New arrivals arrive.

Five players join Newcastle United today and all the new arrivals bring something new to the team. We can now welcome Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Luiz Gustavo (Wolfsburg), Inigo Martinez (Barcelona), Gerard Deulofeu (Barcelona) and Wilfried Zaha (Man Utd). We are glad to welcome these signings and will be able to join the team immediately for pre season and we hope they have great Newcastle careers to help us move forward.

Rossi returns home!

Just a couple of lines coming out of the Atleti Azurri d’Italia this afternoon, which confirms to us that Giuseppi Rossi is to join the Atalanta revolution. The move sees him return to Italy. The player himself is quoted as saying “I’m here to win trophies. The sooner the better.”

A sign of intent from the new chairman, and Atalanta fans must be in good spirits.

Go easy on the auld inbox today I am not well, transfer window shuts at 5.30 tomorrow any prospective new chairman who have not got back in touch with me by then will not be allowed in the game to next season

Young left back joins Newcastle

Today we can confirm the SEVENTY FIVE million deal of Luke Shaw from Southampton, the 19 year old has made impressive strides since making his competitive debut two years ago. Jake Robinson said "This is my last deal, it was a really a deal that cost way too much but he is an excellent player and I enjoy to see him play" He was also asked whether he thought he would struggle with the hefty price tag "Yes I think it will add pressure but Jose is a very good coach as well as a manager and he will help young Luke take that pressure off him and let him succeed."

Luke speaking to the press ahead of his new move "I can't believe my transfer has broke records when I made my debut as a 16 year old I never believed this would happen, I am now playing for one of the best clubs in England and I will enjoy my time here"

So with Luke Shaw in that is now the 6th signing and our journalist asked Jake "this is our 6th signing although you said we will make 2-3 additions, is there a reason why we added many more?" Jake responded "2-3, 5-6 it's the same thing really isn't it"

Just so everyone knows and I should have said this from the outset but I really didn't think someone would get to the point of having 1 million left in the bank. You go over your budget no more signings till your club is affluent again. If it gets to the point where you are in serious financial difficulty it is game over and you are out of the game! Just so you are all aware ;)

Also mass release of reserves and youth team players are no longer possible I will do it for first teamers or people in your under 21's who are over the age 23 ( the age cut off to play u21 football) or if you are asking for 5-6 players I will do that too, it is your responsibility to set budgets and look after the running of your club not mine so plan carefully. Also given my time constraints right now its taking the **** and I will flat out refuse. Don't mean to be so up front I just want everyone to know where they stand

Wow I would love to look at your finances. I can imagine gaining Champions league football has helped fund this move but thats an incredible amount of money. You balance must be quite low now I can imagine.

Atalanta Gossip

Some interesting thoughts being attributed to the Atalanta chairman today, who has been quoted as suggesting that the price paid by Newcastle for Luke Shaw was "absolutely ludicrous". Mr Fish is suggested to have said that "whilst Shaw is a decent player, he doesn't command that price at all. I could buy a team for that, in fact I practically did! What a waste of money."

Interesting thoughts from the seemingly quiet chairman, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the footballing world responds to this record breaking transfer.

Roberts wonders why Newcastle have paid 75m for Shaw

"Yeah, Shaw will be a great player but WHY pay 75m for him? He will be worth 30-40m, but he will never be worth that much. I think the Newcastle chairman is BONKERS by doing this."

I guess I have about 20 something left, no more signings and not even for manager now, I'm just trying to build a squad capable of reaching top 4 regularly and then I cut down to 1-3 quality players or just leave it for manager to do it but I'm no longer risking my clubs situation anymore haha
