"FORM IS TEMPORARY, CLASS IS PERMANENT"..... YNWA- LIVERPOOL FC!

Liverpool announce the signing of Keisuke Honda for $1.4m.
The figure was agreed between CSKA Moscow & LFC after LFC made an approach to bring the player prematurely.
Reason cited is Lucas' sale, and also the fact that Coutinho is out injured for 3 months, picking up an injury in the game against West Ham United that Liverpool eventually lost 1-0, with captain Gerrard seeing red!

Also, to bolster the midfield, Alok signed Steven Defour & Tomas Rincon for $3.5m & $2.5m respectively from their clubs.

So we might see a deep midfield pairing of Stevie G & Stevie D for the club!!

Liverpool announce the signing of promising full back Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton for an initial fee of $15m.
The young lad would easily slot into the void created by the departure of Glen Johnson, adding much needed depth to the team, and hoping to make this spot his own for years to come.
Also, Clyne must be hoping to replace Glen Johnson from the national team going into the World Cup in Brazil next year!

We have had our share of luck in some games so far (including friendlies), coming and scoring goals late into the matches after making some changes...

So far this tactic isn't fluid, I'd like the lads to get used to it definitely...

But with a game against Man City(Away) coming up, I needed to make a tactic that's stronger defensively...

Tiki taka can wait.. I don't want attractive soccer at the moment at the expense of results!

So whatever we can do to earn those points, we are gonna do that!!

City game and update in some time.

Also, we signed Eduardo Salvio on loan, and I might sign him permanently in case he plays well..
I needed some depth to cover us in case of injuries..
Diego Contento was transfer listed, and I believe Enrique needs some competition definitely!

Clyne as stated earlier is going to be an integral part of our team for years to come.

Rincon and Defour add much needed depth.

A sad result, actually...
that's 2 red cards for Stevie G in 3 games now.
Unacceptable!!!

I guess that might be down to my insistence... I have been trying to play him in the Regista role...
Maybe he's not ready for that yet?

anyway, I had a chat with him after the game!

A tough game awaits us in COC...

Elsewhere, Shaqiri is injured for 3/4 weeks!!

Squad depth save us!

I am changing tactic for the next few games...

will only post results and transfer updates now...

guess there's no interest?

couldn't have asked for a better result!
the lads gave their all... wasn't an easy game, and we played exceptionally well to earn the much needed 3 points...

so far we haven't been convincing away from home..

next up is Aston Villa as we head to the international break with some positivity!

Also, England have qualified for the WC14!

Brave man with all those signing.
If they all settle, you'll have worked miracles! :p

thanks buddy!
just went with selling what i could for a good price, as long as i could ;)
not very fluid, guys settling in so far...
but with every win, the confidence grows!

Confidence breeds more confidence.
Confidence is a good thing...
I don't care about score lines...
I will take a win, howsoever it comes...
Over time, we'll be playing beautiful soccer,
but that, for now, can wait...

These are a group of young lads,
who all want to prove something!

NEXT UP IS A TOUGH GAME AT ANFIELD AGAINST HIGH FLYING NEWCASTLE UNITED(2ND)...

CAN WE MAKE ANFIELD OUR FORTRESS AGAIN?

You spent and sold for a fair bit of cash!

had to!
i needed to buy some kids that might become world class in no time, and then they would cost fortune...
so that was more of an investment...
and selling the players i sold for those prices, in fact was no brainer...
also i had to do that 'coz i barely had any more $$$!!!

concerned by our away form...

Saints performance was lacklustre, dull...
Clyne and Henderson gonna warm the bench till they show to me signs of improvement in training!

I know there are many admirers of the tiki-taka style of play...
For years, I too had been one...
In awe, how Barca would play...
But in the end, POSSESSION, & all those beautiful passes, what are they worth!!!

We lost to this team!!! For F*** sake!

And this is why I'm tired of tiki taka...
I want shots... shots on goals!
I want the players to take their chances...
create goals out of nowhere...
become confident...

MEETING THE LEGEND

I am still learning... that's what I tell myself.
Unknown into the world of soccer...
I have been criticized, and at times applauded at what I might be trying to do with this club!

After the last game we lost, and my frustration at the tiki taka style of play...
the unexpected happened!

Johan Cruijff..... called me!
Could I say a no?!! No way!
The legend called me, and I flew straight to Amsterdam early next morning...
We sat, spoke, discussed ideas...

He spoke about potential.
I asked where had I been going wrong...
We spoke in length about matters of team building, tactics...
style of play... possession...
Just about everything!

No imitating Barca, no following Guardiola...
No Dortmund/Bayern tactic...

The legend spoke with such enthusiasm, charm!!! Patience...
if only I could imbibe the same...

but now I had his number and could call up whenever I was in any doubt!!

He simply said give your players the freedom!
Play to the advantage of the team...

Remember- "Form is temporary, CLASS IS PERMANENT"!!!
Your lads might perform badly in a game, but make them believe in themselves...
and you believe in them too!!!

On my flight back, I chalked out tactics after tactics...
What did Cruijff want me to do!

I can not let him down!
