Very much enjoying the story pal. Been quietly following for a while. Is your plan now to start bringing through Croation Youngsters and intergrate them into the first team? Am guessing the quality is pretty good in terms of regens! KIU.
Yes its definitely part of my MO now, Im going to start selling off some of the old guys on big money like Rooney, Johnson, Carrasso, Kolarov and bringing the youth through, being under 21's boss for Croatia has helped me to this aim as i have seen the likes of Asanin and Jurina in a new light and want to give them game time. I also think the only way i will get a new stadium is selling off the higher earners and make some money.

Totally just followed your lead with Rooney on a free! (6)
Was going to say dont do it! But i see you got him for a 10th of the wage contract i did as hes on 57k a week for me! I thought that was a good deal!

Nice story. Familiar with my save as i am Panathinaikos. Buying youngsters (either Greek or Norther Americans) and enjoying squad building and progression. One question. Are you playing on 14.3 patch? This 4-4-2 looks great in CL were i struggle a lot.
Yes i am playing the 14.3 patch and the tactic is awesome! Used it for my Dundee United save and it was unbelievable and then with Dinamo its worked well too, I would highly recommend it as the DMC roles me you very rarely get thumped and never lose a surprise match

Great form, and its good to see Ewandro back.

I only approached him due to curiosity after seeing you signed him, and the scout said he wanted 16-20k a week which is well out of my reach, so to get him for 5.75k-a-week is surprising

How has he been for you? I would like to think he paid a fair chunk of that back with shirt sales alone!

I didnt actually mention a boost or anything on the revenue side of it, i guess Rooneys not big in Croatia but he scored maybe 10 goals this season but mainly thanks to Petkovic, Ewandro and Fernando injured

Phew that was a busy month for the Under 21's, the current Croatia boss is looking like he wants to leave as former Hertha Berlin player Niko Kovac has declared an interest in taking them over.

Doing great in the Champions League, as well as the League! Quick Question about Champions League - What factors help you to do well? Resting players before the match? Just the tactics? Experienced players? Squad Harmony/Morale? Etc.

I'm managing Austria Vienna and I've done alright in the CL. Got to the knockout rounds last year (2nd season) but I have quite a young team now but ?16m in the bank which i could use. Any tips? Cheers mate :)

I'll give my 2 cents as well, Morale is a big part but if you're dominating a poor league like the three of us (me at Crusaders in NI) then you should be pretty much Superb all the time. If not think about how you can get Superb across the board.

Don't modify your tactics too much from your usual stuff - sure maybe go Standard instead of Control but don't sacrifice the way you play - it should be up to the opponents to figure out how they're going to cope with you!

Rest key players if there are less than 3 days between games (Sunday - Wednesday for example, Saturday - Wednesday should be fine). The same effect can be achieved by giving rest days but however you do it, make sure your best players are >95% condition and 100% match fit.

Experience isn't really an attribute but your best players regardless of age who score highly in Determination, Important Matches, Consistency (scout report for hidden ones) and any other attributes important to the style of play/position they fill. Notice I highlighted important games, I really can't stress this one because big game players really do turn up for the big games!

Other than that, counter specific threats from your opponents and hope for the best! Good luck! (6)

Cheers mate! Was gonna ask you too as you are in a similar position. Think I will try and look out for 'Important Matches' attribute when signing players in future. You need some luck and my young team will get better and better. Good luck too! :)

Great job becoming a fairly strong champions league team already.

How are the other Croatian teams doing? Any of them doing well in Europe?

Arazar has already said most of it but i would like to mention that the tactic im using is awesome and i rest a lot of players before the big matches whilst i like a mix of youth and experience in the side along with the fact i sell a player the second he starts moaning and try to have a small 22 man squad of decent players rather than 11 good starting players and then the rest a bit meh which has helped me immensely with the injuries i get!

Thanks mate the best so far has been Hajduk last season reaching the Europa League Quarter finals before getting knocked out by CSKA Moscow

First of all congrats on your successes with Dinamo!
Secondly how do you have 3 stories, juggle them, and NOT get bored!? i can't even hold onto to two before dropping the other in favour of my beloved Aberdeen!

Having 3 stories is precisely why i dont get bored, as i only play each of them for around 6 in game months at a time, The FM Base story is different anyway as i dont actually play the game i just sim the game and update whereas the Dundee one has been going for a while and the Crroatian season is so short and im at my favourite parts with both of them now where the regens start to take over, im always waiting for this part. Also i dont what to be one of those people who start a lot of stories but dont get very far with them.
Thanks for reading im already well into next season with Dinamo and there have been some big transfers .
