Dos Santos turns out a beast..so you sold him.

Do you mind if I steal your idea a bit and put quotes from other managers in mine, thanks anyway

Not my idea, it was Max's. I nicked it off him (K)

Good season there Dan. £3m for Vigano looks a snip

Yeah, came up in a scout report as "highly recommended" and just had to sign him. He'll go into the under 18's, then gradually move up.

Stoke 1-2 Spurs

A spirited Spurs performance gave them a 2-1 win at the Britannia Stadium, as Niko Kranjcar scored a fantastic brace to keep Spurs near the top of the pack.
The Croatian midfielder put Spurs ahead with 22 minutes to go, after a great one-two with Dzeko before smashing the ball low into the near post. He then added a second by sliding in at the back post to tap into an empty net with 7 minutes to go to wrap up the points for the Londoners. Former Spurs winger Matthew Etherington scored a consolation goal late on, but Spurs deservedly went out with the 3 points.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were very good today, and we showed we can battle for victories as well as cruise and I was very pleased with the win today.
Tony Pulis said:
We were good today and we kept them very quiet most of the game, but one moment of magic carved us open and we couldn't score early enough.

Another strong performance from Tottenham showed they are capable in Europe, as they walked out with a 2-0 win in their first ever Champions League game.
Edin Dzeko scored the first goal in the tournament in the club's history with a fantastic volley from the edge of the area, after the goalkeeper had parried a shot up in the air. Diego Buanonotte then scored a half volley from just inside the box after playing a mid air one-two with Peter Crouch before smashing into the top corner.

Daniel Feliciano said:
Very pleased to be in charge of this team in this moment of history. We've come into this competition knowing we can do well and we've got off to a great start.
Steve McClaren said:
Well being English I knew what Spurs were all about, but they were too strong for us tonight, and that puts us in a very difficult place to try and qualify but we've definately got time to get some points and hopefully stay in this competition.

Spurs 0-1 Liverpool

A fine performance from Tottenham wasn't enough to stop a Milan Jovanovic piledriver giving Liverpool the 3 points at White Hart Lane.
The Serbian winger, a new signing for the Liverpool side, smashed in an incredible 30 yard strike into the top corner past Spurs goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa to secure the 3 points for the Reds. Angel Di Maria had a late goal correctly ruled out for offside, and Spurs slipped to fourth in the league behind Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were very good today, but we were beaten by something special. No keeper would have stopped that, and that goal was worth of winning any game of football. We will look to bounce back in the next game, but with 5 games in 13 days, it's going to be difficult.
Rafa Benitez said:
It was something amazing that won this game for us. Incredible goal and we deserved this win in my opinion. We can beat the big boys, and hopefully we can push for the title this season.

Spurs 1-1 Arsenal(Arsenal win 5-4 on Pens)
League Cup 3rd Round

After a bore draw 90 minutes, Spurs were dealt a major blow before being knocked out of the League Cup at the first hurdle in their attempts to retain the trophy.
Theo Walcott and Eduardo both had goal correctly ruled out for offside in extra time, before substitute Edin Dzeko put Tottenham into the lead in the 118th minute, sparking mass celebrations at White Hart Lane. However those celebrations were short lived as centre back Phillipe Senderos smashed home in a goalmouth scramble in added time of extra time to send the game to penalties.
John Bostock and David Bentley missed the Tottenham penalties as a Spurs side that contained 10 changes from the defeat at Liverpool crashed out of the League Cup.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were unfortunate today. We took the lead very late on, and sat back for the last 4 minutes, but a massive scramble and the ball fell to him to smash it into the roof of the net. David is gutted about missing the penalty, but we move on and we must bounce back against West Brom at the weekend.
Arsene Wenger said:
We battled today, and we deserved the win. We controlled the game, and we were gutted when they scored, but we showed heart and got our rewards in the end.

Spurs 4-0 West Brom

A rejuvenated Tottenham smashed past newly promoted West Brom to claim a massive 3 points and a first win in 3 games.
A Peter Crouch brace, Diego Renan smash and Yannick Djalo goal sealed a big win for Spurs after Daniel Feliciano changed up the formation, and nobody seemed to be able to cope.

Daniel Feliciano said:
A fantastic win for the club and we bounced back very well. We re-shaped the team and looked very good. Very happy with our performance and we'll be going into the Barcelona game midweek full of confidence.
Roberto Di Matteo said:
We were poor today and we are capable of much better than that. If we want to stay up, we have to do ALOT better than that.

Spurs 3-2 Barcelona
UEFA Champions League - Group Stages

Tottenham secure a famous victory against one of the greatest teams in World Football after they beat Barcelona 3-2 at White Hart Lane.
Edin Dzeko opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a great header into the corner leaving keeper Quim with absolutely no chance. Former Spurs star Luka Modric, who left the Londoners for Barcelona in a £32.5M move in the summer, equalised for his new club, slotting the ball past Ochoa after a wonderful through ball from Yaya Toure. It stayed 1-1 at half-time, although it was a very entertaining first half with chances for both sides. Edin Dzeko scored his second of the game after a wonderful reverse pass from Aaron Lennon found its way to the Bosnian hitman who proceeded to round Quim and slot it into the corner. 3 minutes later, Diego Renan hammered an incredible free kick into the top corner from 40 yards out to make it 3-1 and the fans went crazy. Yaya Toure's strike late on went in off Ledley King to cause a nervy last 8 minutes, but Tottenham held on for the famous victory and now top Group H.

Daniel Feliciano said:
It's a wonderful achievement for me and for the club, to beat a club of Barcelona's calibre in a tournament like the Champions League. It's an achievement just to be here, but we really believe that we can go far.
Josep Guardiola said:
We struggled today, the pace they played at made it difficult for us and then they closed us down and didn't let us play. They out Barcelona'd Barcelona.

Spurs celebrate their win over Barcelona at White Hart Lane

Just read the story from start to finish, great first season, and amazing win over Barca, well done. Never mind thew Carling Cup you can win the Big treble now :D haha. Good luck in CL.

Cheers Aldo.. Don't know about the treble but I definately don't want a trophiless season.

Right guys, big big problems.

My PC froze last night, forcing me to turn it off via the off button. It came back on, however it wouldn't allow me to log into my username. I restarted the computer, and when it came back on, it had reset itself to factory settings and has completely wiped my hard drive.

Not only have I lost all my FM stuff, I've also lost all my photos, music and college work. My computer now takes over an hour to turn on so I'm going to send off for a replacement under the warranty. However I have lost all data on my computer, meaning my Spurs save, and every other save (including Wolfsburg :'() have been deleted and have disappeared.

Just to let everyone know what had happened since my last update, I managed to get to February 2011 I was sitting top of the league, level on points with Manchester City who were my next fixture at the City of Manchester Stadium. Edin Dzeko and Peter Crouch were both top of my goal scoring charts on 24 goals each with Niko Kranjcar no doubt being my star player of the season. There were no ins or outs in January at all, although I was looking into bringing in some players on free transfers. I was going to face Lyon in the next round of the Champions League, and had drawn Tranmere in the latest round of the FA Cup.

Anyway, thank you all for following my stories for FM10, but this was my last and it's a massive shame that it has had to end this way. I do apologise, but there is nothing I can do about it.

sad to hear that this was a great story but hopefully we will see some great fm11 stories from you in the future :D
