Congrats on the cup mate. Although it hurts to say it you're looking set for (at least) the double, especially on goalscoring terms!

Magical Month of March - March Round Up..

Spurs 4-0 QPR
FA Cup Quarter Final
View attachment 62847

A sensational performance from Tottenham saw them coast through to the Semi-Finals and move one step closer to yet another visit to Wembley. Peter Crouch kept up his good form with another fine strike into the top corner to give Spurs a fantastic start. He then headed home his second to double his sides lead and give them room to manoeuvre. Eidur Gudjohnsen then slotted home a few minutes later to seal the tie before half time. Jermain Defoe added another late on in what ended up being a comfortable win for the North Londoners.

Daniel Feliciano said:
It ended up being a routine win, but it was a lot harder than the scoreline suggests. We controlled but they made it difficult for us and we were just lucky enough to take all the chances we got today.
Mick Harford said:
We were good today but we were outclassed by the team that I believe will win the Premier League this season. Had we put in that performance in the league, we probably would have won. That's the difference.

Spurs 4-0 Stoke

Another scintillating performance from Tottenham gave them yet another big win at White Hart Lane this season. Jermaine Defoe bagged his 30th goal of the season in all competitions with a superb low powerful strike into the corner. Peter Crouch then slotted home his 100th career league goal to double Spurs' lead. Luka Modric then scored what would be the first of a good run in the month before Roman Pavlyuchenko scored a sublime curling effort from the edge of the area to finish the rout and seal the 3 points.

Daniel Feliciano said:
Another great performance from us tonight. We are high in confidence, and we honestly believe that we can't be beaten. With performances like that, who can beat us?..
Tony Pulis said:
We were poor today. We were completely outplayed and deserved to get thumped. Not impressed at all.

Spurs 2-2 Manchester United
View attachment 62849

A fantastic performance from 10 man Tottenham was ruined as they conceded 2 goals in two minutes to the on fire Wayne Rooney as Manchester United snatched a point at White Hart Lane. Ledley King headed Spurs into an early lead from a terrific Luka Modric cross from a free kick. Sebastian Bassong then conceded a free kick right on the edge of the area as the last defender and was shown a second yellow card for stopping Wayne Rooney. That was the turning point of the game as Spurs looked to just hold on and attack on the break which is what they did in the 78th minute when Assou-Ekotto smashed a ball over the top for Jermaine Defoe to latch onto and slot home for what everyone thought would be the winner for Spurs. But Wayne Rooney had other ideas as he scored 2 in 2 minutes to ****** a point for Manchester United and leave the gap at the top at 2 points.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were terrific tonight. To play so long with 10 men against one of the best teams in the world and go 2-0 up with 10 minutes to go, and then lose it and draw 2-2 is very disappointing and the second goal shouldn't have counted but that's football and we get on with it. We're still top so we know if we win the rest of our games we will be champions.
Sir Alex Ferguson said:
We were poor in the first half but the red card woke us up and I think we deserved a point if not 3 points. We were unlucky not to get the win, but it's hard when they put 9 men behind the ball when they only have 10 on the pitch.

Hull 1-3 Spurs
View attachment 62850

Hull were outclassed at the KC today as Spurs bounced back from their draw to smash Hull. Aaron Lennon raced away from Kevin Kilbane before smashing the ball through the legs of the Hull goalkeeper to make it 1-0. Jermaine Defoe then powered a shot into the corner to make it 2-0 and Modric continued his incredible month by tapping in to make it 3-0 before half time. Amr Zaki scored a penalty with 5 minutes to go as a consolation goal, but Spurs still go home with the smiles on their faces.

Daniel Feliciano said:
Another top performance from us. We showed what we could do and made sure that we took our chances tonight. Very proud of the lads tonight.
Phil Brown said:
We were good today, but not on their level. They were phenomenal and we weren't fast enough or strong enough. We've got to improve.

Spurs 2-0 West Ham
View attachment 62851

A vintage performance from Spurs sealed 3 points at White Hart Lane over bitter rivals West Ham. Luka Modric scored yet another goal in this impeccable month of form he is having when he stabbed home a rebound from a David Bentley free kick. They they began to dominate the game with possession with Jermaine Defoe coming close a few times. Then late on David Bentley was brought down in the box, and Roman Pavlyuchenko sealed the points by slotting it past Robert Green. In between the two goals, West Ham captain Scott Parker was sent off for a second bookable offense.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were solid yet again today. We didn't have as much pace as usual out wide with Angel and Aaron both injured, but we had the technical ability with David and Niko and it showed with the possession of the ball so it was a good performance from us today and we got the 3 points.
Gianfranco Zola said:
We were unluck today. We had chances, but we couldn't take them and that is the difference at this level. We need to take the chances we get, but today we didn't and they did.

With 6 games to go, Tottenham Hotspur lead the league 2 points clear of second place Manchester United and 4 points clear of 3rd place Chelsea. With Chelsea being Tottenham's next fixture, it could prove to be all important to the title race, and Chelsea will be hoping their home advantage can prove vital.

Wow your doing amazing. Good luck for the remaining games, especially the Chelsea one!

Cheers Jhopper, really surprised at how well I'm doing, wasn't expecting to be near winning the league first season..

You're really doing brilliantly Dan :)

Keep it up until the end of the year :D

An Arch Too Far.. - April Round Up

Chelsea 1-1 Spurs
View attachment 63511

A 95th minute Roman Pavlyuchenko strike gave Spurs a more than deserved point at Stamford Bridge in this game. Luis Suarez had put Chelsea ahead on 29 minutes with a low drive into the corner after beating the offside trap with his pace. But Spurs controlled the game from then on and looked much more threatening throughout the game and finally got their reward in the 5th minute of 4 minutes added on when Roman Pavlyuchenko slid one into the corner after great work from Croatian playmaker Luka Modric. Controversy ensued, but the final score remained 1-1.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were fantastic today. Any other day, this would have led to a victory, but Chelsea are quality opposition, and did well to hold on.
Carlo Ancelotti said:
We were good today and we managed to stay strong and keep our shape for the 94 minutes. However, they scored in the 95th so we feel hard done by of course.

Sunderland 1-0 Spurs
View attachment 63512

A ragged performance from the league leaders led to their 5th league defeat of the season at the Stadium of Light. Aaron Lennon was forced off with an injury on 20 minutes, and Spurs struggled to create anything without his pace out on the flank. Tom Huddlestone was sent off in first half stoppage time for a second bookable offense, and they missed his presence when Kieron Richardson smashed in a fantastic strike from the edge of the area to give Sunderland the 3 points.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We lacked imagination and creativity today, which isn't normal for us this season. It showed today and we were punished for a poor performance.
Steve Bruce said:
We were magnificent today in my opinion. We held the ball well, hit them on the attack quickly and were direct and I think we probably deserved the win in the end.

Bolton 2-1 Spurs
FA Cup Semi-Final
View attachment 63513

Spurs were knocked out of the FA Cup on their return to Wembley after a spirited performance from Bolton. Ivan Klasnic put the underdogs ahead just before half time with a fine finish low into the corner to beat Heurelho Gomes. Peter Crouch equalised with a cracking effort into the top corner to lift Spurs hopes, but danger man Kevin Davies nodded home from close range late on to win Bolton the game, and a return ticket to Wembley.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We lacked the spark again today but the difference being that today we had the chances to win the game but we didn't take them and again we were punished.
Owen Coyle said:
We were fabulous today and fully deserve to be at Wembley next month. Great moment for the club.

Spurs 4-2 Aston Villa
View attachment 63514

Tottenham bounced back from a horrid week by smashing past Aston Villa to restore their place at the top of the Premier League. Peter Crouch headed Spurs into an early lead at White Hart Lane after great work from David Bentley out on the flank. Jermaine Defoe smashed a second goal past American Brad Friedel to cushion the London side's lead. Gabriel Agbonlahor then shattered Spurs hearts as he scored his 30th and 31st goals on the season within 2 minutes of eachother outpacing a lacklustre Younes Kaboul to score both goals. Peter Crouch then smacked home his second of the game, before Niko Krajcar wrapped up the points by tapping in from 4 yards out in the 93rd minute.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We finally found that golden touch today, and proved it with the 4 goals. Younes wasn't at his best and Gabby made him look average but we bounced back well and got the 3 points which is the most important thing.
Martin O'Neill said:
We were decent today I thought. We managed to get back from 2-0 down to 2-2 but then conceded two more and it's cost us the game. We were unlucky in this game.

Spurs 3-1 Everton
View attachment 63515

Another fine performance from England giant Peter Crouch ensured Spurs got another 3 points and stayed top of the league with 2 games to spare. The 6ft 7' hitman headed home a beauty from 8 yards out 8 minutes in, before Vedran Corluka scored his first goal in Spurs colours on 16 minutes to double the home sides lead. Phil Jagielka headed in from a corner before half time, to make it tighter, but another Peter Crouch goal settled things in the second half and made sure Spurs were still in with a shout of the League title heading into May.

Daniel Feliciano said:
We were fantastic today. We kept our shape, kept their front ment quiet which is something we didn't do at Wembley and we took our chances and got a deserved 3 points.
David Moyes said:
We struggled to keep up with their pace today, and their fans were incredible. Really made it difficult for us to find a rhythm and in the end we were well beaten.
