January 2017..
Transfers.. FINAL!
Wolfsburg caught the eye of many fans and pundits alike by signing 3 excellent prospects for big sums during this January window. Feliciano, who is renowned for his free transfer signings in the January market confirmed he had signed one star for the Summer on a bosman ruling, but wouldn't confirm who it was. However, he also signed
Nicolas Lodeiro from title rivals Hoffenheim for £11.75M in order to bolster his midfield. He also completed the big money signing of centre back
Sergiy Kryvtsov from HSV for a massive £16.5M and he will provide competition at the back for Argentine duo Nicolas Otamendi and Juan Forlin. He then signed wonderkid Guillen for £2.7M from Athletico Madrid and was quoted as saying he was ecstatic at the coup of signing the youngster and couldn't wait to start working with him. After the 3 big in's during the window, he also sold on a few players.
Mehdi Carcela, who never really stamped his mark on the Bundesliga with the champions has signed for Sevilla for £4.5M, and up and comer Clodoaldo, who has failed to live up to his potential has signed on the dotted line for Stuttgart for an initial £1.7M, which could eventually rise to £2M.

A great month for us this time around where despite the 2 draws out of the four games we were undone by late goals both times. We deserved the win everytime, and really we should probably be more than 7 points clear at the top of the league. However, we are only 7 points clear, which at the moment is a fairly decent lead at the top of the league, but with all the big teams to face over the coming February month, including our Champions League tie vs Sporting, it's going to be a very tough month.

Wolfsburg manager has revelaed his heartache about his childhood for the first time today in an interview with Sky Sports.
As a child, it was hard for me growing up in London. We were a comfortable family, but the area I lived in was a rough one, full of gangs and "gangsters". It was tough growing up as a child knowing that the colour you wear on the street could get you killed. It wasn't a nice feeling going out knowing you had to be careful with who you looked at etc. I haven't been back there since I was 18, and I'd love to go back one day and stay for a little while, see how it's getting on, and see if there is anything I can do to improve it. But when that will be, only God knows.
