Another new feature announcement for Football Manager 2011
As promised yesterday we’ve got another feature to announce for Football Manager 11

Squad registration / squad number split – We’ve separated out the squad registration and squad numbering screens, so you can now give squad numbers to players who don’t need to be registered.

Newgen revamp – Newly generated players, or newgens as we call them, are now created using a new system that looks at player templates for different styles of player, as well as taking national traits into account, to ensure that the types of player in the game are constant throughout the life of your own saved game.

Match analysis enhancement
Match analysis improvements – lots of new options available on the match analysis chalkboard, with offsides, free kicks, corners, throw ins, clear cut chances, half chances all now available to analyse via the system, as well as the option to show all of the players match actions at the same time, rather than having to look at them all separately.

These look very good, looking forward to this more and more :'(

They all look pretty minor changes to the game. I just hope the bugs are ironed out, and that there is no corner tactic that works almost every time, or any wonder tactics.

they are releasing them randomly each day, some will be small, some will be big. the match analysis is big for me personally as i use it a lot to refine my play

I'm the same, the newgen thing is of course fairly small, but it's a nice touch...

I have never listened to the podcasts, what have they said on there? The stuff you posted above madsheep?

This was announced earlier than madsheep's posts, but we already sort of knew it:

More New Features For Football Manager 2011
We've been a bit quiet since the press announcement, apart from a bunch of things being announced on the two Football Manager podcasts that have been released since then (they're still available on iTunes for free if you haven't got them yet), but to celebrate the international matches this weekend, I thought it'd be nice to announce something else just before leaving for England v Bulgaria (**** these Friday evening kick offs!).

So, a lucky dip revealed the following....

Press Conference revamp – Not just a new look, and not just 150+ new press conference questions, but also all of the previous 500+ press conference questions have been fully reviewed, with possible answers revised where necessary, leading to press conferences being more intuitive and in situ.

It'll be worth checking back on footballmanager.com or the forums over the weekend if you want to know a few more things – to find out when they go live, just follow Sports Interactive on Twitter, or join the official Facebook group at www.facebook.com/officialfootballmanager - there won’t be lots of announcements, but at least one a day. And new screenshots on Tuesday too!

Monday's New Feature
Monday's new feature is the Set Piece Creator – Much like last years tactics creator, we’ve now added a set piece creator to the game which allows you to set up your tactics at set pieces in a much more intuitive way.

not sure how you can determine that as proof?, they said they would be releasing something new each day, it may be big, it may be small. considering there have been over 500 new changes, it doesnt give you a timeframe

Oh right.

Oh right.
sorry thats not a pop at you if it came out that way. its just that half the thread is speculating on release, when miles himself said he doesnt know. we're all fm addicts on here, when the date is known its going to be all over this site, there will probably be at least a dozen threads all saying the same thing from people

No, I know it wasn't a pop at me, you are right in what you said, I've not been looking round this thread so I just thought, judging by them screens that the game was nearly finished, I didn't know that there were alot more things to be shown, I know no-one knows the release, just some people are saying December, some saying October, but now I know by what you said, no-one knows. :)

its becuase the retailers are guessing as well. Because they taking pre orders now as well, some people take their dates as set in stone (understandibly so). 29 oct is assumed since its the last friday in october (last years release date) then 3rd december was assumed because of rumours that SI would push the date back.
