Transfers - Summer 2016 (So far)
Wolfsburg have had an explosive transfer window so far, with 5 players moving away from Prager Park, and 5 moving in to Prager Park within the first month of the transfer window. Edin Dzeko joined Athletico Madrid in a £30M deal to create one of the most deadly strike forces in World Football as he will be paired alongside Sergio Aguero in the Spanish teams attacking third. Artem Milevskyi signed for local rivals Bochum for a cut price £2.5M as he was deemed surplus to requirements to Daniel Feliciano's plans anymore. Ashley Cole left the club on a free transfer after the two parties couldn't agree a new deal with the German champions. Oscar Santaniello and Jose Enrique have also left the club on frees. However, Daniel Feliciano was quick to bring in players to fill the gaps left in the squad by those departed. The biggest transfer easily being the signing of Italian forward and player of the European Championships, Alberto Paloschi for a staggering club record £55M. He will looked at to fill the void left by former club captain Edin Dzeko. Franck Ribery has also joined the German champions, but he has joined on a free transfer after he couldn't agree a new deal at his former employers, Barcelona. 3 youngsters have also joined the Wolfsburg club, with central midfielder Daniel, full back Michele Marinelli and Branislav Protic all also joining for minimal fees.
Daniel Feliciano has been quoted as saying that he is still looking to bring in one more player for that central midfield position that was left empty by the retirement of Rafael Van Der Vaart, who has re-signed with the club as a scout, and Ricardo Costa who was captain of the German club when Daniel Feliciano arrived, has also signed with the club as a youth scout, after he also retired from the professional football during the summer.
