions.
