Yea, cant do anything now.

The clubs that showed slight interest werent willing to meet either of the transfer fee or wage demands.

I did however sell Maxi to Porto for 7.5mil. Signed Niko Kranjcar for 1.2m on loan and after tweaking the budgets a bit have 10milion left with 8days of my first transfer window left.
 
hi guys, i just recently joined this forum...
I got some problems with my liverpool tactics, i played 4-1-1-3-1 which allowed me to fill dmc, mc and am in the middle position. with average attacking movement training. i once got 121goals over the season with this tactic but in the second season I'm struggled to have those moments anymore. are there any suggestions that could help me solve this?
 
New Liverpool Career Review

Just started a new career with Liverpool as I have some free time and haven't played in a while. Started and the first thing i did was sort out the squad; i put jones in reserves with Aurelio and put Robinson and Flanagan in the first team. After doing this i felt i needed a young goal keeper, central midfielders and a young striker to add some potential to the team.I have sold Jones and Aurelio and gave spearing a free transfer. this gave me a transfer budget of 15mil after asking for more wages and moving the slider all the way to the right. In this save I will be buying all my players with cash up front as I feel it is more realistic and makes it harder. Before buying anyone i sorted out the squad statuses, fired and hired alot of staff and sorted out the training so they are all now 4-5 stars, removed affiliated clubs apart from nacional (will make some new ones soon), promoted some youngsters to the reserves and arranged some friendlies.

The first person i bought was Branescu from Juventus for £2.5mil (3.5 star potential) then i bought Allen from Swansea for £6.5mil (3.5 star potential) and finally Zaha from Palace for £6.5m (4 star potential). after these and maybe a few in January and start of next season i will only be selling for a few years as i will specialise on the youths and spending money on training facilities and stuff.

After these signings my squad is GK: Reina, Doni and Branescu RB: Johnson and Flanagan LB: Enrique and Robinson CB: Agger, Skrtel, Coates, Kelly and Carragher DM: Lucas CM: Allen, Henderson, Adam and Shelvey AM: Gerrard RW: Kuyt and Maxi LW: Downing and Bellamy ST: Suarez, Carroll and Zaha.

Over the first 2 years i will selll doni, cole, aquilani, Kuyt and Maxi. Then i will buy a RW (Probably Hoilett) and introduce Sterling, Move Carragher to coaching and introduce Wilson and then sell bellamy and introduce any LW youth from intake or buy one. After this i will not buy anyone for a few seasons and spend money on upgrades for facilities.

After doing all of this i set up my first tactics (4-2-3-1) it is attacking but has a solid defense with Reina in goal. With this tactic i hope to achieve the target i set with the board and finish in the top 4. The squad will get better over time as most players have not reached there full potential yet.

This is the tactic i will use over the first season although i may tweak a few things. It did look shaky in pre-season but has done well in the first few games in the premier league against Sunderland beating them 1-0 and beating Arsenal 2-1 away.

Hi all on one of my Liverpool save's i made a Attacking 4-3-3 Tactic and a training set and i am looking for some feed back on them from fellow Lfc players and any feed back would be greatful.

Tactic:

My line-up was
Right to left
GK Reina
DEF Johnson Skertel Agger Enrique
MID Adam Lucas Stevie
ATT Downing Suarez Hazard

The tactic uses wingers to cut inside so you should use Right footed on left and visa versa.
I never set up my set pieces due to not wanting the corner bug being in the tactic by accident all are set mixed and standard player instructions.
If i had set these up i am sure the results below would have improved.

I went on holiday for a full season using this tactic finished 2nd W23 D10 L5 F74 A33
Suarez scored 38 Downing 11 Maxi 9 Hazard 8 Gerrard 8 Assists Hazard 16 Adam 13 Lucas 12 Downing 11

Self explanatory
Had steady improvements and very little downgrading of attribrutes only when injured or age decline with these.
Please check the workload after importing these for some reason when i import them the workload slider resets to a low level they should all be around 3-4 clicks below heavy.

Any feedback would great thanks hope it works for you who try these.

I started playing FM2012 a week and a half ago and this is what I did so far.
I'm in the middle of my second season, 1st place with a record of 16-3-0 with 4 points ahead of ManCity. Waiting for the start of FA Cup and playing CL 1s Knockout round against OL (finished 1st in group ahead of RM). In my first season I have won a double: PL (29-6-3 93pts) with 10 points ahead of Arsenal. Won the Community Shield against Arsenal (my current score against Arsenal is 5-0-0 with goal difference 14-1). Won manager of the year.

At the beginning of 1st season I bought Sime Vrsaljko from GNK Dinamo who is now a key member of my team. I also bought Raul for less than 1M. He played great, scoring 7 goals in 2 months (constant rotation among him, Carroll and Suarez) until he got injured for 4 months and couldn't hit the stadium, let alone the goal after. This season he's playing very well when he's needed.

In the mid-season I bought Mateo Kovacic, another Dinamo prospect for the future and every chance he got so far he used very well - I recommend both of them to everyone. Also bought Carlos Fierro and had one Marco Antonio Bueno already coming to the club when I took over - both Mexican strikers with great potential. All of them (Raul, Vrsaljko, Kovacic and Fierro) cost me less than 5M, so I decided to get Matej Delac - a young Croatian goalkeeper with great potential. So I bought a lot of young players, which many people who are in later seasons describing as great. I need one more young prospect - a defender, so any recommendation would be great! After winning FA Cup and PL I got enough money to buy Hazard and Llorente who already scored just 3 goals less than Suaret in the whole previous season. Had to spend big for those two but it's paying off. 108M for 8 players.
Got rid of Adam, Carroll, both GKs (Doni and the other one - Reina conceded 30 goals total in my time at Anfield), Shelvey, Cole and some others, and ones I don't intend to use I sent to Rsrvs - like Maxi, Carroll before he was sold, Bellamy...

I'm using a 4-2-3-1 Assymetric like with constantly rotating some players

I'm not so good with tactic options cause I don't know how to see If some of them work or not, so I just adjust my game in match instructions if needed and that generally works like a charm.

Feedback, tips and recommendations are more than welcome (especially for wonderkids, and I really need a great ML, since I only have Downing who is not all that great)!

Edit: I also contracted a bunch of coaches, so now I have no less than 3.5 stars for each training category (if that is even necessary)

Downing won PL player of the season in my save with me. Maxi also chipped in with an average rating above 7.5.

You don't need much investment season 1, but look at Radja Nainggolan and Andile Jali - my only two signings season 1.
 
Well I'm in season two now if you got me wrong, so I need to strengthen up for CL and playing on 3 or 4 fronts. I had some problems with injuries. Aside from Raul who looked really promising for an older player, Downing and Hazard also got injured (4 months and 3 months). After returning, Downing is not playing very well. He got back in October of my second season (got injured in European championship) and even now, as I am slowly entering February, he scores nothing, had only 2 assists and gets tired very fast. Hazard is slowly getting into his pre-injury form, assisting regularly, but his shots are not so powerful and precise as they used to be. I'll take a look at those players, thanks!


Also, I have a question - I have a rather large complacency problem. Having troubles with teams placed 13-20 when playing home. It's easier to beat Chelsea or ManUtd. And another thing - how can I make players pass to team mates that are in better positions (during counter attacks or such)? I had so much opportunities that were wasted because a player shot from a stupid angle rather than passing to a player right in front of an empty goal.
Also, I took notice of my striker running all over the place - from wing to wing often when we start attack. How can I "glue" him to his position?

Got a maximum budget of £45m but I don't want to spend it all and want realistic signings that could happen IRL haha. Any recommendations?

I would recomend Douglas Costa from Shaktar i got him in 2012 for 14mil think he wanted around 70k wages plays both RW and LW amongst others also got 26 mil for him 2 years later when i changed tactics. Also is strong with both feet.

And James Rodriguez from porto cost me 2.5mil a decent back up but with right training could become 1st player Wages were about 30k Left footed plays LW.

And cavani cost me 35mill 1st season and has got 230 goals in 221 games in all comps so far

Also away vs Shakhtar the third kit is used as their home kit is red and black.

Nice thread by the way been reading for a few days picked up some nice tips for my team. Will post my squad in a day or so I am just starting season 3 atm :) Won the league and champs last season BOOM
