Flores calls Robinson a hypocrite

In another twist to the ongoing conflict between Flores and Robinson, Everton chairman Gonzalo Flores has called Jake Robinson a hypocrite in what he has said about Everton.

"Robinson has come out and said that if the tables were turned he would wish me good luck and feels as though I have been disrespectful to both him and Newcastle. However in the same statement he then decides to say that I am "stuck with little old Everton" which is quite simply a disrespectful lie. Robinson may have stated that he has moved to Roma for a "change of scenery" but I dont believe this and I believe he has run to Roma to avoid the competition that is growing the Premier league as no one would willingly leave the greatest league in world football to go to a second rate league with very little competition at every level."

Serie A a better league

War of words isn't ending here between the Everton and Roma chairman as Everton claimed that Robinson is a hypocrite and he said this in return

"I am not a hypocrite, it wasn't disrespectful it is a fact, they are trying to be a big club, they're not. I remember beginning of last season that he said Everton would finish higher than Newcastle, so really what we all need to do is just take his comments with a pinch of salt. And I can't handle a big league? No I can I joined a bigger league with some of the best clubs that have ever graced this planet: Roma, Juventus, Napoli, Milan and Inter for example are all great clubs even Fiorentina are. Overall the leagues in England may be more competitive and maybe Serie B maybe the equilavent of League 1 football but top tier in both leagues are very very close. In my opinion Serie A is better and if there was never a match fixing scandal this league would be way more popular. I will help Italy create a better reputation again"

Jim White (Sky Sports News): Joshua O'Driscoll has backed Everton chairman's comments claiming that 'Robinson is wrong to criticize Flores of unprofessional behaviour when he himself has called Everton a small club.'

Vinny O'Connor has more on this story, what can you tell us Vinnie!?

Well Jim I have a few quotes from Joshua O'Driscoll's recent press conference, and when he was asked about the feud between the two chairman's, this is what he had to say:

"Robinson is wrong to criticize Flores of unprofessional behaviour when he himself has called Everton a small club.

"Newcastle fans have a right to feel angered about Robinson, a chairman just simply cannot leave a club in this state. Newcastle fans deserve to be in a better position than 12th in the league and they also deserve to have a chairman who is capable of better investment in young players. The £75M fee they paid for Luke Shaw is a disgrace.

"I can promise all Benfica fans that I will never follow in Robinson's footsteps and leave this great club until I have achieved everything that this club deserves. I want this club to be a success story. I do not care about money, I do not care about fame, I care about this great club and what it stands for."

So as you can see Joshua O'Driscoll had a lot to say on Jake Robinson switching clubs, and we suspect there will be more to come from all three chairman's. Back to you Jim!

looking good

Im here at this time with Vincent Kennedy Mcmahon the owner of VFB Stuttgart.

How do you feel about the way your team as started?

Well so far im very happy with my manager Christian Streich he as brought in Jonathan De Guzman is only signing so far and he seems to be doing a good job when called upon. im a bit dissapinted a certain few players haven't yet been given the opportunity i feel they deserve but im sure this will be rectifyed before the end of the season. I feel that our position in the league shows that we have a great opportunity to finish in the top 4 which as always been my goal for the season with only 7 games being played we are top of the league by a point. im not going to get too over enthused as of yet as it is the narrowest of leads. i will now pass you onto Mr Striech.

I am extremely happy with the start the players have made our only disappointing performance so far coming against Gladbach on the first day of the season where we lost in a poor performance by just the one goal.
we have had two 3.0 victories one against Kasierslaughten and another aginst mainz also a 2.1 victory over Schalke one of the Richest clubs in the league bought out last season. A 1.1 draw with Bayern Munich the German powerhouse for many years who are evry much off the pace and 1.0 wins against Freiburg and Frankfurt. we did also lose in the German Cup 2nd round against HSV this we are not too bothered about as the league start as been sufficent.

Mr Streich how far do you feel this team can go?

As Mr Mcmahon as said we are aiming for the top four and our objective is to remain grounded we have a great team of talented individuals who make a formidable team but we need to focus on the top 4 anything more will be an added bonus. For now we are very happy but we are very weary of Dortmund, Leverkusen, Hoffenheim, Bayern Munich, Schalke and 1860 Munich they are all very good teams and we will need to stay focused to finish ahead of them all. we thank you at this time.

It seems Mr Mcmahon as one thing to add.

I would like to add that i think it is disgracful that the New Roma Manager and old Newcastle manager as said that he as moved to a better league leaving the Premier League for the Serie A i beleive all the main leagues in europe have equal merit and i dont think that one legaue is better then any other and i beleive it would be best for business if these comments were not made in future.

I'm not the bad guy

A statement just now from Jake's website says "I've been unfairly treated, I move to a new club and I get a bucket load of abuse from everyone but Newcastle fans, I have received nothing but praise from the Newcastle base. It is other guys that have a vendetta against me. I understand that people may be frustrated and people outside the club may think I have left Newcastle in danger, but people I have not. They are in a sound position financially, ask this to yourselves now if Newcastle were financially unstable would I sanction a massive transfer for a player? And if the new owner doesn't sell Luke they could end up with around 15 years of great service is that really so bad then? I have left the club in a good position and in good hands. I have gave them a fantastic squad to build from, I have gave them Champions League football and I have injected a lot of time, effort and money over the last 12 months at the club.

Look this is not to an attempt to start a fight but a plea, a plea for everyone to see I am not the bad guy, I will not leave Roma after a year. Roma is for the long haul, I apologise to the Premier League. You are a fantastic league but I stick with my opinion. I apologise to Newcastle, for leaving you so soon after joining. I apologise to Everton my comments were irrational and I deeply regret that. But that other owner, the guy that said all leagues are equal? I laugh at that. How ridiculous, firstly I ask you to respond to this, since all leagues are equal the Welsh Premier Division is at the same level as La Liga, Yes? No wrong. The Scottish Premier is that at the same level as the Bundesliga? I'll let you answer that one. Your comments were poor, Serie A is better than the Premier League in MY opinion but it is not the best league in Europe. That is all for this week in my blog. I again apologise to Newcastle for selling up so early but that is of the past now and now my present and future is with Roma. Forza Roma.

'Robinson cannot handle the heat'

Controversy surrounding Jake Robinson's shock switch to Serie A club Roma continues, as Benfica chairman has claimed 'Robinson cannot handle the heat from the other Chairman's'.

Natalie Sawyer (Sky Sports News): We have just heared word that S.L. Benfica Chairman, Joshua O'Driscoll, has claimed that Robinson 'cannot handle the heat', Vinnie [O'Connor], what can you tell us!?

Well I can tell you right now that Joshua O'Driscoll has laid down a very critical statement about the former Newcastle man, just after his previous claim in which he told us 'Jack Robinson is wrong to criticize Flores of unprofessional behaviour', here is the latest on what Joshua O'Driscoll told us in his recent Benfica press conference, in which again he was asked about Jack Robinson claiming that he is not 'the bad guy':

"Robinson cannot handle the heat from the other Chairman's, his recent statements have shown that he is trying to play very defensive by taking back his remarks made to Everton FC.

"Why couldn't he promise Newcastle fans that he is in it for the 'longhaul'? If I was a Roma supporter I wouldn't read too much into his comments.

"I think he has to issue an apology for his unacceptable behaviour, and also issue an apology to Everton Football Club."

So it seems the controversy surrounding Jake Robinson is reaching boiling point. Back to you Natalie!

Sky Sports News

In the wake of apparent unending criticism of Jake Robinson following his move to Roma, he has found support in an unlikely source; the Atalanta chairman, Mr Fish. Mr Fish argues that " he can move if he chooses to, it's his money. I can't understand why the other premier league chairman are whining about it, they have a better chance at the title! Of course, Mr Robinson won't actually win anything with Roma, we'll be doing the winning, but he has joined the best league in the world at present. We have the champions league winners, and now 4 major super clubs. The power is in Italy, the sooner the others realise this, the better.

SSN Germany

It looks like Robinson has another supporter in former rival Lewie Roberts. "He can move if he wants to. He has the money to buy a, in my opinion, better team and now Serie A will be AWESOME! Italy will be in the top 2 with Bundesliga and the BPL will fall! Personally, I wish him good luck for the future."

Well, ATM:

PSG Owner couldn't give a dam about Newcastle or Robinson!!

Sky Sports: "We were speaking to PSG owner earlier, about the Newcastle/Robinson saga earlier, who had this to say!

Matt Smith: "This pointless bickering..."

"Newcastle are a small club and Robin or Roberta, whatever her name is...is a nobody!

"The only thing that matters is PSG, our OIL money and IBRA! Nothing else matters!!"

"If you disagree with me...then I shall buy all your best players, throw them in the reserves and move on! For we are PSG and our money is FINAL!!"

Sky Sports: "Ok..."

"You just going to walk off...Oh, ok, bye then!"

"Seems Matt couldn't care less about any drama, if it is not connected with PSG!"

Bolton chairman Dave has hit out at departing Newcastle chairman jake Robinson after his comments about the premier league.

@boltondave: can't believe what I'm hearing, if he wants to leave that's his choice but he should at least admit he couldn't handle the challenge of the true best league. Our league has the most fans worldwide for a reason,Italy would be lucky to be considered in the top 5 leagues in the world behind- England,Spain,Germany and the French league are all 10x better- let Italy Fight it out for 5th with the championship etc. he's a quitter. A born quitter, and quitting is one thing I don't like or do. This is why I'm a winner and he's a loser. He'll get nice food over in Italy but a better challenge? He'll run away from there too if he does.

Hello and welcome to Gol T's weekly Liga BBVA update, i'm Eduardo Ramos and we are going to start this episode with a interview with the Betis Chairman.

-That's right, my name is Juan Garcia, and standing by my side, Kevin Berg!
What are your comments about this season?

-No losses, which is good, but only three wins. Pep made some poor transfers in, but the worst part is he sold Keylor Navas for 2m! So if you add all that up, i'm not happy.
-But Guardiola's job, is it safe?
-No.
-Are Guardiola going to be sacked?
-Yes.
-Who is the new manager?
-We are working on it, but probably Ramon Martinez.
-Last year you said Betis was going to be a leading force, so why don't you employ a famous manager?
-Martinez was a brilliant Head of Youth Development, and will be a fantastic manager.
-Yeah, good luck with that...But what are your comments about the Robinson-Drama?
- I'm with Jake on this one, he went from Newcastle to Roma, a much bigger and better club.
- Th final question, how do you get the money to run the greatest football club on earth?
-I own a bank, Goliath National Bank.
- OK, thats all i need, thank's for the interview.
