FM 2010 Installation Problems

Have downloaded full version of FM2010 today successfully via Steam, on my Windows Vista Laptop,and when I go to launch the game it comes up with
" Football Manager 2010 10.1.Of84847 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I'm having the same problems as Jazza3, JP Woody i've tried what you suggested but when i do an error message comes up saying 'This application has failed to start because d3dx9_41.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.' Not sure if anyone else is having this problem? Im reluctant to re-install as it has took me two hours to get this far. Any ideas?

just follow my link above and download the direct x.
install it and it will work fine.

Hey mate, i followed your link and installed the direct x download. But im still having the same problem.

I'm currently installing FM10 using the disc and not using steam in the InstallAnywhere box it was all going fine now it says installing data and it seems to have crashed becuase the progress bar hasnt moved for the past 25 minutes

Hmm its still not working so going to try and re-install just incase.

I downloaded that link you posted so i dont understand why its not working.

If this doesnt work do you have any ideas what i can try next mate?

i believe for most of the guys here having the same prob we install fm2010 using stream,after update then we install the direct x..

if they way you do is diff than us mayb you should try that.
its worth trying i guess

Hey man did this work for you or not? Im having the same trouble but still cant see mto get it to work after downloading that link.

we all are having the same prob..
but we can play after download and install direct X.

if you still having the same problem then i guess you have no choice but to wait for someone else to assist you
