Be a shame when the 'host' Nation goes out Tuesday in the style of a Mexico hosting a tournament.

To call this tournament format idiotic is an understatement of the century. I think this calculation includes the travel for the 1/16 game because Spain played all of their games in Seville, while everybody else in the group had to travel 3000 miles to Petersburg and back.

I have them in the final looking at that half of the draw. Not that this is a great German side. But its the Germans. And they live for knock-out tournament football.

The seedings are mad. Completely lopsided bracket.

I fancy the Italians personally, however, other than them the rest of the qualifiers are as much as a muchness Spain lack something to truly stand out, Germany aren't the force they were, France blow hot or cold, Netherlands play a good game but are open to make mistakes, of the rest the dark horses imho are Denmark they have a real reason to do well after what happened whether it is enough to get them to the final is debateable however.
