A superb month as we rediscover our form and really make a push back towards the top of the Premiership

View attachment 203164
We are looking much better now in the Premiership but we cannot get complacent. There are so many teams challenging for the top four this year and we have to stay ahead of at least four of them. West Brom look just about ready to give up at the bottom of the table and are surely gone.

The FA Cup has drawn us at home to Cardiff in the fourth round and that game is next up.

Despite picking up an injury and missing the last couple of matches, Ozil has been sensational for the club this part month and played a major part in the turnaround of our fortunes. He almost single handedly swayed the momentum of the team and we are all grateful. He has been officially recognised by the Premier League as the player of the month as well, well done Mesut!

I am also very happy to reveal that I have won the manager of the month award as well for the 3rd time in my career.

Shame about Horn mate :/ maybe a trophy might change his mind?

bit of luck! :) the only possible upgrades I can see on Horn would be the level of Courtois/De Gea/Ter Stegen. We will have to see how he feels in the summer, whos available and how much money we have.

Starting XI - Horn, Whiteman, Van Dijk, Ahodikpe, Chambers, Schneiderlin, Slattery, Ozil, Hesketh, Lucas, Williamson.

It wasnt pretty, but it was enough. A third clean sheet in as many games saw us through against Cardiff with a single Jake Hesketh goal proving the difference. This gives me a really nice problem as Ozil, Hesketh and Barry are all in form, and only one can play!

Starting XI - Horn, Digne, Van Dijk, Dier, Chambers, Schneiderlin, Alli, Bale, Ozil, Lucas, Martial.

He's back! Gareth Bale started his first game back at the club and played 60 minutes in our draw with Newcastle. How we didn't win this match I have no idea, just look at the amount of shots we had on goal! in actual fact we looked like losing this one and it took a last second Jake Hesketh equaliser to even scrap a point.

We were absolutely awful. I have no idea what changed but we were not up for the fight at all today. The silver lining to this defeat was a first goal for Gareth Bale who took his chance beautifully but we need to react positively to this defeat.

Tough Swansea result there. So how do you feel about the Bale transfer has it been value or has it been more of a trip down memory lane? lol

Starting XI - Horn, Digne, Van Dijk, Ahodikpe, Turza, Schneiderlin, Slattery, Bale, Hesketh, Lucas, Martial.

The perfect way to bounce back from the disappointment of the Swansea result as a rotated side thrashed Middlesbrough to get us back on track. Anthony Martial is so often the hero now that nobody bats an eyelid at home routing an opponent. His hatrick was superb and set us up for a perfect match against one of the lower sides of the league.

Glad to see you back and in style as well! I've really missed this story. Next up Manchester City... good luck :)

Starting XI - Lewis, Digne, Van Dijk, Tah, Turza, Schneiderlin, Alli, Bale, Hesketh, Lucas, Martial.

An incredibly satisfying win against Arsenal, away from home in the 5th round of the FA Cup. Another two goals from Martial see his remarkable goalscoring form continue. In truth it was an incredibly cagey game as we tried to control possession and patiently break them down and in the end it worked.

finally caught up, this is an amazing story. Excellent work dude.

A really mixed month with poor results against Newcastle and Swansea as well as a poor showing against Man City meaning we dropped plenty of valuable points. In amongst these results were some promising signs and good performances against Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Cardiff.

We still hold our position at the top of the table but the Manchester Clubs are seriously threatening to run away with it. The fight for the European places is going to be extremely tight with just four points seperating us in 3rd and Stoke in 8th with games in hand still needing to be worked out.

The FA Cup draws us in a nice home match against Tottenham for the quarter finals.

Anthony Martial just continues to slaughter defences at will. The only problem we seem to have is a lack of goals when he is having an off day. Five goals in his last three games secured this award for him. If we are to qualify for the Champions League again we will need him at his best.

Only the three fixtures this month due to International fixtures but anything less than three wins will be deemed a disappointment.

Starting XI - Horn, Whiteman, Van Dijk, Tah, Turza, Maia, Alli, Sanchez, Hesketh, Lucas, Martial.

After an appalling start where we fell behind early on, we roared back to smash Everton at St Marys and claim three precious points. Martial managed to net another hatrick and Lucas grabbed the fourth as once again we bounce back after a poor defeat.

A fantastic result against one of our major competitive rivals and we are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Martial got the ball rolling and Jonathan Tah surprised everybody with a stunning strike for our second. An unfortunate injury saw Sanchez switch to the right and Insigne come on to play on the left and that decision turned out to be a fantastic one as Insigne smashed two goals to turn the win into a rout.

Lucas is a massive part of how we play and has been for many year now. This is a bitter blow.
