Good luck on your second season mates, will definately follow

Summer 2010

Transfers in round-up:

Nicolas Burdisso-Free
I am very pleased with this signing as I knew we had to bolster the defence. I snapped him up when he was on a free agent so I would not have to pay compensation
Signing rating 9/10

Diego Bounanotte-4 Million- River
Another good signing as he is a skilled player and deserves a place in the starting line-up, it will be interesting to see how he progresses.
Signing rating 8/10

Christian Gimenez-1.1 Million-Cruz Azul
He is a very young Right and Left Winger, and he can also play up front. He is another one who is one to look out for in the future.
Signing rating 8/10

Khalid Boularouz-5 Million-Stuttgart
Another addition to the defence. Our right back position was lacklustre and needed a new player. Khalid Boularouz is a good player and should fit the bill perfectly.
Signing rating 9/10

Jefferson Montero-1.3 Million-Villareal
Villareal had a buy out clause on him for 1.3 Million, and I just had to take them up on that. It is a good amount for him and he should do well.
Signing rating 7/10

Signings Out round-up:
Lots of reserves left the club as I did not need them on free's.

Marcel Hottecke-1.1 Million-Bochum
Possibly a potential supertar, but unlikely. 1.1 is a generous fee but I would take that anyday.
Sell Rating 8/10

Sven Bender-1.8 Million-Hertha BSC
He only played 7 games last season and 1.8 Million is a good offer for him. I may miss him but lets hope not.
Sell rating 9/10

Markus Feulner-1.5 Million-Espanyol
A very talented winger but unfortunatley, he had to go as we needed funds to buy Montero and we had enough wingers. I wish him well for the future.
Sell rating 5/10

Proper update maybe tomorrow, I have no time

Half-Season Update

Or then abouts, 6 games after the break to be precise. So first things first, Artem Milevskyi has been a sexy beast so far, netting almost 20 goals. It also appears to be last years babies Nuri Sahin and Marco Verratti have come of age, both of them featuring in my preferred starting lineup. A change of tactic this year has worked splendidly, putting us right in the fight for Europe.

Europe

Has been truly a walk in the park so far. Qualification went unexpectedly with a 13-6 aggregate victory over the Polish outift Zulte Waregem. Drawn in a relatively easy group, with FC Groningen, Lokomotiv Moscow, and minnows Basle, I expected us to progress. The group started awkwardly with a loss to Moscow, but we recovered to knock 10 past struggling Basle. We didn't drop any points from then on in, bar a 0-0 draw with Groningen. In the end, we finished with a completely ridiculous goal difference of +14.

Transfers

There were none, due to me not wanting to disrupt a finally consistent and talented team.

End Of Season Update

Fack, failure hurts. Not that this season was a failure. It's just so disappointing to be in the driving seat for Europe only for fixtures to pile up and fatigue crush your dreams. My Milevskyi inspired team went all the way to the Europa League final only for Marouane Fellaini to break our hearts in the dying moments with a wonder goal from about 25 yards.

League Review

This year, was by far an improvement on last year, and it saw us improve our league position by seven places. Not only that, but we could've eaasily finished fifth or fourth, only to fall at the final few hurdles. Sitting fifth in touching distance of fourth with four games left, we collected only one point in the remaining games, leaving us seventh. Honestly speaking though, I expected it when I saw our fixtures pile up towards the end of the season. Our run to the final of the Europa League left star players like Milevskyi and Subotic exhausted. In the end, I decided to rest them, and it backfired. I honestly think that it was the only thing I did wrong all year.

Europe

Can only be decribed as enthralling, I honestly surprised myself here. And we didn't take the easy route either. After dispatching of my beloved Rangers in the first knockout round, we faced Ajax in the second knockout round. Going down 2-0 in Amsterdam, I feared for our place in the competition. Then Milevskyi turned it on. As half-time loomed, he popped up with a header from close range to fire us into the lead. At half-time, I simply told the lads to go for it. They didn't disappoint. Imeddiately Milevskyi got his second from the edge of the area. Ajax weren't even in the game, and now the tie was even. Kiko Femenia, with 70 minutes on the clock then scored the goal that sent us through.

Next up were our countrymen Stuttgart, which was dubbed the battle of Germany by the media. After Stuttgart went one nil up 30 seconds in, I was very afraid. We fought back though, once again led by Milevskyi, who bagged an equaliser. Then Barrios scored. Then again. Then again. Thats right, 4-1 Barrios hattrick !! Semi-finals here we come !! But there was still a second leg, which we won comfortably 3-1. Next up were Celtic, my sworn enemy. There was no way in **** I was losing this. Rangelov seemed to feel the same way as me firing us into a 3-0 lead. A 1-1 draw saw us into the final. Then Everton broke my heart. After our disappointing finish in the league, I was hoping to win some silverware. Marouane Fellaini had other ideas, firing in a thunderbolt from 25 yards on the volley. Nonetheless, I will settle for second best this time.

Player Of the Season

Artem Mievskyi (Apps,47,Goals,26,Assists,16)

There really was no point in picking another candidate, he was awesome.

Young Player of the Season

Marco Verratti (Apps,16,Goals 2, Assists, 16)

There were times he was useless no doubt, but Verratti came of age this season with some sublime performances. Expect big things next season.

End Of Season 2010/2011

The League Campaign started off very badly, we sat 14th in the league mid way through October. Things seemed to get worse when Star Striker Lucas Barrios was injured at a similair time. Nelson Valdez was called in and impressed staright away. He scored 0.61 goals per game and got 20 goals in 34 games, which is pretty good and at the time, almost saved us from the drop. Another star player was Diego Bounanotte who was a new signing last summer. He picked up an average rating of 7.39. The partner for Nelson Valdez was Dimitar Rangelov, who also impressed with his 17 goals in 39 games as a shadow striker.

I was chuffed with this. Got through a tough group of Villareal, Birmingham and Luzern. I progressed to the next round, where I beat Galatasaray 5-3 on aggregate after beating them 3-2 in the first leg, I won 2-1 away. I then was drawn against Shakhtar, where I lost the home leg 1-0 but pulled it back and won the away 2-1 so I went through on away goals. Porto was unlucky. Lost the away leg 1-0. Came to the Signal-Iduna Park and was 2-1 up at half time, going out on away goals, so I went attacking, but they came out the winners
3-2.

I am deeply looking forward to next season

Ouch !! Thats must have taken a year to upload all them screenies XD Well done though mate, but remember I bet you in the Euro Cup :D

Pre Season 2011/2012

Signings in...
View attachment 89636
Overall I am pleased with all the signings I made. 2 good regens, Pablo Benitez and Ondrej Hanousek. 1 Defender joined, former HSV defender Jerome Boateng for 3.6 Million Pounds. I spotted Freddy Adu whilst looking for Midfielders and I saw him transfer listed, so I snapped him up. Willian from Shakhtar was drafted in for the weak left wing area. Deniz Naki came in for a cheap 2 million and I believe he has the potential to be almost as good as Lukas Barrios. And the final signing, Francesco Tavano was also bought for back-up up top.

Signings out...
View attachment 89637
Mohamed Zidan departed after only playing 4 games for the club last season. He went to 1860 for 1.1 million. Goalkeepers Roman Weidenfieller and Mark Ziegler departed on free's and I managed to tiedown Frederco Vilar before he left too. 19 year Old Lasse Sobiech departed also for 1.1 million to Bochum. Julian Koch went out on loan and Jefferson Montero, after a miserbale year at the club, departed to rivals Stuttgart for 3 Million. The Main transfer out howerver was Neven Subotic's tarnsfer to Fiorentina for 11.25 million Pounds, a good amount for the defender

Friendlies
View attachment 89638
Only 2 friendlies to talk about, the 2-0 win over Austria Wien and a 1-1 draw with Mainz

As KA5A8IAN is doing 6 monthly updates, I shall do them too.

---------------------------

The German Cup.........
Don't ask, please don't ask. I surpassed throught the fist round with a win against RB Liepzig, by 2 goals to 0. Lucas Barrios and Jerome Boateng scored the goals.
View attachment 89816
Isn't it funny how I drew the best team in Germany for the second round. I had a new tactic, an assymetric one, built around the team, and I went defensive, very defensive. For most of the match I had 11 men behind the ball. 45 minutes passed, still 0-0. 90 minutes passed, stil 0-0. And then a stunning top corner finish from Andriy Tymoschuk put Munich ahead, 8 minutes from the final whistle of extra time. Once again I was out early in my bogey tournament.

-------------------------------------------------

The League.....
We started off very badly. We had been as low as 15th place, but we crept back up, reaching 5th place at our peak. One of the reasons we started off poorly was the fact that Frederico Vilar was injured was a month at the start of the season, so we played under 18 keeper Johannes Focher, who actually played very well.
View attachment 89818
We have had some good results, but I would like bigger winning margins. We have had plenty of 1 goal wins. We have also had plenty of late goals, including 85th and 86th minute goals to help us beat Schalke 2-1.

Our top scorer in the league is Lucas Barrios, back on form after last years injury, he has got 6 in the league and 7 overall. Another goalscorer this season is regular Dimitar Rangelov, who has also got 6 in the league. New signing Francesco Tavano has been good backu, scoring 3 goals in 7 games.

Our other 3 top performers have been Jerome Boateng, Diego Bounanotte and Willian, who have been instumental in their respected positions.

Not too bad there, solid enough I guess. Might as well update soon if you've done yours. :)

Wheeler Dealer Teague picks up key players

Dortmund manager Matt Teague has brought in 2 free transfers in January. The 1st one is Pavel Pogrebynak, who previously played for Stuttgart and is a quick striker. The 2nd is top Goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who also came in as a free agent.

Matt Teague said:
I am very happy with these signings as they have come at a good time. Time to rise up the table. Akinfeev is a class goalkeeper and arguably one of the best in the world. Pavel is very pacy and will be perfect for our striker role.

A warning to some people, this may soon become only MJT's story, because my game appears to have died a death. We are tryinng to fix it, but our efforts may not be enough. :S

Pre-Season

Was short and sweet as usual. We played 3 games, and performed well against a reasonably high level of opposition.

Oberhausen 1-1 Dortmund

Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Dortmund

Fulham 1-2 Dortmund

So a few good results there. And now to the exciting part, signings :D

So as you can see, the window left us with one of the strongest frontlines in the league, a creative midfield, a solid defence, but a questionable goalie. All will be revealed next time :D

With deep regret, both I and KA5A8IAN, are announcing that this story can no longer continue. We both kind of forgot about it during our holidays, and have decided to call it a day. Thanks for following uys
