The new dribbling settings for MCL/MCR/AMCL/AMCR/STC positions drastically changed the way how the attacking build up play worked and with the new dribbling settings 1 STC + 2 AMCs became much more efficient than 2 STCs + 1 AMC

I still hope in a couple of weeks, you will open a new thread with 4231 and 41221 formations stating that those formations are the best way to play FM17

Ehhh… in the last few months I spent huge amount of time on testing more than thousand versions of different 4231 and 41221 tactics, it was my maniacal idea to get a 4231/4122 tactic that had similar efficiency with Demolisher tactics but the best what I managed to get produced results that were about 40% worse than Demolisher tactics.

There are very obvious reasons why any 4231/41221 tactics can’t compete with Demolisher approach under the current ME.

If you’d asked me then I said that there’s 000.1 % probability that for FM17 there’ll be 4231/41221 tactics that similar efficient with Demolisher tactics.

Hey mate,

When I made that change I had doubts and I’ve still got them.

If you use the striker version and you want to use a strong but slow striker like Ibrahimovic then you can use DLF role but without “Dribble More” PI that was added for V2

If you’ve got or want to use a fast striker with good dribbling like Messi, Aguero and Dibala then use F9 role for him

With F9 and DLF the results are almost identical.

I still find that the strikerless version is better than the striker version, it’s just that with V3 the difference between them narrowed.

For the strikerless version all AMCs should be fast with good dribbling, they don’t need “Strength” attribute at all.

If you use the strikerless version then you’d better sell Hary Kane because his CA heavily invested into physical attributes such Strength and Jumping Reach but his Dribbling and Technique are poor, in the strikerless version AMCs don't need Strength and Jumping Reach so these attributes are quite useless for AMCs

If Gabbiandini can be found by using the filters then it means that he meets the minimal requirements for the AMCs in the strikerless version but it doesn’t mean that he is the best choice in the game as AMC for the strikerless version and if you got him then you don’t need to look for anyone better.

The filters just filter out completely unsuitable players and show suitable players from different CA range. The current filters show players approx from 120CA to 200CA range so any size clubs could find someone that would be a realistic transfer target.

Ive tested strikerless v1 version earlier with tottenham and kane scored 30 goals as AMC so dont sell him ) he will adapt very fast! By the way i won epl easily and reached champions league final.lost to man city after penalties

I cannot win the champions league however any special formula for that.i had 6 seasons with schalkae just managed semi final at best but domestically i have won 13 titles.And yes i have got very very gud squad as well almost full of worldclass players

Here's Harry Kane at the start of the game, 17.3.1

He is a very good player, his CA is 158 and due to his high Professional and Ambitions attributes he’ll reach his 172 PA after 2-4 seasons so after 2-4 seasons he’ll be a 172 CA player.

Also, he’s got “15” rating for the weaker foot(Left) which is awesome for attacker.

Also, if you manage an English club then he’s a English player with Home-Grown status which also makes his very valuable.

So when I suggested Tzahy selling him then of course, I meant then he should do that only if he can get an equal replacement for him.

For example, it could be Alex Teixeira.

Alex Teixeira also has got 159 CA which means that he’s got the same amounts of points to spend on his attributes as Harry Kane but Alex Teixeira’s CA is spent in more efficient way for the AMCs positions in the strikerless version than Harry Kane’s CA.

I assure you that Alex Teixeira will be much more efficient than Harry Kane as one of AMCs in the strikerless version.

There’s no any special formula for that except keep improving your team further and eventually you'll win it.

CL is a very tricky competition where many depend on your luck, especially in FM, I remember that it happened that in some of my saves I won it with only 140 CA team in my first appearance in that competition and in some of my saves it required 2-4 season to win it with 170CA team.

Got it TFF i was just a bit sceptical putting striker in amc position but it works perfectly! Now i stary another save with marseille and won the league first season when 5 games left.CL next season!
