I have a nice shortlist of players to bring in, mostly english too. Already bid on 3 players (managed to ship out a fair few players on the last day of the transfer window to raise funds). Once i've finished with the squad it won't be near the quality yours had, but it'll be alot smaller, cheaper and still should compete for every trophy.

GC, does the seating capacity help the finances, like in terms of profit, cuz its a 96k seater

Looking over the finances the income in general seems really high. Club rep is worldwide which will help alot.

tbfh, its rare to get some reall good, like 3.5 -4 star, english regen. some of them even hard to get, cuz they are in rival clubs.

i really dont mind, but the fashion of getting 'English' kinda is a time waster imo. i was lucky to get both Parkinson and ben butler, since they came from Leicester and Sunderland respectivly., and also Jon Francis, from man city. i sign him at 16, so that was convenient, and the rivalry is pretty dim, but they are a real good team in this save. as if i have to go get from rival, i might have to pay over the odds, or it simply wont happen.


but dont get me wrong, i do hunt for some of them, it jsut the numbers are rare and low. spain, brazil, france, and argentina top the best regen making.

Im now only £85,000 in the red. At the end of the season there was £48m investment from the board :D. Rodwell, Neymar, Pastore & Gibbs have just retired that will help get the wage bill down. However I have sold a large number of players so will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Ok here's an update on my save.

The average age of my staff is like early 40s. Compared to the OP's that were all 50-60+ years old.

With the money I made on transfer deadline day and adjusting the wage budget, here's the players I bought (most coming at the end of the season). They're not world class by any means, but you don't need a world class player in every position to win trophies, just a few that you build the team around. They'll form the young british core for my team (I just like buying british, even though it has little advantage in-game :P) and i'll look for some foreign stars to add as well. Some of them might look quite poor but apart from subs the backup players I use are always youngsters as they never moan about lack of football. I think the highest wage I gave out to these players was 40k p/w, and the highest transfer fee of the lot was 15m.

Oh and also as far as competitions go. Top of the table now. League cup final vs everton (was pretty easy as the save started after a 3-0 semi final first leg win by the OP). Went out of the FA cup to chelsea after a replay match, and just beat sampdoria away 7-1 in the first leg of the last 16.

wow it's amazing how you lose so much money EVERY day. Just sold two players for about 60M and debts still kept going up...

staff wages are just insane, and are probably the biggest culprit here

should put this in the challenges section too!

Just got to the end of the season and had a major clearout. Wages down to around 1.2m a week (but that includes sanogo's 215k and a few other players I can't get rid of).

Had to pay over the odds for Mele, since there seems to be a real lack of young quality wingers. Probably due to there only being 1 playable league. Adding leagues whenever in FM12 will be a welcome feature :)

wloy **** man. so u fired Cesc :( dude was a club legend, and i anted him to stay like forever in club backroom staff. sigh.


but holy ****, u just made a revolution in the club, firing foreigners, and bringing in english. :P

and interesting to see marc albrighton, who i adored when i was the english manager before. ahahha

alexanzdre zubar was suppose to be like a pastore and cesc replacement.

and how the heck u let sanitabo go. 40m is okay, but really is not acceptible. by doing that, it means that u better make Fidan ur no. 1.

sign. its a good step really, with 200m+ in transfers profit, but i think ur really took it too a more drastic change.

as of me , myself, i think i might update stuff within next week, as i have other commitments to make. if it true, then hopefully both neymar and rodwell will retire the same time as pastore and gibss are. not sure off hiring them, but maybe in the future.

Yeah :P I never really keep players on as staff. As by the time they retire at like 35 they're pretty ****, and as staff they demand pretty high wages (if they were top players like cesc).

Well they were all on much higher wages than I wanted so I replaced them. The aim was just to get the club money (i'm only 30m in the red now) and then I can build up the quality again without going over the top on wages. Once I get rid of sanogo & a few players that are just on loan the wages will come down to about 950k p/w.

I let fidan go too :P Wasn't going to but he was making a few mistakes thanks to his eccentricity so I replaced him with a 21 year old argentine beast.

I'll post again at the end of this next season. My team needs some serious gelling but I still expect to win the league and maybe a trophy or two.

Oh and so far this season, won the community shield 2-1 vs chelsea, the euro super cup 3-2 vs united, and 4 points from my first 2 league games (the draw was away to united). Good start :)

Mine was going through the 'worse before it gets better' phase before I stopped. I'll be busy for a while, so don't wait up on it.

i know, it is fear u know. like i dont know hwta team that regen went, but might be costly.
but what hes dont is great, no doubt. he just took the annexation to a whole new lvl. XD

Having a headache reading that tbh.

Danyul's doing a good job. Nothing short of the FM equivalent of a wrecking ball would sort that team out, and he's done it well so far.

and now the Axing begins. well rodwell, gibs, neymar, pasotre are retiring at the end of season. so they'll be game, and a few people will be on the verge. tison, martins, mainly. im considering of selling fassi, since he decent only in the wings. -sigh-.

im sad couldnt win the epl, as sunderland were just too strong and amazing.
