Dangerous Dinamo as I always call them when we get drawn against them in Europe. They must have 20 Youth recruitment surely, talk about a hotbed for talent! Like your save man, can't wait to see you have a full homegrown Croatian squad, with Hallivic your Messi!

I know man there pretty amazing and with the league being sub standard its easy to blood the new players, I hope not to have to sell Halilovic by trying to move on as many of the unwanted and foreign players as possible to swell the coffers!

What a result! I changed the tactic around a bit and the attacking wingers Brodic and Muric were on fire while Elmander has been outstanding yet again for us.

We continue our decent start to the season, winning all of our games this month comfortably with Elmander firing on all cylinders while Trezeguet even got a brace in the cup match.

9 out 11 wins to start the season but at least Rijeka are keeping up with this season only a point behind so far with Hajduk the struggling side.

We have the top two goalscorers in the league at the moment and we havent even started our ?6million striker yet! Elmander on a free has already scored 12 league goals in only 11 league games and Soudani hasnt wanted to be outdone either with 9 goals of his own.​

We manage to pull off an outstanding victory away from thanks to an own goal and a couple of sendings off but its not how you win! This was after we had already snatched a point off Lyon and currently top our Champions League group.

As mentinoned before we managed to pull off a decent draw against Lyon before going on to win the rest of our matches for the month with Santini scoring on his debut before having to be hauled off after picking up another knock.

Right so first off i was feeling a little lonely out in Croatia so i brought over former West Brom Prospect George Thorne on a free transfer to bolster the midfield.

Centre back Prenga scored a late winner for us and then we managed to get a draw with my former bogey team Benfica which sees us qualify for the Champions League knockout stages with a game to spare WTF!

Ah so we started the month with a shocking loss to Rijeka but that was soon forgotten with the blistering Champions League form we were in picking up 4 points and qualifying with a game to spare. Halilovic has really hit another level in recent weeks while Santini seems to have found his feet with a good cup performance after struggling for fitness in the opening months.

Despite beating us at the beginning of the month Rijeka are still 5 points behind us but they have really separated themselves from the pack now with Slaven Belupo plummeting down the table while Hajduk are 7 points of Rijeka let alone anywhere near us.

Oh dear, Kramaric gets between our two strikers in the race for the Golden Boot as both start to look a little tired after all the extra Champions League games having already played 11 European games this season hopefully we can raise the profile of the league and maybe get into the Champions League at a later date in the next few seasons.​

Elmander has lost his goalscoring touch in recent weeks in fairness as a whole we havent been dominating the league teams as we were but a nice rest now until mid February will surely see a boost in attacking threat.

Rijeka are not doing too bad in keeping up with us currently 7 points behind but the league title is down to a 2 horse race now with us and Rijeka so far ahead of the rest of the pack.

Im surprised Elmander still manages to top the goalscoring charts despite only scoring twice in almost 3 calender months while hes still second in the assists charts too just behind Pivaric while Halilovic seems to excel in the European games.​

Right so this was a bit mental he was nowhere near my first team and i didnt even rate him to have noticed him before but Southampton came in for him and he was off, He wasnt even valued at ?500k and i was seen as under selling him! Where are these sorts of offers when your desperately trying to sell players.

A lot of youngsters moved on loan to our feeder club while the most recent sales me we have made a net profit of over ?20million in transfer dealings this window after not feeling the need to bring anyone else in. On another note Beciraj has scored a shocking 1 goal in his first 22 appearances for Villareal.​

We start the second half of the season on fire thanks to the break with a couple of massive 6 goal wins in the league and it shows how much we will miss our main wingers Pivaric and Halilovic over the next few weeks but at least Elmander and Santini have found their feet again.
We also managed to draw with Valencia in Spain putting ourselves in a very good position for the second leg at home.

10 points clear of Rijeka at the top now but they do have a game in hand while they are a massive 15 points clear of 3rd placed Hajduk.

Elmander grabs 5 goals in recent games to see him move further ahead in the Golden Boot standings and only one goal off the magical 20 league goals mark, Beciraj in his fine form last season only managed 22.​

Not what you would expect from a Dinamo intake but im not too worried as we have about 20 odd 4 star and above potential youngsters already in the youth teams.

A couple of them will maybe make squad players but i doubt it but the LB Jakic is a welcome addition to a problem position and may well become a squad player in the future.

Luck of the draw strikes again as we manage to get a favourable draw against CSKA Moscow who wont be an easy task but are definitely not what they used to be a few seasons ago.

Well thats just great, Antolic came in for Halilovic after his injury and has been outstanding in the past month especially in the Champions League but he will also likely miss the rest of the season through injury.

We continue to dominate in all competitions this month as it shows how important it is to rotate your players and have a brilliant squad not just a brilliant team as despite only playing with 2 strikers all of our key strikers Santini, Elmander and Soudani have been in inspired form.

Elmander has found his feet again in the second half of the season after a dodgy couple of months while i cant wait to have Santini for a pre season next year and playing more often after a decent yet injury plagued first season with us.
