Wolfsburg have announced that they will sign a 'major superstar' in the summer on a free transfer, but are refusing to name who the player is.
Daniel Feliciano said at his press conference in midweek, "We came accross a massive surprise that this player was available on a bosman, and we jumped at the chance to take him on board." When asked who the player was, his response was simply "You'll have to wait until July 1st 2013" with a cheeky smirk on his face and then he said the press conference was over.
With this news, the rumours will begin to fly, with an array of players being named as the signing that Feliciano has snapped up.
Excellent month. We are beginning to run away with the league sitting top by 8 points now ahead of FC Bayern, and Dzeko is scoring for fun. Very happy with this month, even though we did only play 3 games. In the transfer market, we sold 1 player and brought in two on free transfers for the summer, 1 unnamed global superstar, the other being Argentinian striker Ezequeil Lavezzi. Very pleased with my dealings in the window and look forward to the second half of the season!
Excellent month where we have managed to uphold our undefeated record. We have been solid throughout and we're scoring a decent amount of goals and not conceding too many. Slightly disappointed with the result against Standard but the fact we got 2 away goals is a positive thing, and now when they come to Germany we can give them a going over . Very good month for us, and we remain dominant.
Excellent month again, where we managed to get to a fourth consecutive German Cup Final under my managerial guidance, the Quarter Finals of the Champions League (Board's minimum expectation) and increase our lead at the top of the league. We also managed to keep up our unbeaten record in the league, which now extends to 7 straight wins and 43 unbeaten!
European champions Wolfsburg will have to conquer Rome if they are to have the opportunity to defend their title in this seasons final, after the two giants were drawn against eachother in the Quarter Final of the competition.
The first leg will be in Rome at the Olimpico Stadium, with the return leg a week later.
Wolfsburg have qualified thanks to a last minute Edin Dzeko goal at the Volkswagen-Stadium. We dominated all game through, and a mistake from Adler led to their goal which would have taken them through on the away goals rule. Great stuff from us, and I'm absoloutley ecstatic that we are in the Semi-Finals again
Wolfsburg have been drawn against Real Madrid for the 3rd season in a row and must beat them if they are to qualify for their third consecutive Champions League final!
