I'll tell you what I tell the missus; Nagging wont get the job done any quicker! :P

Fair enough, just don't want people losing interest is all ;) plus I have a killer save going on right now with Woodlands Wellington in Singapore (emulation Lippo in India ;) ) so that can take up my time. Also, SI have just released details on a new feature for FM 16 called Fantasy Draft, which might work perfectly for this competition. Can't wait for the new game to come out :)!

Yeah I saw that & this was the first thing I thought of :P

I think a limit for the games to be played is quite harsh, what are the circumstances if we don't manage it?

I know FM is commonly known for people being on it all the time, and I have nothing against those who are but that's definitely not the case for me, as much as it seems the opposite with how long my story is, I play and post, I haven't played the game other than my story in a good 9 months, so as you imagine it's took me that long to do 10 seasons.

the problem me and lippo have seems to be time, we spend a lot of time on this website in work, heck sometimes if no ones in I can go on it in work, but along with a girlfriend and social life and occasion ally working away it can be sometimes hard to find the time, and with the time zones being completely different it does make it awkward for us, some might say I shouldn't have said I will play in the tournament of I didn't have the time, but it's not just the time, it's the time zones, every other game has been fine!

I need to to look up the timezones so I know what time it is for lippo, as great as FM is I don't want me or him staying up until 4:00 am just to get one game played, it's not right!

Yes Jamie! :)

I 110% agree with everything you have said Jamie but surely there has to be a limit of say 2 weeks because otherwise the competition will lose all it's interest. Within 2 weeks you both could have planned a time in advance when you could do it.

I understand what you are saying because in less than 2 weeks (for myself) I go to university for the first time and that means that my schedule is going to be a lot more intense but having time constraints of 2 weeks should give me enough time to plan in advance the time to play with my opponent.

Tell me if I'm wrong but I just think that is the fairest way for everyone involved. :S

EDIT: As to the question of what if we don't manage it, what about a 0-0 draw? Obviously for the latter stages something else will have to be done but seeing as its the group stages that is the only way I think it can be done.

Myself and Matt are struggling to get a game organised too, i've messaged him a few times but he mustn't have much spare time recently as i've not had a reply from him for a while.

I get your points, but with the timezone being different it causes a whole new problem, I'm 21 and passed the days am I going into work tired as **** just for a game, I used to do that a lot with my obsession of Fifa :P

I am 100% against the 0-0 if we can't get a game going, because I could just let that happen because I would qualify with a superior goal difference to Lippo no matter what Craig and Matt's result was, so no that's not fair on anyone.

I'm online for a while now so if Lippo comes online we will play, but it's 9:00 am in Oz so chances of that are slim, unless Lippo works nights :P

But yeah, 0-0 is not an option because it favours me, and that's unfair!

If me and Lippo can't manage a game by the deadline then I will forfeit and Craig can qualify, depending on his result with Matt anyway

I think it'd be a big shame if anyone had to forfeit their games, i really wouldn't want that to happen :/ a draw between Jamie and Lippo would favour Jamie, a draw between me and Matt would knock me right out, Jamie or Lippo forfeiting would send the other straight through and me depending on my result, Matt forfeiting would guarantee me a place regardless of the other result.

I'd much rather we all made sure our games were played, i don't mind waiting as long as it takes.

Yeah that's fine I didn't really think about that.

That's how I feel, we're not all free at the same time,

Being realistic this was always going to be a problem of the tournemant, and to be fair the only one.

Like I said I will forfeit if everyone else finds this a huge problem, if you're in the tourney you will not lose interest, even if you have to wait a couple of days longer.

Let us all know your feedback on this, we're all playing this so your opinion matters just as much as ours :)

I think we should just leave it as it is and let people play when they can. We all have other commitments outside the world of FM and this combined with time differences makes it difficult to schedule some matches.

I personally haven't had a problem scheduling a match yet, but all my opponents have been on a similar timezone.

We still have 2 months before the next FM comes out and its not like we are planning to have another tournament before its release. So i say there is no huge rush to play the matches, although obviously the sooner they can be played the better, which everyone has acknowledged.

Excited for this!

And as for everyone else, yea I'm fine I just didn't want people losing interest :) as long as you play your games eventually, I'll be happy don't worry!

Building suspense, might not get a post up today.....

It was a tough game no doubt, we played better but it wasn't easy at all...

We managed 10 more shots than Lippo, butonly doubled the amount of Clear Cut Chances..

James scored our first which can only be described as a nice finish. The rest of the game was Ronaldo, as always. He's been a key figure to out group and continued his great form with a brace here.

Lippo's Losers gave it a go though, with Leno making some good saves, and holding on to them too.

MOTM match was James, with Ronaldo a close second, Alex Sandro played extremely well which could give him a place in the last 8.

We are eagerly waiting for a result from Craig and Matt, which will seal the groups second spot.

My money is on Lippo to go through, but with myself beating him heavily, he will be hoping for a performance from Matt to help him out.

I'm drunk, I need a kebab....

Congrats to Jamie, a well earned place in the quarters!

Felt the score-line was a bit rough on me but cant deny Waka-Waka was the better side.

Actually, looking back there is not a lot I would change if we got the chance to meet again, not often you can say that after a 3-0 drubbing but a more accurate pass here or better touch there & it could have been a very different game.

Oh well, that's football isn't it? Good luck in the quarters mate, hope to be joining you. Good luck as well to Craig & Matt, just don't draw! That would be a horrendous way for Craig to exit!

Thanks man, yeah scoreline was definitelt nicer than it should have been, hoping for a cracker between Matt and Craig.

Eagerly waiting the result, but happy to maintain unbeaten and can't wait for the quarters!

If I'm right, that will mean me and Brendn will play in the quarters, a huge game considering we have almost 1 million views on our stories between the both of us!

Carragher v Mendez

This time for a massive place in the last 4.

(I hope me being drunk has not got this wrong and will make a fool of myself :P
