Hi!, So I've been needing a new save to get my teeth into however with fm 2016 looming and disclaimers fantastic chairmen game haven't manage to settle on one. So thought it might be fun to do an international fm story (they seem rare).

I was thinking as fans always bemoan of squad and tactic selection like I always do we could vote on big decisions (if story gets enough interest) and have us all try and bring england some glory! (if not enough interest i'll just give it a go and post!), thanks for reading :)

World Cup 2014: England knocked

out of World Cup

View attachment 237110

England are out of the Fifa World Cup thanks to Costa Rica's shock 1-0 defeat of Italy in Recife.

It is the first time they have been knocked out in the group stages since 1958 and the first time they have been eliminated after just two matches.
Roy Hodgson's side were beaten by Group D rivals Italy and Uruguay.

Former England defender Rio Ferdinand believes a lack of experience cost Hodgson's side, but thinks the tournament will be important for the development of their young players.

"Maybe England were a bit naïve”

from the Brazil World Cup 2014 calls for

Hodgson to be sacked

‘I’m still the best man for the job’ replies Hodgson in a press conference

‘You don’t know what you’re doing!’ bellows the England fans

An FA statement read: "The Football Association can confirm that Roy Hodgson has today left his role of head coach for England manager by mutual consent."

“The FA are currently seeking a coach with an attacking philosophy to take over and develop youngsters in the squad to help achieve the minimum target of reaching the quarter finals”.

Gary Lineker wants an English manager, for the England job. Here's a tweet from the sofa-dwelling MOTD presenter. "As you ask, I think new man should be English. Players have to be, so should boss.

Harry Redknapp rules himself out of England job

“no no no, it’s not for me, I think it is a job where somebody has got to go in and do it full-time I couldn’t do that with my dogs they need walking everyday and with my knee not do-able”

“We Want the Job! England Fans Cry None of these guys knows what they are doing“

“We want one of us in charge”

“Save us a fortune”

“We need a real Englishman in charge to get the passion across”

English F.A sit down to discuss potential candidates

“So we’re looking for a young coach with an attacking philosophy that can keep a blue-print at all levels to help us be able to compete with the top countries again”

“yea we couldn’t really live with the shame if wales over took us in the national rankings could we?

Laughs…

“someone out of contract and English would be desirable too”

The board thinks…

“Rodgers? Not English, but he is British manages a big team has an attacking philosophy works well with young players”

“never won a trophy, big contract to pay out besides has he even done that well? I don’t think he’s ready”

“howe? We all know what a young talented guy he is”

“ruled himself out”

“pardrew? Palace want a massive payout for him he’s not worth it”

Time passes…

“What if we took a punt on someone then? We get a young English guy who has a philosophy for the way he wants the team built, maybe he doesn’t have a load of experience but with time and development might be just what were after! Keep the fans happy and save us some money”

*nods of approvals come from across the board especially in regards to savings*

“so then we thinking ex-international? Carragher, Neville, owen?”

“do they have all their badges yet?”

“errrr…”

“EN-GER-LAND EN-GER-LAND EN-GER-LAND!!!”

In a shock twist of events the F.A have caved into the demands of the general public and have hired an unknown but qualified England fan to manage the England team.

The general public will vote (you!) on squad selection, team selection and formation while England fan takes control of the general day to day business.

I'd probably be the guy who laughs after the Wales bit as I am Welsh. :p

I'm not going to join, being in a rival country of the English, but I have 1 tip.
DO NOT PICK GLEN JOHNSON.

On my Barca save im also the England manager took over in 2023 and won the World Cup in 2026, the obvious key players are Sterling and AOC but also Josh Murphy from Norwich was a big deal for England when i took charge. good luck

Interesting idea mate. Will follow and help make big decisions :p

will follow and help as I support england in the world cup

cheers all lets win the euro's! without glen johnson xD

First things first Formation please see the poll and vote bear in mind this tactic is going to be used on youth side aswell

according to fm going by best position's we have no natural wing backs only accomplished only one player best position is an AMC (barkley) and only huddlestone best position is DM while all the others are CM

This is a big decision lads so think carefully haha

mynationalteam.co.uk :p

Interesting idea!

So we start with backroom changes out goes the under 19's physio Scott Gormley (physiotheraphy 12) and assistant manager Ray Lewington.

In comes a few new english coaches all specialised in certain areas attacking, fitness and tactics with carl laraman coming in as assistant manager.

[h=1]England: Frank Lampard retires after winning 106 caps[/h] View attachment 236976

Frank Lampard has announced his retirement from international football.

The midfielder, who joined Manchester City in the summer on loanfrom New York City, played his final England game as captain in the 0-0 draw against Costa Rica at the World Cup in June.
The former Chelsea man, 36, was capped 106 times in a career dating back to October 1999 and follows Steven Gerrard into international retirement.
"It has been a very tough decision for me to make," Lampard said.
"That is why I have given it so much thought since the World Cup.

We ask for england manager England Fan on his viewpoint

"we thank frank for his services, he's been a huge england icon, now is the time to look forward and with both gerrard and lampard's international career coming to an end there are places up for grabs"

Ok Fans!

cheers for all who have voted so far keep them coming!

atm looks like 4-2-3-1 is the gonna be our tactic with 4-3-3 as back up.

Our first match is a friendly against Ecuador so its the first time to get some training in on our tactics so first off what do we think, do we want any changes?

Also I've picked the first squad for the friendly, fraser foster is injured so he cant be picked other than that get your caps on for you want picked/dropped for our first euro qualifier against slovenia!

As much as I can't stand the man, keep Rooney for now. No reason to upset squad harmony...
