Guthrie = Football + Passion

Since the start of June West Brom have been run by a new man, a man that no one seems to know anything about. The passionate Scot was born and raised in Scotlands North East, a small town called Peterhead. He started his fortune with several small business's in the local area but it is his manufacturing company based in Aberdeen that supply goods to the Oil and Gas Industry, that has made him the billionaire he is today.

Today he sits in a nice cushy office at The Hawthorns with Richard Gordon of BBC Scotland discussing West Brom and the way forward.

Gordon: "New manager, new players, new chairman anything else up your sleeve?"

Guthrie: "No, nothing as yet. Quite content with the changes made so far"

Gordon: "So no new signings in January?"

Guthrie: "I wouldn't rule anything out at this moment but we certainly have no plans yet."

Gordon: "There are a lot of ex-players and famous folk involved in this league these days, do you feel a little out of your depth?"

Guthrie: "Quite the contrary actually, this is great down here. The atmosphere is good and having a drink with Arnie is tremendous fun. He wants to use one of our rigs up north to make a movie. Dennis Bergkamp is a great guy, possibly my all time favourite footballer and it is always an honour to spend time with him when we are in Swansea."

Gordon: "So you spend time with other Chairmen?"

Guthrie: "Yes indeed. Not all of them, some i would avoid if possible but it isn't always possible. Got a lot of time for the Hull chairman."

Gordon: "What did you make of all the bickering a couple of months back?"

Guthrie: "To be honest, couldnt give a monkeys!! It was amusing to me and completely childish when you read it back. But saying that, i can understand where it comes from, its a passionate game and some times it spills over."

Gordon: "Are you happy with how the season has been going so far?"

Guthrie: "Yes and No. We have been playing really well but can't seem to get results. Andrea is a top coach and that is why he is here. He wasn't my first choice but couldn't get my first guy. But things are going well enough, we are 15th at the moment and i think we can certainly build and move forward.

Gordon: "Who was your first choice manager?"

Guthrie: "Ah that would be telling now, i don't think there is any need to discuss that just now. Andrea is the manager and will remain so for the forseeable."

Gordon: "Thanks for your time today. Look forward to seeing you back up the road soon."

Guthrie: "Pleasure was all mine Richard, looking forward to coming home.

The Scot seemed in good spirits despite some on field difficulties. How long will the young Italian be in charge and how long can West Brom stay in the league? Only time will tell............

Shock news at Villa as lambert is SACKED!!

Villa fans are in a state of shock as lambert is sacked. He is replaced by Paulo Bento, the Portuguese manager. Also, we have had a point deduction so we are in 19th. To the Liverpool chairman, I agree. Starting from next season, anyone in administration should get a 20 point penalty. And to our fans this season, I will try to get us out of this huge mess by selling (if we can) some of our star players.

Canaries flying high

Well, it has been an excellent season so far for Norwich City, a team who had been predicted to be fighting in the relegation battle but now they?ve pushed up to 8th in the league and 3 points of a champion?s league place.
This month saw the Canaries play 4 times, winning twice and drawing and losing once each. The two wins were both impressive; with a goal from Gary Hooper beating Manchester United at Old Trafford while the side went on to beat 9th placed Everton 2-0 at Carrow Road.
New manager Marco van Basten, as well as his assistant Mike Phelan have settled in brilliantly and are set to be entrusted with a transfer budget in January to take the side higher up the table. Chairman Alan Partridge said that he would be planning to bring in at least one player in January but would expect a good price to be forced to sell a player.
In other news, the club have announced that Russian businessman Viktor Brezhnev has been appointed as managing director of the club. Brezhnev, who is highly suspected to be a fictional character, has an intriguing history being a close friend of Russian president Vladimir Putin (stemming from his time in the KGB) while rumours are still swirling over his involvement with a highly dangerous mob of Russian gangsters in 2008. One thing, however, is certain; it would take a big mistake for the club to go down now! Pictured below is Viktor Brezhnev, who some says bears a resemblance to Josh Brolin ;)

I'm happy to wait until next weekend for the transfer window. You've already put in loads of effort up to this moment. Take the weekend off and get spurs into the champions league (would make me happy, as a spurs fan).

Do the last update middle of next week, and then transfer window next weekend?

I'm fine with it. You could put a 1 day poll to see which chairmen say what. Then on Saturday, you can check the poll to see what the chairmen say.

Due to inactivity and no response from my PM, the West Ham chairman has been removed and replaced with a new chairman.

Watch this space! ;)

Southampton hire Pellegrini

Southampton have announced that due to a bad start to the season young talented manager Mauricio pocchetino has had his contract terminated with immediate effect. Chairman Spanish Dave said "his football wasn't good enough and neither were his results, we wanted 20 points in those first 13 games and we would have possibly accepted 15 like he got if we were scoring a lot but we aren't. Our style was poor this season."

Fellow South American manager Manuel pellegrini will replace him, after Southampton agreed a 2m fee with Manchester city for him. "We have got a top class manager, formerly of Madrid and Manchester city. His football is often a great style and I look forward to witnessing my club playing like that"

Man City hire Uwe Rosler as manager

Manchester city have shocked world football today, allowing Manuel Pellegrini to leave the club and join Southampton, only for him to be replaced by a man with no experience in a 'top' league. this is a very strange situation, but we met the chairman mike summerbee to discuss it.

reporter: so, mike. first of all why have you allowed Manuel Pellegrini to leave the club?

Summerbee: well, I actually was going to sack him but we received an approach for him so I allowed him to leave. our perormances have been far to hit and miss for a club of our standard. it also p*ssed me off that he refused to rotate, instead letting players like isco and mangala rot. I am not abramovic, I wont shift the blame to him if I made a bad signing but I expect players of that age to be given a chance to develop and be rotated in and around the squad. I guess pellegrini isn't capable of handling a big squad.

reporter: and why rosler?

Summerbee: he has shown at Brentford what a talented young manager he is, he plays good attacking football, and also uses an attacking midfielder, which is good for players like isco and silva. it is also no secret the amazing relationship he had with our fans back when he played for us in the 90's. he is one of the worlds top managers, but just isn't recognised yet. please meet him now! (rosler enters and sits on the seat)

reporter: Mr Rosler, how flattered were you with the interest from city?

Rosler: flattered?no. I am not flattered, this is a great club but I am worthy of it. I will prove this.

reporter: Mike mentioned your relationship with the fans prior to being appointed, due to your playing days. what do you think about the Manchester City fans?

Rosler: well, I remember a few years ago I had lung cancer, I had a tumor the size of a tennis ball, the chances of surviving weren't good.i was lay in the hospital bed when my phone rang "uwe can you hear it?" my friend asked,i could hear the city fans chanting my name in the background.i smiled for the first time since I found out I had it that day because I knew, with that kind of support- how could I possibly fail? so if I get the same support with a much less challenging part of life, managing a football team-we wont fail. we cant fail. as long as we remain, as the club motto has been over the last couple of years: Together!

LEAGUE TABLE!!

View attachment 406887(Some manager changes requested by Chairmen have not yet taken effect as I had already simmed before they made the request; you will see the manager updated in the End of January update.)

This evening I will be posting news in regards to the January Transfer Window!

All change at Cardiff

View attachment 406826

Cardiff City chairman Njmclare has finally decided to replace Solskjaer. ?its a shame that it didn?t work out with Solskjaer, I wish him best of luck in the future, I think he has great footballing principles in that he has a favouring for young players and attacking football but sadly it just didn?t work at Cardiff. I hope he gets another chance in the Premier League or top division abroad?

Cardiff City have decided to transform the backroom staff, bringing influences from the home of catenaccio (defensive football), Italy, which is hoped will make the team more solid, and less likely to concede goals. First off, new manager Stefano Colantuono, from Atalanta, is said to be a bit hot headed and has had a chequered managerial past. Njmclare confirmed that his past had difficult moments, including being sacked after only one game in charge of Palermo, however his recent past has been much better. Spending the last 4 years at Atalanta and getting them into Serie A in 2011 where they have remained since. Colantuono played in various divisions in italian football as a centre back, as well as playing in the professional Futsal league in italy. It is hoped that he can bring his defensive and technical knowledge to Cardiff.

Also following from Atalanta are Fermio Favini (Head of Youth) and Walter Bonacina (u21 manager). Also joining the back room staff are Elio Carravetta as fitness coach, David Fevre from Blackburn as Head Physio and Rodolfo Moura as Physio.

These changes at Cardiff City represent a big change, and it is hoped that such a big change will kick start their season. The changes have been costly, putting the club further in debt, however with plenty of players to sell in January, it is hoped the finances will move into the black soon. The club are currently operating within their means, having made a small profit in November and that was without a single home game.

Players on the transfer list

Cala - ?1m

(all prices negotiable / part exchanges welcomed)

Indeed.

Although if all the chairmen send me lists of staff to replace, you guys can go F*** yourselves, that would take forever on top of the transfer season! :p haha

Agreed. Maybe just *** men and DOFs? I won't be changing anything of that personally. I'm a chairman of The Liverpool Way and think that it's up to the manager who he wants working with him.

Mixed results but mostly good, I think. Bit of a let down vs Southampton and a tough loss to United but murdered Everton 5-0! Only a point of 4th, too. Keep it up Brendan.

Yeah probably best. *** man and DoF only from now :)

I'm impressed again! Out of the drop zone, unlucky losses vs Liverpool and city, and best of all, torres finally scores!

Transfer list:
Everyone, yes everyone as long as you offer reasonably and NO PLAYER SWAPS PLEASE :)

Also, you could do a COTY (Chairman Of The Year) award and put a poll to see who the other chairman vote for. If they vote for themselves, they could have 1 of 2 warnings. If they get a 2nd warning, they are sacked as chairman.

Interesting poll idea...although sacking them might be a bit extreme haha (you can just make the poll public so people can see who voted for who...sounds easier than sacking eh? :p )
