Dortmund, the only way is up
by Ka5abian and mjt12

German First Division side Borussia Dortmund today announced the appointment of English Manager Matt Teague was to take the reigns at their club. Former Manager Jurgen Klopp was forced to after fans started chanting 'Klopp is a flop, Klopp is a flop' as they walked off the pitch after a 4-0 defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach on the last day of the season.
This year will be the club's centenary year and the chairman Dr Reinhard Rauball insisted it would be a good year.

Let the rise begin!

It was just another day in the life for former Croat international Dado Klos. As he sat on his yacht, in a quiet river in Italy, he reminsced over his playing days. In a career tragically ended by injury at 22, he had yet to get a job in football, in spite of having his Uefa pro badges, and having 13 years passed since that night in Moscow. The year was 1997, and his team Hajduk Split, travelled to Moscow, to play Dinamo Moscow. It was a Uefa Cup semi-final, 2nd leg. Hajduk were 2 up going into the tie. The first half saw Moscow claw two goals back, and the score stayed the same until the 87th minute. As Hajduk cleared from a corner, Klos went on one of his trademark, counter attacking runs. He was by one, two, three men, no-one could stop him now. And then BAM !! He felt a surge of pain, down his right knee, as he fell, and then collapsed from, the pain on impact. The next thing he remembered was waking up in hospital, to be told his team were out, and he was out of football for the rest of his life.

He let off a great sigh and returned to his obituaries.Suddenly the phone went, he answered.

'Hello'

'Yo, Dado, whatchya doing ?'
'Enjoying the life, who is this ?'
'We, Borussia Dortmund have a job for you.'
The other line went dead. Dado, knwoing this was an opportunity he couldn't turn down, immediately docked, and got the next flight to Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund, formerly a giant of the European game, now mid-table cannon fodder in the Bundesliga. WHat could they possibly want with him ?

As he arrived at their monster Signal Iduna Park, it only then struck him, that no matter what this 'job was they offered him, he'd now be involved in the beautiful game again.

'Mr Rauball will see you now', said the soft voice of his secretary. I walked into the Chairmans office a nervous man, and left a shocked but delighted one. I was, tomorrow, to be announced the manager of Borussia Dortmund.

I love Dortmund! Will definitely follow this! (H)

Pre-Season
Pre-Saeson went very well for the lads. They played very well and the likes of Lucas Barrios and Jakub Blazcyowskyi showed that they deserve their place in the team.

As you can see, every game resulting in a win. Perhaps the most notable result there was the 5-3 thrashing of Hull City at The Circle. Rangelov grabbed 4 goals and is pushing for the first team. We thrashed Leyton Orient 5-0 and Lukas Barrios added 2 goals as he should be as the first choice striker. Hajnal also grabbed a few goals earlier on in pre-season against Austria Wien and FC Groningen, where he scored a 30 yard screamer.

Chairman Reinhard Rauball added
Reinhard Rauball said:
I'm sure that appointing Teague was the right decision and he has showed his managing skills with a fine pre-season. So far he has managed to get the best out of Barrios, Rangelov, Kehl and Hajnal, which Jurgen Klopp could not do.
