The small town of Fleetwood has been saddened by the death of local eccentric millionaire Stanley King. "Crazy Stan was known as a passionate fan of local football team Fleetwood Town, and in a touching gesture he left his entire multi-million pound fortune to the club.
but there is a small condition. Stan was a passionate fan of homegrown football he added the condition that his gift be spent on youth infrastructure and not wasted on headline-grabbing foreign transfers which he said were harming the national team.
The big hearted fan showed incredible insight before his death in negotiating a deal with Sep Blatter to allow the club to accept the money without affecting the newly instituted Financial Fair Play Policy.
another deal with the English FA will see Fleetwood become the breeding ground of English football with the promise of a youth setup based on the successful models already showing fruitition at Swansea and Southampton, Fleetwood supporters are excited by the prospect of the next Ward-Prowse or Luke Shaw wearing the badge.
Construction has now begun on a new Centre of young excellence opposite the newly named King stadium.
Manager Graham Alexander said "this news is not of interest to me. right now I'm focused on this season" but the 41 year old Scot must be looking forward to next years youth intake.
New Chairman Andy Pilley also said "we are pleased to announce plans to visit every Secondary school in the country to find the next generation of players"
