England qualify for South Africa through impressive Ukraine victory

article-0-04256B2E000005DC-121_306x525.jpg

England finally showed some class as they tore apart Ukraine today. Ashley Young was in top form, looking dangerous at all times. It is believed that the narrow formation was played and it looked a lot more effective on the pitch. James Milner and Frank Lampard got the goals for England today.

I was very impressed by the boys performance today, to bring me my first victory as manager and to bring me out of my big depression. Ashley Young had a great game today and I am delighted for James Milner, getting his first international goal. Frank Lampard has also been a revelation as captain and he is the only player that has impressed me each and every match.

Much better result, stick with your central tactics as the wingers don't seem to be working at all! Good luck in the next few games, looking forward to seeing how you do in the World Cup, brave move saying you will leave the story if you don't win!

Thanks Burkeyoa, I hope you keep reading.

I am very pleased with the performance and the result today. We are starting to play well again and the lads from Villa are really showing their worth. The men on form will be on their way to South Africa and they may as well book their tickets right now.

Mr Fage will not be happy at the last headline XD Keep going though mate, although would have liked to see new team.

England boss arranges new friendlies

Germany+national+football+team+2.jpg

England manager Daniel Oakes arranged two friendlies for the Three Lions to add to their calendars. The first will be a trip to Afghnistan in around a months time. The second friendly will be a much tighter affair, taking on their main rivals Germany, led by Michael Ballack at Wembley. This will be a week before the World Cup.

Daniel Oakes said:
I truelly believe that these friendlies are perfect for the time of year they are being played. I expect us to hammer Afghanistan and build some confidence from it. I also believe that after facing Egypt and Mexico, Germany will prove a test for us and tell us if we are ready for the big stage or not. If we beat the Germans it will be a huge morale booster heading into the finals.

England unimpressive in victory

Goals from Frank Lampard and Jermain Defoe helped England to a very unimpressive win over Afghanistan. England will need to play a lot better than this if they want to bring back the trophy from South Africa next summer.

A fantastic hattrick from Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe led England to an impressive 4-0 victory over Egypt tonight. England, as a team were rather splendid and many fans are finally appreciating Oakes' work. Defoe was fantastic today, finishing clinically and at his best.

I am very impressed with the lads performance tonight, for the first time since I have joined here as manager. Jermain was fantastic, yet again covering for Wayne's unfortunate mediocracy and banging in three goals for the fun of it. If we play like this, we can quite possibly capture the World Cup this summer.

well played with defoe scoring 4 buddy he was sick for me as rooney was out for the world cup gutted but ur doing great
