A much belated end of season update at some point tonight. :D

Somewhere in the middle, probably not as good as you'll finish, but I'm happy enough with the foundations laid for next season.:D

Defeat against Giants

Franck Ribery's brace for Bayern in the closing stages of the match gave the recent chapions the victory at the Allianz arena. He picked up the Man Of The Match award.

Lead thrown away twice

Lucas Barrios gave Dortmund an early lead after just 12 minutes were played. Lethal striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy then equalised from the penalty spot. Barrios then put Der BVB ahead again but Right Back Patrick Onweleya(sp) scored a great own goal.

Bore Draw at Bremen

A game of silence as a brand new needed away tactic was introduced fr this game. We played well and a draw is what was expected of us.

Lead thrown away again

We were 1-0 up when Dimitar Rangelov put us ahead in the 2nd minute. The game stayed like that until the 73rd minute when Stuttgart pulled level. Another goal for each team folowed.

Unlucky there mate, keep going, the league can be yours (K)

Dortmund scrape victory

A single Lucas Barrios goal in the 59th minute was enough to scrape a tight victory over Schalke at the VELTINS-arena in the Bundesliga.

Koln Smashed!!!

A 2nd minute goal from strong target man Lucas Barrios set up a perfect opportunity for a 5-0 hammering of Koln. Der BVB went 2-0 up 1/2 an hour into the game and Lucas Barrios was the man again to make it 2-0. Dimitar Rangelov scored again 2 minutes later for 4-0 and again in the 70th minute. Defender Neven Subotic scored in the 72nd to give the Dortmund fans a few smiles on the way home.

Shocking loss to Nurnberg

A 32nd minute goal from slovakian striker Marek Mintal was enough to seal a surprise win for Nurnberg as they beat title challengers Dortmund at home.

Dortmund fail to capitalise on man advantage

Bosnian midfielder Sahid Sahilovic scored after 3 minutes to put Hoffenheim ahead against Borussia Dortmund. Luis Gustavo was sent off after 26 minutes 10 minites after Sebastian Kehl equalised for Dortmund.

End Of Season

A season of mixed fortunes, I'd say. A very disappointing league campaign amended only by success in the cup. A failure to gel as a team, it seems, destroyed our league campaign, and it hardly helped when our talismanic striker Mohamed Zidan left for the African Nations cup halfway thorugh the season. This, and a failure to stay consistent hindered us, and lead to an extremely disappointing, though anticipated, 14th place finish.

In the German cup, however, we proved we were a decent enough team to be higher than where we were in the league. A penalties victory over Stuttgart in the quarters filled us with belief, and I started to focus my efforts on the cup, with our league position falling as a result. Schalke 04 awaited us in the Semi-finals, and after them racing into a 3-1 lead, at half time, we peformed admirably, and clawed our way back to 3-3, and it remained this until the last-minute of extra-time, before a wonder strike from Markus Fuelner won it for us.

Bayern Munich beckoned for us in the final, and we didn't disappoint; rushing into a 2-0 lead, I was ecstatic. The score remained the same until the 84th minute, when Luca Toni bundled in a header, and all of a sudden we were under the cosh. In literally the last second of the match, Arjen Robben popped up with a 35 yard wonder goal, and equalised. May as well be honest, I thought the dream had gone down the pan, but we kept it tight in extra time, and took it to penalties. Anything could happen here, I thought, and we ended up winning 4-2 on pens.

Manager Dado Klos had this to say after the match

What can I say !! In spite of a below par league campaign, we come here, and put a dampener on Bayern's title party. They came here today expecting an easy game, but we showed them we are no pushovers. I tell you, if we had performed like that all season, we would have won the ****** league. We were outstanding, and to our credit, once the cracks began to show and Bayern equalised, we held on and clinched a deserved victory on penalties. Thirteen teams came ahead of us this season, but unlike twelve of them, we finished with a trophy. People forget at times we have a young squad, so may even be three or four years before we reap the benefits of this. Next year though, we will no doubt be wrote off as relegation fodder, but I think the foundations are in place to finish strongly next year.

My Home Tactic:

View attachment 85847

The main idea of this tactic is ATTACK. As it is a home tactic I aim to perform to the highest level and maintain the best amount of support from the fans. Four defenders, as per usual and a Defensive Midfielder, for when the opposition attack on the counter, we have an extra man back. Nuri Sahin is positioned in Centre Midfielder and has played very well there this season. Netting a hat-trick and being the joint assists leader. Jakub Blaszcykowski on the right is a pacey winger. His crossing is excellent and he often cuts inside an sets up good chances. Tama Hajnal on the left is one of our best advannced playmakers, setting up good oppoortunities and scoreing beastly free'kicks. Lucas Barrios is a strong target man and he suits that role perfectly, picking the ball up and holding it until other player's arrive in the box. Dimitar Rangelov is our advanced forward and often breaks and scores, he is also a master at penalties. If you would like this tactic for download, ask me. Away tactic to come after update.

I was halfway throgh my update, when I got a blue screen will update when laptop fixed

A very even game, could have gone either way. 50% of the possession each way, but our shooting let us down. 9 Shots, but none on target, shocking. Neven Subotic got our highest rating with a 7.3 but Hannover are a strong team and we fought well.

Centre Midfielder Tinga scored 2 goals in this game. His first came from a 25 yard striker straight past the Gladbach keeper. His second goal, was on the penalty spot, 12 yards out, right in the bottom corner. Dimitar Rangelov scored our 3rd goal and Oliver Neuville scored a consolation right at the end of the game. We dominated and deserved to win, 60% of the possession and 17 shots, well played lads.

The game was very even at the Commerz-bank arena in Frankfurt, Germany. It could have gone either way but Frankfurt were the team to take advantage of the stalemate. Caio scored 33 minutes in and they looked the part in their lead. A change of tactics was required as Frankfurt were taking the game to us. I dropped my defence back and retained the possession, quickened things up and countered. Playmaker Tamas Hajnal drew level 64 minutes in. Mohamed Zidan used his pace to get behind the defence and sprint through to score, 2-1!!!!, Teague had done it, I was quite proud with this comeback, even if I say so myself.

Domination is fun, but we couldn’t score. 60% possession, ****** 21 shots. Tamas Hajnal was again MoM for the 3rd time this month. His passing and runs were superb, and he deserved a goal, but he just couldn’t score.

A bitterly disappointing end to the season. The man we all know about, Edin Dzeko scored a good goal to kick start the Champions. He scored again just 17 minutes later and again 3 minutes after that from the penalty spot.

The League:

Wolfsburg came through as Champions again and Leverkusen finished second. Bayern came a good third and I think a 4th place finish is commendable.

4th is a good finish. Excellent layout and good luck for the new season

I feel like crying when I compare my sucess to yours.:'( Still, you did well, and I am about to add screenshots and more detail to last update, with pre-season update to follow :D

Pre-Season- Stamping out the Errors

Honestly speaking ? The squad lacked both self belief, and a bit of class that will win you a game. Given a budget of around 16 million to avoid relegation with, I immediately set my sights higher. With qualification for the Uefa Cup also acquired through the German Cup Victory, we also needed to strengthen the backbone of our squad for that.

So, signings first. In came-

Artem Milevskyi (6mil plus clauses)

Signings Review

Delighted is one word I could use to describe this tansfer window. The signings of Kiko Femenia and Artem Milevskyi were the two I was particularly pleased with. Milevskyi is, I'm sure you know, a goal machine. One thing we were lacking last year was firepower, and he alone could probably score the amount my forwards did last year. Kiko Femenia, put short, turns into a beast. He is very versatile, and can fill in most wide positions. The signing though, I'm sure that shocked you the most. When looking for backup to Milevskyi, as I didn't really have a player in his mould if he got injured, I was thinking of inexpensive options. Step up Shevchenko. Lets face it, you can't really go wrong for 2.5 mil, and he could prove to be a bargain buy. I admit though, it's a risky buy.

Ludovic Magnin, was signed on a free to fill in the left back position. A seasoned campaigner, I was delighted to get him on the cheap, and fill in my defence. Leandro Cabrera, as, bizzarely transfer listed by Atletico Madrid for 2.6 mil. I wasted no time in slapping in an offer, and he promptly became my last defender that was necessary.

Fernando Gago, on his day, is a beast, and even if we only have him for a season, it's still our benefit. Last but not least, is a promising Mexican defender Darvin Chavez. Put simply, he's one for the future at an inexpensive rate.

Pre-Season Results

Due to inability (forgetfulness) to arrange a friendly, we only played one game against Pescara, which we romped 7-0.

Pascal Feinduno-500k-1 Million

Diego Bounanotte-3 Million-4 Million

Mahmadou Diarra-2-3 Million

Pre Season

Transfers in....

Nicolas Burdisso-Free

A good signing and should do well for a season as a backup and then force his way into the first team.

Diego Bounanotte-4 Million

This player will be another playmaker along with Tamas Hajnal, 2 very skilled players.

Christian Gimenez-1.1 Million

He will be good rotation with Blaszykowski on the right, he can aslo play striker.

Khalid Boularouz-5 Million

The Former Chelsea Man was drafted in for the right back position, that needed strengthening.

Transfers out...

Lots of reserves left for other clubs on free transfers as they were no longer needed.

Cihan Kaptan-100k
