Week 33

Man Utd Vs Liverpool
The best or the worst thing to have a derby game after a very shallow performance against Chelsea. Liverpool need a results to start going there way if there to be in Europe next year.

Man Utd 5-0 Liverpool

View attachment 314275

This was the day the our star attacking players were all fit and firing. Even our defenders got the goals with 2 goals from our defenders scoring 2 and liverpools scoring one as if we needed the help.

TableView attachment 314274

Top 4 all won quit easily except Spurs who had to fight to take points from Palace. With only the top 6 going into europe Man City & Everton are looking good for the Europa League with Liverpool & Newcastle missing out.

Week 34

Tottenham Vs Man Utd
Our away record recently has been pathetic and against Chelsea it was almost men against boys. After last week i think we need to keep going with our attacking ways against a team that is in the battle for 3rd place but almost let slip against Crystal Palace just a few days ago.

Tottenham 1-3 Man Utd
View attachment 313828
Although this could have been almost any away game except for the Chelsea one result wise it couldnt have been timed better. Falcao gave us the 3rd minute lead with Soldado quickly bringing Spurs level. Pogba put us ahead soon after then the match was on a knife edge till Pogba who i've seen sky the ball repeatedly this season hit a 2nd in the last 10 minutes to give us a massive win

Table

Chelsea overcame a faltering Newcastle team to keep there 2 point lead at the top. It is now a 2 way fight for the title as Arsenal missed the chance to take advantage of Spurs defeat as they tie for 3rd. Man City & Everton both drew and let Liverpool into the fight for top 6. At the bottom with 4 games left Sunderland & Leicester is just waiting to go down and they will probably be joined by Swansea or Burnley.

you have the top scorer, top 4 average ratings and top 2 assisters yet aint top.................

GOOD!!!

GOOD!!!

If Phil Jones could avoid getting sent off and the defense was a bit, well a lot better i'd have won the title by now

Week 35

Man Utd Vs Hull City
Hull are in the unfortunate position of being all but done for the season while Man Utd are in win and hope Chelsea screw up.

Man Utd 5-1 Hull
View attachment 313817
We walked over the team as expected. Rojo and Van Persie had us 3 goals ahead and in control before the half hour when i decided to rest players by taking a breather and subbing some star players early on. Young player of the future Youri Tielemans got his first Man Utd goal. Only downside was Adnan Januzaj getting injured and possibly missing the rest of the season.

Table

Chelsea won again and are now only 3 wins away from the title. Tottenham were held to a draw at Villa while Arsenal do what they can to loose 3rd place as there beaten at home by West Brom! Man City look safe in 5th while Everton, Liverpool & Newcastle still fight over 6th.

Week 36

Southampton Vs Man Utd
I would say of our final 3 games this is the most likely to go wrong. The Saints have met mid table expectations having missed Graziano Pelle out injured for so long. Already in Europe thanks to the League Cup win they surely wont be trying to hard today?

Southampton 1-1 Man Utd
View attachment 313659
A close game that could have gone either way ended as a draw and with Chelsea winning probably ends our title challenge. Perhaps i didnt go attacking enough at the end but its all ifs and buts. We need Chelsea to dropp points in both of there final games to take the title.

Table
View attachment 313658
Its all in Chelsea's hands now. Win either game and they have the title. Tottenham have a point lead over Arsenal after they both won. Man City secure 5th and Liverpool jump Everton to 6th. One point between Burnley & Swansea in the relegation battle.

Week 37

Man Utd Vs Burnley
I expect a walkover here but will have a eye and a half on the Arsenal Vs Chelsea

Man Utd 4-0 Burnley

View attachment 313591
Our most dominant performance of the season so far to stay in touch.

Table
View attachment 313590
Arsenal did us a favor and held Chelsea in a thrilling 3-3 draw which puts Spurs on the verge of 3rd place. 1 point would do it. Everton are equally as strong in the fight for 6th. Swansea & Burnley will go into a final day fight for a Premier League spot.

The Final Day

Match 38

4 Battles on the day

1st place
View attachment 313559View attachment 313558
Chelsea Vs Man Utd
The chances here are beyond mega low. Already relegated Leicester are all that can help me now but i expect little of them away never mind at home. We just have to go for the win at Crystal Palace and hope.

3rd & 6th Place
Tottenham Vs Arsenal
At home to Everton Spurs have perhaps the easier tie but themselves and Arsenal are playing the two Mersyside teams and these two games will settle 3rd and 6th with the teams already in the main positions heavy favorites.

17th Place
Burnley have every chance to retain there spot in the league as they are at home to 16th place Aston villa who have only scored 25 goals all season. Swansea have to go to West Brom and go for a win although with a goal difference advantage they could get away with a draw if Burnley loose.

1st Half

Man Utd had near total domination at selhurst park but its still 0-0. We'll be going attacking in the second half right off. Chelsea fell behind at kick off from a David Nugent goal but Fabregas got them back on track and it sits at 1-1 so title battle is as it was.
Arsenal are loosing at Liverpool while Tottenham are having similar success 1-0 up at half time to Everton. Liverpool need a 1 goal swing as it stands to move into 6th.
No goals in the relegation battle which is status quo.

2nd Half
United came out and were class right away with 2 goals in 3 minutes from Old Man Van Persie set us up to get the win to do what we had to do. So whats going down at Stamford Bridge with the league leaders Chelsea. Well very little till the 82nd minute when MAN UTD MIDFIELDER NICK POWELL GAVE LEICESTER THE LEAD!!!!! they would hold on till the 89th minute when Ramires pulled Chelsea level but that was all they could do to throw away the league on the final day!
Another side that self destructed on the final day was Everton. Didnt have to win but just keep it tight and not loose by 2 or more goals. They went on to loose 4-0 at Spurs who locked down 3rd spot with our Liverpool beating Arsenal.
At the bottom Burnley had the advantage with fixtures but couldnt make it work as a late goal from Villa's Kozak sent them down as Swansea drew 0-0 at West Brom enough to survive by a few goals.

Yes, Swansea survive! I have a soft spot for them.

Oh & congrats on the title mate, well done! Lol ;)

End of Season

A Great comeback by United to win the League after our mid season form almost cost us.
Man City's lack of Champions League football next season led to Manuel Pellagrini getting sacked then replaced by Unai Emery as did Aston Villa's Paul Lambert who were then taken over by business man Graham Taylor who picks Tony Pulis to be his first manager.
West Ham are also taken over by of all people Randy Lerner
In a replay of one of the best FA Cup finals ever Liverpool beat West Ham this time in a 4-0 drubbing
Shock in award for player of the year. A United player but wouldnt have been in my top 3!
Chelsea win a 2nd Champions League while English domination was confirmed with Arsenal's extra time win over Besiktas in the Europa League final.

Top Scorer - Van Persie - 27
Manager of the Year - Darran Donald
Team of the Year - Shaw, Rafael, Rojo, Rooney, Januzaj, Van Persie

Other Leagues
Barcelona regain La Liga beating Real by 2 points. The big shock of the season was the top scorer. Mandzukic won it bu 9 goals!View attachment 313122

In Italy Juventus remain as dominant as ever. well clear of Napoli who were well clear of Inter who were well clear of Roma. Sassuolo shock everyone getting 6th just missing out on European football.

Would appear my beloved Deportivo have once again been bundled out of la Liga :'(

POY = Januzaj? Barely remember you mentioning his name!

Any massive transfer news on the horizon?

Yep Deportivo finished 19th 4 points off safety. What they could have done with Roy Makaay or Diego Tristan huh

Januzaj was 2nd in terms of average rating averaged over a goal or assist every game. Nothing special, i'd have chose RVP or Mata but not my call. Sure i'll get screwed out of a few manager of the year awards before its all said and done.

Summer update almost done. Be with you shortly

Season 2

2015/16

Pre Season

Major transfers in and out once again.
Other top 4 sides mainly strengthen with squad players.

Targets
Premiership - Title Challenge
FA Cup - Win
League Cup - Back up players
Champions League - Quarter finals

Im not being too ambitious with the changes we've made to the team. League is always a must in my eyes. After last seasons mess up against Huddersfield we have to end our mega Cup drought. Back in Europe after a 1 year absence. I'd hope for much more but would accept getting to the Quarter Finals

Transfers
View attachment 312975
I got rid of so many poor youth players that i've had to filter the free transfers out

In
Mario Gotze - AM
View attachment 312974
My strategy for the summer was work through the player search list and go after unsettled players that clubs are in talks with, hence how i found Gotze who should be a key player for the next decade for under £30m.

Eder Balanta - DC
View attachment 312973
I've not found the story but thanks to whoever it was i read the story who had signed Balanta who i forgot was an amazing signing for me in last years game.

Silvio Lung Jr - GK
View attachment 312972
Back up keeper. Will only play if De Gea goes off by force.

Falcao signed on a permanent deal and 2 Youngsters join for the youth team
View attachment 312968View attachment 312967

Out
We'll start at the top. Last seasons top scorer Robin Van Persie joins Real Madrid for £17m. He was about to turn 32 and i thought this was the last time we could make a decent return on him and the money could go towards the cut price deal for Falcao.
Michael Carrick was another squad players who was getting to the end of there career and was moved on to give youth a chance.
Jonny Evans left to give up space to new defender Balanta and the kids
Sime Vrsaljko was a back up player signed for £7m and made 6 starts for me last year so to more than double the value in one year.
Squad & former loan players Zaha, Lidegaard, Henriquez, Janko, Powell, Cleverly & Lingard

All Summer transfers
View attachment 312971View attachment 312970

Chelsea
Jackson Martinez could be the buy of the summer from Porto for£16m and 2 midfielders Sergio Canales from Sociedad & Onazi is brought in to replace Mikel who is the only squad player sold.

Arsenal
3 Players in each position Defender Van Dijk from Marsailes, Midfielder Jojic from Dortmund & Attacker Bernard. Sell both there main strikers Podolski to Real Madrid & Giourd to Southampton.

Man City
Unai Emery's 1st window saw top dutch players Memphis Depay, Stefan De Vrij & Jordy Clasie are joined by Spurs Jan Vertonghen & Lars Bender. Alvaro Negrado completes his move to Valencia while back ups Sinclair & Demichellis.

Liverpool
Big summer of signings. Genoa's forwards Paulo Dybala joins Man Utd reject Ben Amos, Blackburns Jordan Rhodes and young prospects Carlos Fierro & Milan Badeij. Older players Rikie Lambert & Kolo Toure leave

Tottenham
Not sure if we slept through something here but they got Cristian Rodriguez for £1.6m! Other players topping up there squad depth is Zaha, Adam Johnson & John Stones.

Balanta ousts Rojo from the starting 11. Pogba & Mata make a ridiculous midfield that go to our new moto "We'll score more than you" Only change to the front 4 is Falcao taking over from where RVP left off.

Really nice here mate. Only just seen the story. Thats a **** of an attack!

Rooney did well for you, was pants for me!

Man Utd vs Liverpool
This will not be the usual final pre season friendly. Liverpool have a more settled squad but hopefully we'll pull the magic out of the hat.

Man Utd 1-2 Liverpool
View attachment 312867
Always going to be a close game and despite playing well a draw would have been fair but 1st trophy of the year goes to Liverpool.

Week 1

Stoke Vs Man Utd
Shouldnt the defending champions start at home? oh well i guess gets atricky tie out of the way right at the get go. Michael Carrack plays the team that sold him for hardly a million this summer.

Stoke 0-3 Man Utd
View attachment 312858
Perfect start. Back up forward got a double on his return and our big summer arrival Gotze put some icing on the cake with the 3rd.

Week 2

Man Utd Vs Huddersfield
2 cup games last season and we could only draw them both. Tonight is our chance for REVENGE

Man Utd 6-0 Huddersfield

Hernandez hit a hatrick as his run as a starting player ends. A double from Rooney & Januzaj put the final nail in the redemption job.

Man City was the team to drop points this week. Good away wins for Chelsea & Arsenal

Hopefully Rooney isn't being a little **** for you, cant stand him in this game
