Week 22

Newcastle vs Man Utd
Back on the road after two big wins at Old Trafford. As i keep saying im hoping were building momentum to get on a long unbeaten run.

Newcastle 2-1 Man Utd
View attachment 314951
This was the worst dropped 3 points of the season. Up till half time we were destroying the Toon at St james park and held a 1 goal lead. In the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half Newcastle scored twice one allowed one not so we had to keep plugging away. Proved to be a daft move as fate or a man im really growing to dislike Phil Jones was given his marching orders again and as we reorganise Newcastle took the lead. Had a few chances towards the end but let down by discipline again!

Our defeat was not as devastating as it may have been thanks to Man City holding nearest rivals Chelsea to a draw & Stoke for thumping Spurs 5-2. The big winners were Arsenal who beat Southampton by the old 1-0 to the Arsenal.

FA Cup 4th Round
Man Utd 2-2 Huddersfield

Had this been the 1930's it would have been a good result. Anytime since would be considered a let down but i'd chalk this up as an embarrassing result. Falcao, Fellaini & Carrick really let the 71,000 home fans down. On the plus side extra cash for the bank and a extra game for the kids.

Week 23

Everton Vs Man Utd
Everton have taken the roll of 5th place through the poor start of Liverpool & Man City

Everton 3-1 Man Utd
View attachment 314936
Disapline cost us again! Players told to stay on there feet, nobody getting tackled hard. But to be fair at the point of the red card we were 3-1 down and playing very poorly as we loose our league.

Chelsea & Arsenal played mid week to jump us in the table and with 2 wins each we fell behind the London teams to 3rd having thrown away the huge lead we had in December.

FA Cup 4th Round Replay
Hudderfield 3-3 Man Utd - Huddersfield win 4-1 on Pens

No words can sum up how **** we played. 20 shots from a diddy team!

Transfer Window

My main rivals make the biggest deals. Tottenham signed Ukrainian winger Roman Zozulya for £10.75m, Arsenal picked up Porto's midfielder Hector Herrera for just over £7m and Chelsea added Newcastle wing back Davide Santon

Man Utd only buy one player 16 year old wonderkid Martin Odegaard from Stromsgodset.

Week 24

Man Utd Vs Arsenal
A team on the rise comes up from London to visit a side on the slide. United form since Christmas has been attrocious and has seen a 11 points swing between the teams in one month.

Man Utd 2-2 Arsenal
View attachment 314888
Not the desired result especially after throwing away our 1st minute lead. Sub Ander Herrera got us the point which was the very least we deserved.

Table

Chelsea took full advantage of the other title contenders drawing at Old Trafford as did Spurs who are back to within a win of the top 3.

**** this time difference. Last time I checked you where sitting pretty 5 points clear at the top, wake up this morning & you've dropped to 3rd (all be it with a game in hand).

I have some catching up to do!

Were playing so bad, Like watching the real thing!

Week 25

Leicester Vs Man Utd
The home side are stuck in the bottom 3 with distance to survival only 3 points but with only 20 goals so far this season even our dodgy defense in recent times may get a easier day

Leicester 0-4 Man Utd
View attachment 314872
Easy is a overused word and its not one i'll use here. We kinda had it in the bag at half time with a 2 goal lead but it wasnt till Ashley Young got the 3rd i felt comfortable. I'll say it again time for a change of form!

Table
View attachment 314871
Liverpool did us all a favor today by holding Chelsea at Stamford Bridge so if we win our game in hand the gap will be down to 1 point. Arsenal & Spurs both won too.

Week 26

Man Utd vs QPR

So here is our game in hand. More a must win that the usual match. QPR have been surprisingly competative and are on the verge of a top 10 place.

Man Utd 4-1 QPR
View attachment 314829
Shame we had to concede a goal right on half time. That made the second half a bit tougher than it should have been but wont complain as a wins a win and this one has us 1 point behind Chelsea and right back in the fight.

Table
View attachment 314828
As i've said everywhere were now 1 point behind Chelsea and what a fight were in for for the title now. 12 to go and 3 points between the top 3 with Spurs only 1 win further back.

Week 27

Man Utd vs Stoke
Revenge is on mind! They beat us early on in the season and if ever there was a time to get revenge its now!

Man Utd 3-1 Stoke
View attachment 314409
No problems. Stoke tried to make it interesting with a goal mid way through the second half but Van Persie scored again to settle the nerves before full time. Pogba's injury is the only downside as we were getting close to having my best 11 fit He and Rooney were ruled out for about a month.

Table

If we end up taking the title we will look back at game day 27 with much glee. Chelsea & Tottenham drew which as well as being the best result it puts us top. Arsenal lost at St James park then to put the cherry on top Man City were beaten by relegation zone side Burnley giving them a huge challenge to reach the Champions League

Week 28

Swansea Vs Man Utd
Things have not got any better for the welsh side. I expected replacing Gary Monk with Sean Dyche they would move on to safety but there has been no improvement in form or league position

Swansea 4-2 Man Utd
View attachment 314371
We we lasted long on top! This has to be the final straw. must do over this tactic for when im on the travels. Cant quite grasp whats going wrong as were totally dominting the games but are being unfairly punished on away games.

Table

Chelsea beat Hull by a goal to nil to return to the top. Arsenal win at QPR & Liverpool again help out the top 3 by holding Spurs to a 1-1 draw. Man City won 5-0 and are now only 6 points behind Spurs and the final Champions League spot. Elsewhere Liverpool & Everton have work to do to take a European spot, Both are behind Newcastle just now. At the bottom Sunderland look doomed 10 points off safety and rooted to the bottom. Next up are Leicester on 21 while Burnley & Swansea are tied on 26 5 points behind the trio of Capitol One Cup winners Southampton, West Ham & Aston Villa.

Week 29

Man Utd Vs Man City
A good old fashioned Manchester Derby to try ad lift the mood, or ruin our league challenge.

Man Utd 2-1 Man City
View attachment 314361
Two goals from two attacks was the difference between the in form and out of form Manchester teams. To be fair we have been amazing at home this season so was no surprise we had the best of the game to put us back in the hunt for the Championship and put them further away from Champions league action.

Table
View attachment 314360
Chelsea played earlier due to Champions League and they lost at St Marys, if only in real life but wait this helps me more!!!! Arsenal yet to play but if they win its 3 points between the top 3 with Tottenham just behind.

Week 30

West Brom Vs Man Utd
Despite my complaints were 3rd in the table for away form so maybe its not been as bad as i've let on. Still were making changes to tighten up the ship

West Brom 0-2 Man Utd
View attachment 314350
First half was a bit hard a close affair but we had the back door closed shut. The game a tactic experiment ended when Claudio Yacob got sent off on the 54th minute after that we went back to the normal tactic and totally dominated them, had it not been for Pogba putting so many efforts over it may have been a cricket score.

Table
View attachment 314349
Top 2 both win 2-0 while Arsenal slipped up and drew with West Ham letting Tottenham move above them to 3rd. With there fate all but sealed Martin Jol was sacked by Sunderland

Youth Players
View attachment 314348View attachment 314347
Two youth players of note join the U18s

Week 31

Man Utd VS Sunderland
Fresh from sacking there 2nd manager of the season they come up against the free scoring league leaders.

Man Utd 4-0 Sunderland
View attachment 314334
****** Phil Jones again! we were absolutely cruising and on the warpath for more goals when he got sent off putting a end to our charge. Still we got the 3 points i expected and its onwards ad upwards to the next one.

Table

Arsenal may have just played there way out of the title hunt with a home defeat to almost relegated Leicester. Now 10 points off top spot and only a game in hand to play with.

well done on what looks like a good season so far I like what you have done with the transfers

i got a 95th min winner against city in the league cup final. proper old school united style. iv got the video on my thread. like you iv just signed pogba, got him for 5o million, needed to add a marquee signing after missing out on the title on the last day of the season. di maria is top on it, got me a screamer from about 35 yards, i put it on my youtube channel. as a united fan im looking forward to following your career.

Adressing the obvious problem at United for the past 10 years the Midfield with Pogba a win now option adding Tielemans is a long term option!

He is worth every penny, he has the lot and is still so young. You will get at least 12 years out of him. What role do you play him as?

Usually Box to box or deep lying playmaker depending on the opposition

Week 32

Chelsea Vs Man Utd
Possible title decider here. Winner ends the day top. Not a great day to be trying out your away formation

Chelsea 2-0 Man Utd
View attachment 314290
Still much work to do on a solid away formation it seems. Chelsea won by only 2 some how to go top. Van Persie out for 2 weeks was the exclimation point on a bad day at the office.

Table
View attachment 314289
Chelsea move 2 points clear with 8 to go. Totteham drew at home to Burnley while Arsenal won at Stoke. Shouldnt be more than a 2 horse race now however. Ian Holloway takes over at Sunderland just in time to take them down officially. Our next two games now become massive. Home to Liverpool who have been nicking points from all the contendors then away to Tottenham. Despite working some Champions League action Chelsea's only tough game is Arsenal away.

Chelsea, ruined my first season in charge. I was top of the table all year then they did this.
